Amateur Angel, Voice of the Heavens- Interview by María Ahn
Throughout Garden City there are is a plethora of talent. From dancers and models, to teachers and business men and women. Each have their own colours. Today’s article will be about one of these amazing talents. Mr Seungkwan Boo, a vocal teacher, allowed me to interview him and find out more about what he does.
M: So, Mr Boo, may I find out more about your career:
S.Boo: I’m a Vocal Teacher. An amateur one definitely -laughs- and people always told me I was a good singer and would ask me to teach them... so I did
M: Is there anyone you look up to as a vocal coach?
S.Boo: I’m not much of a vocal coach.. but for someone I look up to..? Hmm.. Chen-ssi is really fantastic at singing. Shim Changmin-ssi as well!
M: They are amazing vocalists, and so are you! You have a beautiful voice! Do you have any specific techniques you teach your students?
S.Boo: I try to teach my students to pace themselves. A lot of them want to be able to belt high notes right off the bat, but you need to be able to stabilise your voice and practice octaves.
M: Ah I see. So you have any favourite song you like to teach your students?
S.Boo: For newcomers, I usually just make them go through the scale, which works in line with the song from The Sound Of Music -laughs- Do, a deer. A female deer. Re, a drop of golden sun. I also just let them choose a song they like and help them through it. As for myself, I have far too many favourites to list.
M: Ah, the basic building blocks to singing. You could say it’s the ‘key’ to singing! Ah, please excuse the dad jokes. So, any song really.. that’s a good place to start really. Seeing if they could sing it at a place that’s comfortable and not harmful.
Have you ever taught someone who was a little too ambitious and had a lot of faith in the skills they had?
S.Boo: -laughs- I see what you did there. I like to think all my students are ambitious and have a lot of faith in their skills as well as the skills I’m teaching them. It may not seem like it, but I won’t accept someone who isn’t 100% serious. Just so I don’t get made a fool of. No one wants to be made a fool of because of one person.
M: I understand that. They have to really want it and not slack off. It’s a good reason to not accept someone in my opinion, almost weeds out those who aren’t serious or have the drive. Have you had any success stories with your students at all? Any very famous Alumni we should know about?
S.Boo: A couple of my students have come to me with their dreams of getting into their favourite entertainment agency. A lot of them were accepted after only a few weeks worth of classes. Obviously they already had talent, they just needed to learn how to use it properly and in a healthy way that wasn’t going to destroy their voice or damage their vocal chords.
M: That’s absolutely amazing! I’m very happy for you and your students and wish them all the luck and prosperity in the world.
Is there anyone in the world you would like to teach? For instance any celebrity?
S.Boo: Well I don't usually think about teaching celebrities since they have their own vocal teachers that are probably a lot better than me haha. If any celebrity came to me asking for me to teach them I'd be honored beyond belief.
M: I’m sure there are many who would love for you to teach them
Thank you so much for allowing me to interview you
S.Boo: Thank you for wanting to interview little ole me! I hope at least something I said was useful.
M: It was extremely useful, my readers are going to love reading about you and hopefully you’ll have more students
S.Boo: I hope so too! Thanks for the opportunity

Baby Blues and Midnight Monsters? - Story by María Ahn
In this day and age teenagers and children are exposed to many things in life that can cause stress and trauma. From Because of this, many children grow up with anxiety and worries. Could these children be the same?
I spoke to Downtown Garden City Academy kindergarten teacher and child minder, Miss Kim about her establishment and the students she took care of. As a kindergarten teacher she
Two of her students caught my eye though. To make sure they’re kept safe from harm and paparazzi focus, I have changed their names.
The children, I have named Hannah and Henry, are thick as thieves. Always together no matter what happens. Usually good students during the day, but on a night, they exhibit some rather concerning behaviour.
Miss Kim, while doing her rounds on the night shift, would notice the two children becoming challenging as soon as it hit midnight. Their tired garbles, slowly turning to screams. Their voices harmonising perfectly, one crying after the other.
Nothing much is known about their parents, other than they usually work nights. What could be the cause of this behaviour and will we ever know? Could it be the actions of their parents not being around often? Who knows?

Son the Con? - Story by María Ahn
Today I met up with charismatic Wendy Son, Founder and CEO WenSwan Corporation. You may know this very company for their many products and services they provide through out many stores, such as selling concert merchandise for your favourite bands.
I had asked Miss Son about the company itself, addressing some of rumours on what the company does. Such as illegal dealings with what may be a partner company, GOAT Father Loans.
In reply, Miss Son told our paper that:
“Yes, we do work with GOAT Father Loans, the world we do with them may or may not be illegal, but we do not know for sure. But for sure we do not work along side them with their dealings in their casinos. It is not a part of their business we want to be apart of.”
Now these rumours are just speculation, but we have had updates from GCPD that it is a possibility that it is WenSwan Corporation that are working with GOAT Father Loans on something bigger that we do not know of. No information regarding what this is has been released, and many of the company’s work is hidden in secrecy and under strict lock and key.
Updates on this story will come regularly.
If you or anyone else has information on this story, please get in touch.

The Money Matchmaker - Story by María Ahn.
I recently met up with the head of GOAT Father Loans to ask about his lucrative business and those around him.
As you may have guessed, GOAT Father loans is a money lending business, with the aim of helping you reach your goals and ambitions.
Starting as a young child, winning battles against other children and gaining what they had lost, be it strength or money, he found what he wanted to do in life. With the money he had gained as a child, he started lending it out to other students with the aim to make it back with interest and now it has lead him to making millions!
Aside from the loan business, he also has a few other projects up his sleeve. Matchmaking, casinos, motels and a ‘highly’ sought after gardening business which deals in various drugs and pharmaceuticals.
When asked about the clientele he has, he wouldn’t give any names, though he sees every single client as a VIP guest.
Despite not knowing who the clients are, you can rest assure you are in good hands at GOAT Father Loans.
