Today I sat without internet for quite awhile, and a train of thoughts reminded me about Sanji's germa flashback.

And for some reason I thought... it does kinda feel like it fits queer exprience a bit? (I am firm believer you can argue a solid case for Sanji being a queer in thickest layers of denial).

The way Sanji is "different" from others, how his "father" tries to force him into something he isn't, expecting certain result, waiting if he would be "fixed" and giving up (to the point of declaring that Sanji isn't his son anymore) on him completely, both mental and physical abuse he receives on daily basis... what was I'm just talking about: how in families it is expected to be heterosexual cis and how people try to fix you until they gave up or think of something worse or about or about what happens in flashback with all that Germa stuff?

Sanji also does have some Things going on with his body, and both with feminity and masculinity as well. I would argue some part of his masculinity is a defensive thing that he learned with age (like he doesn't want to be as vulnerable as he was in childhood once), and how some part of his denial comes from that he doesn't care about himself as much, treating himself as undeserving of such thing.

Aegean love language / ways to show affection?

She is very clingy and touchy with someone she feels safe with. She clings more in post-timeskip; its especially visible with Shan or Sanji. With Shan she could half-hug him, pat, ruffle his hair or put her hands on his shoulders and etc; she would cuddle and hug him tightly, too. With Sanji its even worse j, because not only she can cling on him, she can kiss and place her hands in more "personal" places (or sometimes she just hugs him until it feels like she about to break his spine), kisses, smoothies and all that stuff. She is annoyingly j affectionate and lovey-dovey if you let her be.

A bit lesser than that, but words of affirmation can be this, too. She probably uses pet names A LOT or some affectionate nicknames to her friends (especially when she wants to support them). Fun fact: she likes to call Sanji something in kind of "sweetie", "cutie" and downright "sugar". He is her little cutie pie.

This one connected to her role; well, she is a cook! So remembering your specific Specific favorites and more specific tastes is kind of this. Cooking something that you love even more of that. She probably did cooked something that Shan loved to support him when she couldn't find words or anything.

I do not remember songs 😭 but I liked the one from magical mystery cure a lot as a child. This day area too. From recent rewatch I cried when I listened to winter wrap up one so ahaha

If I needed to choose the MOST favorites... Cadence and Shining Armor. Sadly, I need to rewatch series with them, but from what I remember they are very cute together. Cadence is just a sweetheart, and (as someone who is very affectionate) I like her concept a lot. Go my love powered princess. I guess I also kinda KINDA relate to Shining armor because he is also an older sibling so?? Plus I read comics and in flashback he is just the kind I would LOVE (pathetic babygirl, he is).

But if we were to expand and lessen the criteria, I also would pick Luna (because she is a moon girl, I love moon themes and her story), Celestia (half because of memes with her and other half because I feel very motherly loving vibes from her. I want her to adopt me), Chrysalis (she is funny; I like the concept of her kin and especially that the can be reformed; I would love to see an au where she is redeemed. But I also think she is charming as she is, my failgirl), Rainbow Dash (she is cool as fuck; I loved her as a kid a lot, and I find lately that I still do), Rarity (I relate to her in some mental way, she is also just... cute and charming I suppose??).
