Emery's most cherished memory is one she has with her mother. It was Emery's last birthday she spent with her before her mother left. Her dad was gone on one of his many benders and they took advantage of it, spending the whole day together. It was like her mother knew she wasn't going to be able to stay much longer because the whole day was perfect. They went to the movies, went to eat together, went shopping and came home and spent the whole afternoon together. She gave her a necklace for her birthday and Emery's never taken it off since.

Emery was nine years old when she woke up to the sound of her mother slamming the front door, leaving nothing but a life of lonliness in her wake. Her father was an abusive drunk, so she never questioned if it was something of her doing that caused her mother to want to leave. Rather, why didn't she love her enough to at least take her with her. It wasn't easy but she learned to live with her father; keep the refrigerator full of beer, leave when he started drinking, and stay gone until the sun fell and rose again. She leaned on various friends in her life to couch surf or sneak in through their windows once their parents were asleep. As much as she despised her father's vices, she quickly developed the same ones, and even a few more, as a way to cope that her younger self would have despised her for. She became a functioning alcoholic and addict of various things by the time she was 18 years old. Now, even after she built her business, her habits are still highly questionable but she's making it.

After graduating top of her class at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Evangeline knew that she’d have a career laid out for her. Moving to San Fran after college wasn’t exactly where she thought she’d end up however when opportunity struck, you’re supposed to go all in and that’s exactly what Evie did. Being an instructor for the San Francisco Ballet Company was HUGE deal, especially for someone who was only 25 at the time. She was one of only three people in the entire company that was under the age of 30 and that alone was a good enough reason for her to have to climb the social ladder and climb she did.

Miren’s most cherished memory is meeting her dads for the first time. Being kidnapped at birth by the surrogate mother, she spent the first 21 years of her life hidden. Meeting her dads was an incredible moment for her, washing away any doubts and lies of her being unwanted.

Stefan Marino is the eldest son to Maria and Antonio Marino and brother to Amalia who is three years younger. Their parents met in Italy, when his mother was studying art and design in Florence and their father was a chef at his fathers restaurant. After the falling in love, they recolated to Long Beach, California, her hometown in order for her to finish her internship. A year later they had Stefan, then a year or so later, Amalia who Stefan is quite protective over. During their time growing up in Long Beach, Stefan had his ups and downs in life, but generally grew up within a loving, caring household. While he resided there, he would often daydream of a life elsewhere. He loved nature, learning new things and exploring new places. he also had a creative mind-set and would often be found sketching and trying to create new dishes. He was a curious soul with a tendency to see the beauty in others and the world around him. He is intelligent to a degree, goal-oriented and a determined person. He is considered to be calm, sensible and a 'voice of reason' amongst his friends with a naturally wry personality and can come across blunt at times due to the way that he speaks the truth, but never with intent to inflict harm unless otherwise provoked. Recollection carries a significance that makes him nostalgic for that hopeful feeling that comes from knowing his life was about to change for the better.

In true pageant girl fashion, Riley’s most cherished memory is when she was named Miss California Teen USA. After many years of struggling to even place in pageants — especially in comparison with her sister — this was the most validating moment that all of her work was well worth it.

Riley was born in Hayward, California to the Quinn family, a whole thirteen minutes after her fraternal twin, Eleanor. And that is how she felt most of her life would go from there: coming in right behind her sister. The two were put into pageants by her parents at a very young age, which meant that they have been competing right beside each other since they were little. And of course, Riley would always come in behind her sister - which over time she would develop a bit of a complex about. She would hear that her sister is more talented, more poised — and this would take a toll on her mental health, causing her to develop an eating disorder. However, after Eleanor’s car accident and career ending injuries, all Quinn eyes were now on her. She was now their last hope - and though this pressure was a lot to handle, she also relished the moment. She was now the one getting the attention, and that had the momentum, though she hated to admit that. This push caused her to graduate from UCLA with a communications degree and a minor in dance, and then she moved to San Francisco to begin her writing career. Now, she lives in the city with her dog and two cats, still dancing in her free time and still trying to untangle all her feelings about the pageant world.

After spending the majority of her life in seclusion away from the outside world, Edith’s most cherished memory was seeing the ocean for the first time and feeling the sand at her feet. It was the moment that the vastness of the world was put into perspective for her, and equally as sad when she realized how much she had missed in her life.

Edith grew up completely isolated from the outside world. Just a few miles away from the ghost town of Garnet, Montana lay a commune cut off by society and modernity after its founder, Jeffrey Shepherd, broke off from the FLDS in 1960 to establish a Word of God of his own. The establishment itself did not have an official name - in fact, it was completely hidden from society through means that are suspicious at best, and rejected all forms of modernity and association with the outside world once it established itself as an independent entity. Though the Bible had been the main scripture, Shepherd included influences from various other teachings - the most unfortunate of which included animal sacrifices to appease some higher power. The world Edith knew involved a close-knit society and “archaic” methods of living, where several decades eventually led to an overall ignorance of modern developments. Her purpose from the moment of birth had been to grow up and be a wife chosen by their leader and birth as many followers as possible. When their crops did not flourish around Edith’s seventeenth year, Shepherd took drastic measures and suggested that animal sacrifices were no longer feasible, and that the purpose of women had changed to provide new and ‘innocent’ sacrifices of their own in the form of their first born children, per the teachings of Exodus. Edith was among one of the young women chosen to marry far younger than was customary and provide said sacrifice, but just as the horrors of their establishment had begun to come to light, the United States government intervened, having been watching and searching for any means to execute a warrant on the commune. Edith’s world was completely turned upside down when she was handed over to the proper authorities and placed in adult foster care to assimilate into modern society. The culture shock was something she was thankful for, but also despised, given that she had to completely re-learn how to function as a human being. Eight years have passed, and she has since been able to prove her independence, eventually settling in San Francisco in order to be closest to the sea, while she works on getting her GED and getting over the trauma of her upbringing.

Ember Fraiser had the perfect life. She was born into her loving family a little differently. Via surrogate she was born to her two fathers. She had everything she could ever want, including her older sister Niomi, her best friend. Her fathers always gave her and her siblings things they wanted, yet they were well grounded as well. She was happy with her life, she didn’t need anything more or anything less.  Perfect grades in school, she was the bookworm and she knew she wanted to become a lawyer one day, just like her fathers. Then her acceptance letter to Harvard came and soon she found herself a freshman walking the halls of Harvard. Nothing could stop her, she was a force to be reckoned with, then Nathan happened. There has been many moments that Alice has cherish, one very important one was finally speaking up about her relationship with her abusive ex and actually putting him in jail. Another is the moment she had her daughter, amelia.

September 11, a tiny premature baby girl was born. Alice Marie Grey, the apple of her parents eye. Her father, Michael Grey whom was a cardiac surgeon. One of the best in Seattle actually, known for his pristine learning techniques and how you could put him in any surgery and he would excel. Her mother, Monika Grey was an up and coming paralegal lawyer that had her own practice and helped people specially of the Native American heritage, giving them a voice in the courts. I guess you could say the bouncing baby girl was gonna live a lavish yet busy life. She was the only child from the two but her father did have a daughter from a previous marriage that mostly lived with her mother. Alice was bound for success, her parents would make sure of it or so they thought.  Growing up, you could say Alice had it all! The big house out in the country, surprisingly! The expensive cars, a nanny that watched and helped clean up from time to time. The family vacations out of the country, the huge family get togethers at the house and random parties her parents would throw for their co workers. It was busy and a hectic life to grow up with but alive handled it well. She didn’t start really acting out or “rebelling” til she entered high school. Once in high school, Alice joined the cheerleading team and excelled in it. By sophomore year, she was being considered to be cheer captain already. She was born to be a leader and her parents always rooted for her success. Alice had other plans, going behind her parents back and throwing parties while they were away at work or away on vacation together. Alice quickly turned from good to bad and then came the drug addiction. She started running away, sneaking out until her parents put a halt on it and sent her to a girls only school for her junior year. Come senior year, Alice was allowed to come back and go back to her home school and quickly rekindling with her cheer team. Cheering at a basketball game, she ended up meeting a guy who was in college. The two quickly fell in love with each other but he had to go back to college in San Francisco. Once Alice graduated, she found herself pregnant and picked up her things and left to go to college in San Francisco.

Dom's most cherished memory was when he met his son. He wasn't even aware of the women's pregnancy until after the birth of their child. He was able to meet his son when he was a month old, but has kept his existence close to his best considering the unsavory lifestyle he leads. The mother of his son resides within a few hours of San Francisco which is why he chose to move to the west coast.

Born to a pirate and a street walker, Dominic wasn't exactly destined for greatness. His paternal grandparents took him in in their one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, New York so he never really got a taste for the finer things. What they did give him was a full stomach and a backbreaking worth ethic. School was tough, but Dom was tougher and when his father made an appearance with an offer to work on his "cargo" ship, he jumped on the offer.  Dom excelled on the seas and the crew grew to adore their captains teenage son, but his father became jealous of his quick rise through the ranks. Concocting a story of thievery, Dom's father framed him and actually threw the young man overboard. Fortunes finally turned in his favor and he was rescued by another passing ship and brought back to shore. From there, Dom honed his new skills and became a liaison of sorts for any and every criminal activity. After learning of his sons birth, he saved enough money after a couple years and headed to the west coast to start fresh.

Throughout Kellan’s life, he knew that he wanted to help people in some way. He never knew exactly what he wanted to do, just that he wanted to spend his life doing something that would make a difference in someone else’s life. It wasn’t until a friend of his lost their life to depression that he decided he wanted to help others like his friend. He never thought he would be smart enough to become a doctor, but he knew that he wanted to try. His dream school was Yale University, and although he never thought he’d even get accepted, he did. The day he graduated and got his license to be a therapist, he was over the moon. Less than a year ago, he decided to move from his home town in New York City to San Francisco, California. His brother had created his own practice called “Shapiro Health” and told him that he could work with him. At first he wasn’t sure if working with his brother was a good idea, but it was at least a good place to work until after he was completely settled with the move.

Aside from his getting on the San Francisco Giants (his dream team thanks to his neighbor) he would have to say when he became a full patch member of The AD MC(the angels and demons motorcycle club). He remembers the nerves he felt when they asked to see his cut and when they ripped off his prospect patch tossing him new ones. It was one of the best days of his life outside of baseball and his relationship with Niomi.

Born to Jose Cruz and Gabriella Jerez, Diego Jerez lived a modest life. His father was a deadbeat out of his life by the age of thee and his mother was a dancer. Taking jobs close to home as well as pulling night shifts to make sure her only child had the life he was meant to have. Or at least deserved. And he does. Playing baseball for as long as he can remember he’s quick to attract the attention of scouts and before he knows it he’s graduating high school with a full ride to UCLA. His mother couldn’t have been prouder. Wanting to show his now one-year-old sister what following dreams with get you he’s quick to put pressure on himself. Studying games and training became second to breathing. Needing an outlet he asks a friend for advice. It's then he’s introduced to the angels and demons. A motorcycle club. They see his potential too. He has a chip on his shoulder and was talented with a baseball bat. They wanted that. They wanted him. And when he finds himself being drafted by the Boston Red Sox they make him a full patch member. They work out the logistics with other charters and he’s given permission to represent the club despite not being in the state. Three years later he’s moving back to San Francisco after being traded to the Giants - a dream of his. He also finds himself meeting his now wife Niomi through his mother. But monogamy is a struggle and he finds himself cheating regularly. Now at thirty-nine, he’s reaping what he sowed when the consequences of his actions finally come to bite him in the butt.

The first time Zeke stood on stage wielding an axe and wearing a blood soaked robe, he knew that San Francisco was home. The crowd went wild for his songs, portraying the darkest of things that people never imagined and they seemed to vibe with the music. Not many people in California liked his genre of music but these people, this crowd, seemed to get it. They sang along with his screams, his lyrics and watched as he pretended to cut up fellow band members from the groups that were touring with him. San Francisco seemed so alive - and it was the show that debut his band and made him climb the charts. There's nothing like your new home town rooting for you to grow.

Zeke was born in Boston, Massachusetts to a rich, loving family. His life seemed perfect in his hometown. He received good grades at school and was loved by most of the community, despite his eccentric ways. Zeke was always interested in human anatomy and anything scientific - it's why he quickly rose to the top of the brightest students in his academy. One would say that Zeke's life was next-to-near perfect but with the hidden interests he kept hidden away, Zeke would never agree with anyone. His mother and father fully supported his interest in metal music and even egged him on to perform at small bars as he grew older and funded him for the beginning of his career. However, all of that seemed to turn around when Zeke hit 25. His mother and father, laying in bed sound asleep, ended up laying in a pool of blood the next morning when he returned home to visit for the weekend to talk about how well his band was doing and to catch up with his loved ones. The words - Fear - were written on the walls in blood and at the time, Zeke couldn't fathom what that could possibly mean. The birth of her son, her most precious thing, though the labor was intense and not without its challenges. She opted to go the route of a midwife and no epidural. Feeling like her hips were being torn apart for 8 long hours, almost made her cave and request a hospital birth. Before she could make the demand, her midwife announced the head was born. From there, it was all violently quick. Blinded by white pain. Torn in agony. All forgotten - all healed the moment she heard her little one cry and made her heart swell. The bond was permanent.

Her early life -  which started in Oklahoma - overall was unremarkable; busy parents working a farm and an older brother constantly getting into trouble. Watching her brother become the legal burden and thorn in her parents’ side, Maxine became the reliable, little helper. Things only began to fall apart when her mother became ill and started to decline. In her early-twenties, she nursed both of her parents to the grave. Mother from an aggressive cancer and her father from a broken heart and heavy drinking problem he took up to cope with the pain. When it was time to settle the legality of their deaths, she was bitterly blindsided by the will leaving everything to her brother. It drives Maxine to leave home for several years only to come home a single mother and nothing else to show for it. She and her brother constantly clashed, things would get aggressively out of hand but she had nowhere to go. That was until the worst tornado of the decade came blowing through - leaving her brother passed out in the house while she took shelter with Cash in the cellar. Once the payout was given, Maxine was able to relocate anywhere she wanted with her son and she chose San Francisco on a whim and old family secret.

Her most cherished memory was when she was ten years old and got her first pair of professional ballet pointe shoes. She cherished those shoes and she still has them to this day.

Niomi Elise (ńee Fraiser) Jerez was born on June 3, 1992, in New, Orleans to Patrick and Robert Fraiser. The middle child and only girl, making her their little princess, had her dad's wrapped around her finger from the day she was born. Her godmother, Natasha, carried and birthed her and her brothers, James and Scott. Her life was anything but normal or ordinary but she never knew any different. Her family dynamic was part of what made her feel special. She had three people who loved her, kept her safe, and always made it known she was wanted. Niomi had a perfect childhood. The girl excelled in school, sports and ballet. She never struggled for anything. During her teenage years, Niomi became a bit more rebellious, as any teenager does. Hanging out in the graveyards, smoking weed, and drinking, but through it all, she still managed to uphold her perfect behavior in school. Never letting her grades fall or being kicked off the soccer team. Her ballet career was thriving as well as it could’ve been; until the accident. That’s when everything went downhill. She got addicted to painkillers— she managed to get it under control but has relapsed from time to time. She also suffers from PTSD. Present day, Niomi is married and living her best life, even if her best life, isn’t exactly the best thing. She’s trying and she knows that’s all she can do.

Even though it brought up extremely bad thoughts into her head, one of her most cherished memories is finding out that she had a sister. Growing up the only thing she ever wished for was a sibling so being able to have Saige in her life has been a blessing she wasn’t she would ever have. The two are currently attempting to get to know one another and create that bond.

The beginning of Lindseys life was never going to make it into some sort of fairytale book, her mother – only seventeen – had been ‘entertaining’ men in Las Vegas when one of them left more than she bargained for behind. With no money and no actual way to raise the child, she made the selfless decision to put her up for private adoption where parents who were unable to conceive could finally be parents. Lindsey, at only 5 days old, ended up in San Francisco to one of the wealthiest families in the Bay Area. Father being in law while her mother was in real estate (buying…not selling) they had built a little kingdom and all they were missing was their princess. Lindsey was given everything in the world – but was expected to produce the life her parents wanted for her in return. Pressure after pressure, Lindsey felt like she was slipping away from her reality – as if she didn’t belong. At nineteen, she got pregnant right before she took off for New York to be on Broadway. Things took off surprisingly fast for her - she quickly was the lead in plays. Her name in lights wasn't enough - there was an empty spot in her that couldn't be filled. So she turned to drugs and a lot of them. Always chasing the next high, Lindsey began to work less and less - until she wasn't working at all. As her money began to dwindle, Lindsey’s last resort was sleeping with her drug dealer for the products. Two things sent her running back to San Fransisco, the passing of her father and when the pregnancy test showed up with two lines. Lindsey knew she needed to get her life together for the sake of both her children. Upon returning home, she once more was plagued with that feeling that she didn’t belong. Doing a DNA test to figure out more about herself…hoping the health checks could give her some insights to her brain, she was surprised to learn that she was not only not her parents daughter, but she had a sister in San Francisco. After having a big fight with her parents she went off to find herself, luckily finding out she had a knack for photography on her way.

Zara was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to a mentally unfit mother and alocholic, alligator wrangling father. Her childhood was chaotic, and the first half was spent homeschooled. Her mother, an unmedicated schizophrenic, received messages from God that insisted public school and the internet were works of the Devil. Tragedy struck when Zara was twelve-years-old. Her mother ended her life, which was the catalyst for countless changes in the pre-pubescent girl's life. She found herself thrusted into public school, where she wss relentlessly bullied, only to be the subject of her father's abusive behavior when she would get home. She found solace in the Bayou, but eventually, even that became tainted. Zara was only seventeen-years-old when she ultimately fled the state of Louisiana, at which point, she remained nomadic until settling in San Fransisco.
