chapter one: predictive processing is hallucination management.
your brain does not see the world.
it doesn’t.
it hallucinates it.
i’m serious. the thing you think is “reality” is just a messy, best-guess composite made by a bunch of half-asleep neurons trying to keep you alive.
your brain takes stored expectations (priors) and spits out a hallucination of what it thinks is out there. THEN it checks the incoming sensory data. and if anything’s off? it tweaks the prediction.

so when you look at a room, your brain isn’t “seeing” a chair.
it’s predicting chair. it fills in gaps. it renders light and color and form based on what it already expects.
now apply this to LOA.
when you say “i am already in my dream reality,”
but the environment screams “you’re still here loser,”
your predictive machine starts spiraling.
because there’s conflict.
and your brain does not like conflict.
it wants predictive harmony. so it will do one of two things:
throw out your affirmation as fake
or slowly start adjusting its priors to accommodate the new input.
and here’s where science gets sexy. (bad wording ik)
this whole system?
is called predictive coding.
Andy Clark, Karl Friston, Anil Seth. Look them up. Their work proves that perception itself is a hallucination stabilized by feedback.
In other words:
YOUR ENTIRE SENSE OF REALITY IS A PROGRAMMABLE ILLUSION.
so when you affirm, visualize, script, embody a new identity, you are not faking. you are introducing high-priority noise into the system to create cognitive entropy, which forces the brain to update its hallucination model. that update process is called:

chapter two: cognitive dissonance is how you rewire fate
imagine you’re holding two beliefs:
“i’m in my DR” and “i’m clearly not in my DR.”
that pressure in your chest? that weird nausea? the temptation to give up?
that’s dissonance.
coined by Leon Festinger in the 50s, cognitive dissonance is the mental discomfort caused by conflicting beliefs.
it’s not bad.
it’s literally the mechanism that forces the brain to change.
see, in his classic experiment, people were told to lie about a boring task.
those paid $1 felt worse than those paid $20.
why? because their lie had no justification. so their brain re-aligned their belief—
“maybe it was fun”—
to reduce the internal tension.
you are doing the same thing when you affirm things you “know” aren’t real.
you are creating belief-pressure.
and belief-pressure is fuel.
your resistance is not proof of failure.
it’s proof of friction.
and friction = movement.
so keep lying to your brain.
keep contradicting your senses.
that tension is what makes it work.
chapter three: your nervous system does not care about your manifestation
you are a god, yes.
but you are a god inside a body.
and that body?
is a neurobiological chaos vessel.
it’s constantly scanning for threat.
constantly tracking safety.
constantly interpreting the external world as dangerous or safe based on past trauma, stored somatic memories, hormonal surges, and ancestral programming.
so when you say, “i’m safe now, i’m rich now, i’m loved now,”
but your nervous system is in fight-or-flight because you’re actually dissociating in an abusive household?
your body does not believe you.
and that’s not your fault.
most people don’t understand this. they preach “circumstances don’t matter,”
and they’re right.
they don’t.
but your nervous system isn’t an idea machine. it’s a response machine.
and trauma wires it to expect more of the same.
so your job isn’t just to say different things.
it’s to feel different things.
to regulate. to co-regulate. to reprogram your sense of reality, not just your thoughts.
trauma doesn’t block you from shifting.
but it makes the hallway a little longer.
and you’re walking it anyway.
which makes you a fucking warrior.
chapter four: choosing a new reality is an override command
this is the part most people miss.
your brain updates models based on what it pays attention to.
salience maps. emotional tagging. frequency.
so when you decide—like, full-bodied, tantrum-screaming, foot-stomping “I REJECT THIS”—
you’re not just whining.
you’re issuing an override command.
because belief is a sensory input.
when you decide “this does not affect me,” your predictive model flags that data.
it says: “huh. that’s weird. we’re not reacting to this the way we used to. maybe this input isn’t high-priority anymore.”
and the model shifts.
bit by bit. glitch by glitch.
first it feels fake.
then it feels less fake.
then one day, your system auto-responds with “i live in my DR”
and your heart rate doesn’t spike.
because your body now believes it.
and the hallucination?
it shifts accordingly.
chapter five: yes, this is science. no, you’re not insane

you are not failing just because you haven’t shifted yet.

I manifested my dream life after 1+ year of nonstop trying
First of all, i would like to give some background information. I've been in the subliminal community since 2017-2018, i was LITERALLY in primary school 😭
Manifestation is not a new concept to me, i tried the law of assumption in 2021 but didn't get my desire so i gave up. in december 2024 i got back into it and decided for myself what i wanted my dream life to be.
Here's everything i manifested:
desired face
desired body
desired family
desired grades + having skipped a year
seeing my long distance boyfriend in august
and many MANY other things i can't think of rn LOL
HERE'S WHAT CLICKED
I used to think that i was doing everything right, i persisted, i affirmed, i lived in the end and i NEVER wavered, or so i thought. I thought wavering was strictly contradicting your desires for example "i don't have _", i thought it was anything that implied that you don't have it.
However my version of wavering is what i would refer to as "creating a Plan B" which this post made me realise i was doing. I constantly discussed what i would do IF i didn't get it. For example: let's say i want to manifest a class being cancelled, i would decide the class is cancelled and maybe affirm a little but then i would suddenly proceed to take my notes for the class 'just in case it didn't get cancelled'. I didn't think it was wavering because i was talking hypothetically but that ALSO contradicts the mindset of me having it all.
Eventually i also came across this subliminal. I HIGHLY recommend you look at the benefits, you don't even have to listen. The subliminal talks about the law of obsession and honestly i could try as hard as i can to explain it but i recommend you just look at the document because it's perfectly worded and i would NOT do it justice i fear.
HOW DID I PROCEED ?
With this newfound clarity i decided to continue my journey differently. I would never EVER contradict my desires. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER !!!!
Now this is the part where this post saved my ass. I know for a FACT that if ur reading this ur wondering "well how the hell am i supposed to just stop my negative thoughts overnight" and let me tell you something, you don't. STOP TRYING TO PUSH UR NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AWAY !! IT ONLY MAKES IT WORSE !! And now ur DEFINITELY wondering "well wtf do i do then ??" and this is where i tell you to Just. Let. Them. Pass.
Do not entertain negative thoughts. Don't agree with them and don't disagree with them, they're quite literally ragebaiters 🥀
Ragebait is made for interaction, otherwise it serves no purpose. You should only observe those thoughts and move on, instantly distract yourself.
HOWEVER let's say you absolutely CANNOT get rid of those thoughts then i firmly recommend this post to help you deal with them so you can move on. SUMMARY
NEVER contradict ur desires, do not even dare to think about "well what if i don't get it ??" and stop trying to play it safe.

the Zeigarnik effect:
Ever find yourself in a constant loop of trying to puzzle out a cliffhanger? Or resolve an unfinished conversation? Maybe even that one chore you really need to finish but just.. haven't? Well- congrats! You've experienced the Zeigarnik effect! And guess what? You can use it to lucid dream.
What is it?
The Zeigarnik effect is a well known and very common phenomenon that is accepted by psychological professionals. Basically it's when your brain is able to readily remember an unfinished task while struggling to recall a finished one.
The Zeigarnik effect was first observed and described by a Russian psychologist named Bluma Zeigarnik-who while sitting in a restaurant in Vienna, realized that waiters could remember a complex order up until the point of the bill being paid- once it was paid and finished they had trouble remembering the exact details of the order.
How it can help you go lucid:
just a preface.. this is not my original method and credits go to Daniel Love, you can find him on youtube. However he does not believe in reality shifting and says so in his videos.
Moving on, let's hack our minds.
Step 1. Create an open loop.
I've been using my dream journal and a simple entry of "I realized I was lucid dreaming because... " That's it. Now my brain has something to solve. It's trying to figure it out all night long. "What's going to trigger the lucid dream?" And as soon as you wake up and have the answer- fill it in! Complete the puzzle and reward your mind. Dopamine hit, problem solved.. and now it craves more. Brain training!
And that's really all you need to do- but if you want to take it further here's what I do.

Step 2. Meditate
It's by no means necessary, but I mediate before bed. It helps calm me and prep for when I do go lucid to not panic or get too excited. Plus it's easier for me to fall asleep and let go of any expectations I have.
Step 3. Other lucid dream methods
My personal favorite method is WBTB, I wake up 3-5 hours after I fall asleep, get up for 10-20 minutes with NO SCREENS. I then lay down and affirm that the next time I was up naturally I won't move and will then wake into a lucid dream. After 30 seconds to a minute ish (I don't count) has passed I do a reality check, whichever you feel most comfortable with. If you are indeed still awake don't stress, just reaffirm that the next natural awakening you have you'll repeat the process.
And that's all! Remember it's a skill you're practicing. And if one thing doesn't work for you- another will!
I personally have had great success with this method, two nights and two lucid dreams, I wish you the same!!

*.˗ˏˋ DEILD- The Quickest And Easiest Method To Lucid Dream That I know ´ˎ˗.*
Listennnn, I love the lucid dream method down. It is AND ALWAYS WILL BE my favorite way to shift, apart from the void state.
BUT I know I cannot be the only one struggling to get lucid😩😭 At least I used to struggle before I found DEILD. I found other techniques tedious, having to do constant reality checks during the day felt like a chore and lying completely still in bed for 30+ minutes waiting for my body to fall asleep was quite literally torture to me. IF I could stay awake through it because most times I couldn’t or just rolled over and gave up because nothing was happening and I was très uncomfortable.
I’ve tried mild, SSILD, fild, ALL THE “ILDS” every single one and while they are effective, I’ve finally found the technique that works best for me and takes the least amount of time so I thought I would share, just in case it may help someone else!
With this technique you…..
Go from being awake directly into a lucid dream without falling asleep (this is called a wake initiated lucid dream and in my experience I feel more aware and in control with these vs when I randomly become aware in the middle of my dream. They are also easier to remember if you have poor dream recall. )
Are able to start the lucid dream scene in the privacy of your own room so you don’t have to worry about trying to shift in the middle of distracting dream scenes or dealing with distracting dream characters
You can save a Lucid dream that’s been cut short or even have several lucid dreams in one night using this method
Don’t need to do reality checks during the day if you don’t want to or do any other daytime prep
The whole thing takes 10-30 seconds START TO FINISH!

Set a touchless alarm to wake you up anywhere from 3-6 hours after falling asleep. I like this one! Maybe put it in a playlist with a lucid dreaming subliminal or theta waves set to play after the alarm goes off to boost your chances of becoming Lucid🌙
Go to bed as normal. As I fall asleep I like to imagine myself waking up to the alarm and successfully performing DEILD. Then I imagine myself successfully entering the void from the LD and then successfully waking up in my wr. I loop this sequence until I fall asleep. I do this to help me remember to do the technique the second I wake up, but it is not at all necessary.
Immediately upon waking and hearing the alarm, I try to remember to stay still and not open my eyes. Minimal movement is fine, but we’re trying to convince our body that we’re still asleep! The alarm will shut off on its own.
Wait for what feels like 10 seconds without actually counting (Again, you don’t want to activate your Brain and wake yourself up too much )
After it feels like 10 seconds have gone by, do a reality check like the nose pinch test EVEN IF YOU FEEL WIDE AWAKE and don’t think you could possibly already be back asleep in only 10 seconds. Most of the time you’ll already be in what is called a false awakening-when you think you’re awake in bed but you’re actually dreaming
If you were able to breathe through your closed nose you are now in a lucid dream starting out in your room. You can proceed to shift to your dr in any way you like-some of my go to’s are:
-creating a portal
-entering the void and shifting from there
-entering the astral realm and shifting from there
-waking myself up from the dream but intending to wake up in my dr not my cr
Editors note:
If when you do the nose pinch test, you are still awake, repeat step 6 up to 2 more times. If by this point, you still have not entered a lucid dream, it is best to go back to bed and try again the next time you wake up. This method is very effective but fragile, as it is best performed in that very small hypnopompic window right when you are teetering on the edge of awake and asleep.
Why this method works…
When you wake up from sleep and don’t move or open your eyes, it tricks your body into thinking that you’re still asleep and it puts you back in a dream, even though your mind is actually awake! This is why a touchless alarm is helpful, or you can use natural awakenings.
Troubleshooting the method…
The hardest part about this method is remembering to stay still as soon as you wake up.
You can set the intention to remember to do so before bed
You can also use prospective memory training during the day (every time you look in a mirror/ drink something/ plug in your phone/ enter a different room etc you can affirm “the next time I wake up I will immediately remember to perform DEILD” )
And if you move by mistake or have to use an alarm that needs manually turned off, all is not necessarily lost. it’s still worth trying anyway as long as you think you’ll be able to fall back asleep! Just wait 30 seconds instead of 10 before doing a reality check and consider using an anchor to help keep you focused and awake (could be focusing on the sound of the subliminal if you made a playlist, or the sound of a fan etc)
TLDR OF THE TECHNIQUE:
Wake up either naturally or to a touch-less alarm. If you must use a manual alarm, keep movement minimal as to not activate your brain too much.
Lie still with your eyes closed and keep a blank mind for 10-30 seconds
Do a reality check to see if you are lucid dreaming

Oh no, I changed my entire aesthetic- anyways.
Manifesting is supposed to be fun.
fight me.
but don't.
Glad we got that covered. SO manifesting, it's fun, it's useful, it's natural. I've been manifesting since I was in kindergarten or preschool, before I even knew it was a THING. And I was (am) damn good at it. I remember winning things in class all the time, random raffles, competitions, I won a bike when I was a year old from mcdonald's and now I have a pic of me being held by ronald mcdonald.. but that's not the point sorry.
So if a kindergartner can manifest, you can. Make it fun! Believe you deserve it. I use it for everything, i've used it for getting rare stuff in games, for useful stuff. five minutes ago I used it.. actually I'll write that experience out.
A Shifters Nightmare:
(a shortish story)
This morning after I got home from work, I was really really tired and I didn’t put my earbud away like I usually do. I left it in my jeans pocket and totally forgot about it. Fast forward to tonight: my room’s a disaster because I’m in the middle of switching dressers (adhd nightmare) None of my clothes have a home right now, so they’re piled on my desk chair like a massive mountain.
Earlier, I needed to sit in that chair, so I moved the whole pile of clothes onto my bed. The jeans (with the earbud in the pocket) came along for the ride. At some point during all this, the earbud must’ve fallen out.
Now here’s the kicker: I leave for a week long trip tomorrow so i'm doing my lil last minute checks n all.. and I open my earbud case to ONE earbud- crap.
But instead of freaking out, I took a breath and thought: Nope. I’m not doing this. The earbud will find me. I literally said out loud, “I don’t need to find it. It’ll find me.” yippee problem solved.
So I start the great clothing migration back from the bed to the chair (yes, I know.. chaos my new dresser arrived today and I gotta put it together). And what do I see? Sitting there, right out in the open like it had been waiting for me the whole time? My lost earbud. The clothes just lifted around it perfectly, like they knew to reveal it. Mind you i'm talking clothes and fitted sheets (I have no excuse for those- they're home is still existing 😔)
Moral of the story: Manifesting works, it's useful, it's as simple as you make it and I have my earbuds for my trip- hooray!!

Shifting to a book series is my favorite honestly, especially one that has bad world building, ik that might sound counterintuitive but it's true for me- I love scripting how everything works (ex fanfic writer 💪). But then at the same time I see peoples theories and i'm like ???? ew no they'd NEVER do that wtf- WORSE when the author writes something so out of character for that person 😭

One thing I LOVE about my dr is that the city I live in is BUILT for wings, the GEC (Guild of Equitable Craft) make sure that architecture is enjoyable for everyone, not just winged fae, but also the aquatic, 'magic'-bodied fae (think wraith or shadow walkers) and those with horns or antlers- you don't realize how different something as simple as a couch needs to be to be comfortable!🪼
Also it means all the building have awesome 🌀balconies, arched doors and beautiful high ceilings...🤭
low hanging chandeliers are a no-go tho 😔

i'm not being funny. you've manifested many times and just didn't even realize bcs you thought it was "luck" or "coincidence" ???? no babe that was YOU. that was manifestation. you've BEEN powerful.
like for example :
maybe you were thinking about someone one time and then they texted you out of nowhere. or maybe you just said "watch this happen" and it happened. LIKE HELLO. you didn't need to write it 55 times or light a candle… you just thought it and it happened. that's manifestation.
maybe you've ever had those days where you just felt like something was gonna happen. like "ugh today's gonna be a mess" and it was ???? or "i feel like something good's coming" and then it literally did. that wasn't intuition. that was YOU.
and i have no idea why nobody is discussing this bcs this shows you don't have to be "perfect" or "high vibe" or have some 3 hour morning routine set up to manifest.
like you've been affirming internally this entire time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
– “ugh nothing ever works out for me”
– “this is gonna be a good day”
– “i’m probs not gonna get picked”
– “i always find parking spots”
and it's honestly interesting to see bcs now people get into LOA and they're suddenly spiraling like "how do i manifest?? what if i'm doing it wrong??"
LIKE BABE. YOU MOST LIKELY ALREADY HAVE. MULTIPLE TIMES. all that's different now is you're doing it intentionally.

Reality Shifting has saved me from YEARS of pain. 💙🪼

For my entire life I have been a chronic people pleaser. CHRONIC. I would suffer silently just to not be a bother, even if people offered, I saw my worth based how little I had to inconvenience others. I gave my heart and time to those who didn’t deserve it, hoping they’d finally treat me like I mattered.
⤷ Enter, reality shifting🌀
In 2021 I found shifting, via tiktok like so many. But I didn't keep reading information before trying (ADHD + lockdown vibes) I just saw someone say "imagine where you want to wake up" so I did, and I shifted- now I freaked out and was only there for about 5-10 seconds. Anyways, those seconds changed my life.
Through shifting, I found worlds where I am seen. Where my magic, my softness, and strength are celebrated. Where love is deep, true, and safe. And slowly, I realized:
🌊 I don't have to settle. Ever.
Fast forward a few years, a month ago. I got engaged to someone I truly loved, I'd stopped shifting altogether because I was happy in this reality. Well, after engagement he felt comfortable enough to let his true colors shine through after nearly 4 years of dating. And I thank everything in the Universe that he felt that way.
Because I left. I walked away with zero regrets, sadness yes of course, I still am sad. But not for my future, my future is beautiful.
So now i'm back on my shifting journey. Forever grateful because it showed me that I am not too much, I'm not ASKING for too much. It's out there, it can be anywhere. But I don't need to settle for what's directly in front of me.
So yeah shifting didn’t just give me an escape back then, It gave me clarity. It saved me from years more of settling for less, because now I know I’m worthy of anything and everything I dream of, and I won’t shrink for anyone again. 🌀🪼

you don’t need to be constantly excited of shifting. you don’t have to be obsessed over your dr in order to shift and you don’t have to be ‘connected' with your dr self or your dr to shift. you can even shift by not thinking about you dr !!!! just because you can it doesn’t mean you have
