Christmas is coming. Let's forget about presents and remember the great help we received from heaven. We can live without a new game. But who can truly live without turning HIS words into peaceful action?

Great Voices At The Festive Concert for Young Artists!
The Richard Wagner Verband International had invited all Bayreuth Stipendiaten 2016 to its festive concert on the 14th of November 2015 in the Musik Akademie in Wiesbaden, Germany. Each one of the artists was able to fascinate the audience from the first moment. Great voices and a outstanding performance made this evening a gem of classical music. On the piano was grandseigneur Juergen Schmidt, who was also the backbone of the evenings' organisation.
Rui Chen from Zhejiang in China, Lisa Wittig from Trier in Germany, Alexandra Fleischmann from Argentinia, Yichao Wang from Hei Long Jiang in China, Audrey Johnson from Urbana in the United States, Angela Shin from In-Cheon in South-Korea, and Isaac Lee from Seoul in South-Korea --
thank you from me and my friends for an evening we will keep in our hearts.

Priority
Do you allow your brain to rule your spirit?
Does your spirit uses his tool, the brain?
You ask, what difference does it make?
Ask your cognition. Ask your spirit.

Obedience test 2015. Yes, we finally did it!

Yes, we did it!
3 days before the obedience test, I doubted if we would pass it at all or with dignity. My dog, Lilou, had started to show all kinds of funny movements which the judge certainly did not have on his evaluation sheet.
One of her favourite quirks occurs when she should be sitting and waiting for me about half a minute, until I come back to her. Being as hyperactive as she is, it seems to be a hard thing for her to do. Therefore, she gives herself some stress relief on her own.
First, she lowers her head to the ground, while rounding her back and bending herself sideways like a bow. And then, in a blink of an eye, she turnes on her back, rubbing it on the grass and dancing with her feet in the air - complete joy and relief on her face.
Sometimes I said to myself: “I wish I had done more practicing with her.” But I learned it was her way of dealing with stress in this situation. Therefore, I decided to talk to her before the test like I would do with a lovable child and to put trust into her abilities.
Believe it or not - it worked! During the test she seemed to fall into her habit three times. But shortly after, she stopped her unwanted movements, listened to me, and tried to do the rest of the task as well as possible.
There were other teams who performed better than we did, but we had proven our ability to work together in a stressfull situation, and passed with a good grade. I was very proud of Lilou, and she fully enjoyed all the attention and goodies she got afterwards.

Driving at 90
Today I saw an awesome ad about a new Mercedes. Besides the great look, I loved the idea of sitting in the back seat with my youngest grandchild in the front seat behind the automatic steering wheel.
This ad gave me a pretty good perspective about myself as a senior citizen in my Nineties. Driving a Mercedes like that seems to be an option I will certainly prefer. And if there is a friendly companion around who would help me in and out the car, this “silver consumer dream” could come true.

Cosy corner
Yesterday was my lucky day. There was a nice guy who sold me his cabinet on Ebay for 40 Euros. It handmade and solid cherry.
The man even brought it up to the fourth floor into my apartment. And because my son gave him a hand getting the piece of furniture out of the car and lifting it up the stairs, he shared half of the money for the delivery with him.
Now I’ve got all the furniture I have dreamed of and couldn’t afford.
I moved the 2-seater, the coffee-table, and the rocking-chair around, placed the TV on the cabinet, covered the chair with cushions and a new checkerd blanket, and placed my favourite books on the table. And I put a figurine of a dog beside the chair.
Then, the best moment of exitement came. I carefully held a cup of tea in my hands while slowly rocking the chair on the soft carpet. My happiness filled the room while raindrops tinkled on the rooftop window.
Finally, I have got my cosy corner!

Apfelduft
Wunderbarer Duft strömt leise in meine Nase.
