I don't really have a following or anything but I wanna spotlight some black youtubers I've been watching lately cause I want them to get more attention and it is licherally black history month so here we go:

Doreimani

She makes great commentary and essay videos about anime with a focus on magical girls, her style is rlly informative and cozy. I especially love her video on the prop design in magical girl anime and how when those props become toys they often age and decay in weird ways.

Angel Manson

They make video essays about animation, I personally get annoyed with youtubers who critique animation without having any real knowledge of how animating actually works but Angel is really informed and an artist themselves and the commentary they provide as a queer black artist is really engaging. I really enjoyed their video on the sassy black woman trope as it appears in cartoons.

F. D Signifier

His channel has really blown up recently which is awesome, he makes incredibly well-researched video essays about all kinds of stuff but largely focused on the various ways racism manifests in media trends and real world fascism. I highly recommend his video on the WWE's fucked up treatment of black talent.

amandamaryanna

She covers a ton of topics, mostly about social media and culture trends. She's also a standup, admittedly I haven't watched her stuff because I just hate youtube shorts like as a concept so much but I do love her videos. A personal fav for me is her video on ugly disney channel fashion.

Dudes healthcare is so fake. My ADHD meds are $940 without insurance. But they gave me a website of "coupons" which straight up looks like a scam website, and I got it today for $60! Just a coupon from a random website and it was $900 cheaper. America, I am confusion!! America explain!!
