Canadian hammer thrower Ethan Katzberg captures commanding men's Olympic title
Canada's last Olympic sledge toss award came in Stockholm 1912
Canada's Ethan Katzberg won the gold decoration in the men's sledge toss at the Paris Olympics on Sunday with a ruling exhibition.
Katzberg, from Nanaimo, B.C., opened with an Olympic record toss of 84.12 meters and was not truly tested through the remainder of the opposition to win Canada's most memorable gold decoration in the occasion.
The supreme title holder likewise had the second-best toss at 82.28 meters.
No other contender hit the 80-meter mark.
Bence Halasz of Hungary took silver at 79.97 meters and Mykhaylo Kokhan tossed 79.39 meters to acquire bronze.
