Some folks who have been following me for a while or following my main might remember that I lost the only home I have ever lived in in a 1200 acre forest fire the summer of 2017. I understand first hand how this devastation will not leave these people for a very long time. Literally any amount of kindness means everything right now. They are going to be bitter and angry and scared for years once they are no longer in survival mode

I also want you guys to be reminded that the majority of the people fighting these fires are being used as slave labor. They're getting paid less than what's in your cars ashtray and these skills cannot carry to any work they look for once they are free. The kindness of that incarcerated man who put his hand on my shoulder after my house brunt down? How he looked at me and apologized like he could have stopped it somehow? They are human beings and they deserve to be treated as such

And regardless of where or who you are, if you've ever had the 'oh that's not going to happen to me, that sort of thing happens to someone else' line of thinking? You are someone's someone else

Any tips for when trying weed for the first time?

smoke a lot of it and if you dont get high instantly smoke a lot more and if you start feeling scared that means youre about to die

Reading TBoSaS was an eye opening experience for me because for a minute I was like Katniss and Peeta had it so much better than Lucy and these other children who were treated like literal animals- transporting them like livestock and putting them in cages not to mention the very public, dehumanizing parades. But then I was horrified at myself because I couldn’t believe myself. It wasn’t better at all, Katniss and Peeta were brought there for the same exact purpose and putting them in fancy dresses and providing them with expensive amenities doesn’t take it away. It’s still the same horrible, wretched, gruesome tradition, I just thought it was better because it was also wrapped up nicely with a pretty bow which I guess was the whole point.
