Day 1 of asking the silmarillion fandom (the feanorian part of it especially) to call Feanaro by his Quenya name

1. This is the most direct and correct way to oppose to Thingol’s ban of Quenya and opposing the ban is opposing to cultural erasure. It’s also what Feanaro would have wanted.

2. Feanaro is only one more letter than Feanor, you don’t even have to put the accents if you don’t feel like it. Come on! It’s not that hard

3. Feanaro probably never had a reason (canonically) to Sindarize his name since the Quenya version is close enough the Sindarized one and he died too young. By calling him Feanaro you will also be reminding everyone else that he died before the rising of the Sun.

hello igts me 🪴 anon. i dont know if you remember me but im sorry for dying. i had a bit of a crisis or something idk and refused to do anything on tumblr for a few months. sory

but hi since i honestly have no idea what else t9 say, ill tell you a few of the things that have happened in my discord server because i find them funny.

first of all we are working on getting more people interested in the silmarillion. currentl7 there's this guy we just let join the server and we all think he's pretty cool. and as replacements for actual names we have curveball curufin, eol the lotion brand (i dont actually know about this one's origin), maestoso maedhros,

and 1812 overture cannons

for maglor.

one of the members of the server thought another member was a pilot, someone sent a picture of airplane with borzoi head on it and we got a chain of "huan plane"

we call the game fate of the empress "twinkol game" (comes from thingol and twink being mixed)

i started a poll on who hates finrod and everyone answered YES except ONE OF OUR MEMBERS. execution date: tomorrow

theres more but this is it for now i have to do other things

book from the sky (tianshu) xu bing, 1989-91

I was so excited to see a copy of this in real life bc it's something I studied in art history. this is a book that was typeset and printed by hand using wooden blocks but every one of the characters was invented for the sake of the piece and does not correspond to any word in the Chinese language

c+c new appreciator here. i'm new to the fandom via silvergifting and was trying to learn more about celebrimbor and stumbled on your blog. you are a delight and i feel like i have expanded knowledge about celebrimbor and curufin's allies now. knowing tyelp'es complicated relatoinships and that he has peopole understanding the complexitiies that celebrimbor faces trying to show curufin his apppreciation.... is good.... the feanorians aren't going anywwhere because they care each other!!! esp curufin he is as full of love as a croissant is full of butter
