The road trip hasn’t been updated in forever, so here is a relatable comic from yesteryear instead!

“Purchasing”

What happened was she loaded up on the free holiday booze and it turned out to be no drop XD

We did some underwater fighting. One of our opponents was a haunted treasure chest that hung around sunken ships. As you can imagine, they had some pretty expensive loot.

Triisu tried looting one.

“Great,” Trii’s voice was thick with sarcasm, “that chest had wine. JUST what I needed.”

Trii must’ve still had a lot of booze left over from earlier when she tried purchasing enough alcohol to share with all of us. Unfortunately, they were no drop items, so she had to drink it all herself.

“Bad news,” Khassy said, looking at the map. “Our next destination is through Kael Drakkel. The Wakening lands.”

“Noooo.” Triisu wailed. “I died there!”

“You’ve been there?”

Oh. She was getting it mixed up with Sleeper’s tomb. Sleeper’s tomb, Wakening lands.

Zoning back into Kael Drakkel, we were met with these red guys who had followed us there. Weird! Doesn’t the train usually disperse after you zone out?

We weren’t going to get much further with them blocking the way, so we decided to call it a day.

AFK, Khassy was making a cinnamon roll, Triisu was distracted by a phone call....

When we got out, I was amazed that we all survived. Usually Rawry takes the fall at times like these....

In Kael Drakkel, we were faced with a bunch of giants! It didn’t help that the Bristlebane Twins shrunk us down to his level. Triisu tried her shrinking spell on one of our opponents, but I don’t think it ended up working.

All told, we got pretty far in. I was wary of running into stronger giants and insisted on scoping out the area just in case.

As we went on to Kael Drakkel, Triisu explained that she had been converted by the cultists in the West Karana. Now, she cannot resist “laying her body on the fire” or clicking on anything that looks like it could be a portal.

It was only after our misadventure to Sleeper’s  Tomb that I learned the crazy history of this zone, and the fan lore that comes with it. What at time that would have been to be online! Who remembers this?

I like how Laksial is standing there like, “Yup. I’m with this super strong guy. Anything come through those doors Imma be okay.”

Laksial immediately set to work when he entered Sleeper’s Tomb, resurrecting our fallen ally. “Give the intern a raise!” I said. I think Khassy’s new mercenary is officially one of us now.  Regrouping, I announced that it would be best to get going to our next destination-- Kael Drakel.

“Will this zone also have AMAZING must-see beaches that KILL me?” Triisu asked, daggers in her eyes. Yup, I’m never going to live this one down. She added that it was a glowing dragon that killed her in there.

“GLOWING DRAGON?” “Several glowing dragons.”

‘So, what do you suppose are behind those doors,” I asked Khassy. Whatever it was was strong enough to take down one of us in a flat minute.

“Open those doors and you’re dead,” came Triisu’s warning from the beyond. “I died in two hits.”

“If I die, remember my name,” said Triisu.

“lol, we will,” I chuckled. Really– I thought she was joking! You know, making some dramatic words before forging a path through the great unknown without me.

“SOOOOOOOOOOOOO DON’T ENTER.”

Uh oh. Too late.

We entered.

“Oh no. Is Triisu Dead?”

I had to ask the question because I just couldn’t believe it. That had to be a changeling’s corpse, right?!

Given Triisu’s reaction upon entering the tomb, I wasn’t in any hurry to follow after her.

“Manticore crossing!”

We all stopped and let it pass. At least, long enough for Triisu to see something shiny and run up to it.

“What’s that? It’s a DRAGON!” She said as she got closer.

Your Guildmate Triisu has Completed  The Sleeper’s Tomb Traveler Achievement.

“OMG. THIS IS FREAKY GUYS.”

Reading the achievement, I realized with disappointment that this wouldn’t be a cool side quest; it was where we had been headed for all along.

“Any beaches?” I joked.

“NOPE.”

Khassy informed me that I skipped a day on our blog! Day 46 :0 apparently I misplaced those photos, so please enjoy this collection.

I have corrected the "day #" of posts by one day, so now I am back on track.

Day 46 was all about getting experience from a camp of savage frost giants.
