our final (and most remote) stop: montezuma. we literally did nothing for 4 days. it was fantastic.

managed to finally catch the sunset after nagging jenny and alex all week...and boy it did not disappoint

road trippin’ to tamarindo

jungle trek DONE. a crazy 6 hour trek up a volcano, a swim in a crater, another mini hike to get back out of a crater, all topped off by some relaxing hot springs (and a cheeky homemade cocktail)

turned out our hostel/hut/shack in la fortuna did not have any walls BUT it did have an abundance of geckos and mosqutios...so yay for that

lets hit the road! we scooted in our wee 4x4 north up to la fortuna and into the mountains. we were warned of steep and rocky roads and boy were they right!

probably the busiest corner in san jose...sleep was not happening. Louisa arrived this afternoon after a turbulent flight, the gang was finally together!

just got back from the most wonderful trip to costa rica. 14 days that felt like months and months...started in the capital: san jose. slightly grubby city but with a lot of character, filled with old buildings and bustling with people.

early morning walk in to the centre from the west end. this city is filled with so much beauty and life, I sometimes forget to appreciate it. its even better in the sunshine...

throwback to the view from my lovely wee flat in dundee. feels like a world away. (an hour and half on the train, in reality)
