Since Senbura is shutting down in December, I don't know if I will come back to this. So regretfully, I'm going to get away from this for an indefinite time.

I'm not going to delete this blog. I will leave all of these things here and on AO3. These are the fics and idea I wrote and came up. I won't erase them if I have a choice.

I might come back. Or I might not. I don't know. But I will miss it. You can't spend a year with something without getting attached.

I miss the old home screen. I used to just log in for a bit for encouragements and all but now I have to click on the round button to get to that room.

That doesn't mean that I don't like the updates. Those are brilliant and the room decorations are lovely (and maybe I'll share my room one day) but there's just this sense of nostalgia.

To sum up, there were changes in Senbura but I welcome those. And I'm really thankful for the staffs and al of those involved in this.

I have not forgotten this and by far, this whole thing is like one of the best ideas I have ever had. Because it's fun and really, MC needs a friend who has a life of their own but still helps MC along the way.

Btw, I named the maid but it's midnight and the name is in my notebook. And I'm not really the best when it comes to remembering names and faces.

I swear I haven't abandoned this blog. Just a bit busy with school + zine (for another fandom) + Big Bang (for the same fandom as the zine) abd just basically holding myself back to focus on things

Remember when I said something about MC having friends? Well my brain decided to come up with a scenario or two at midnight.

Warning: OC x OC, character deaths, girl x girl.

Don’t like, don’t read. Or you can take a hike, far away from here.

So in this scenario, MC stays with Uesugi. And unlike what happened during Uesugi Main story, MC befriends a girl who works as a maid in the castle.

So this girl, stands up for her (since the other guys in that route are a**holes) and they become friends, almost like best friends as they tell each other almost everything.

And this girl then falls for another maid. They get along really well and that girl gushes to MC about her crush (MC totally ships it, btw)

So fast forward to when MC was brought to Takeda’s castle.

Oh, look who is there? Her friend’s crush.

Turns out, the maid her friend fell for is a kunoichi working for Takeda, diguising as a maid in Uesugi’s castle to gather information.

So MC is stuck since on one hand, that girl is a threat. On the other hand, her friend likes, or even loves that girl.

When MC gets back, she actually sits down with her friend and tells her about what she learned. Of course her friend is heart-broken since they are basically enemies.

If you think love is going to win over duty, try again.

That girl reports to the generals and basically cut all ties with the kunoichi. And she is watched carefully for a while since it is obvious that she had connection for one of their enemies but she gets off the hook soon enough.

And, the kunoichi. She absolutely adores that maid. Although she keeps telling herself that she is posing as that girl’s crush to gather intel.

Since her cover is blown, she switches out and another takes her place. However, she still sneaks into Uesugi’s land to secretly check on her crush (she denies it but no one believes her)

MC, somehow, despite being in a storm of drama and all, still find the time to be there for her friend, helping her nurse her broken heart.

Things would have stayed that way if Uesugi and Takeda did not team up.

And so the maid and the kunoichi meet. Awkwardly (Totally by accident, no one sets them up)

They try to reconcile but there is not enough time and the kunoichi has to set out again, for mission but they promise to talk later, when the war ends.

And the kunoichi never comes back, having been found and offed by the enemies.

The maid waits and waits, still believing her beloved is still alive. She sticks close to MC whenever she can (because she is in love with an enemy and the a**holes give her sh*t for that) and they pray together, for everyone to return unharmed.

If Senbura sticks to history, which is, well, not exactly unthinkable, despite the differences, then the Takeda falls, Kenshin falls and the Otate no Ran happens.

Sasuke, being a childhood friend of the kunoichi, comes to the maid with the offer of a new life, far away from the blood and strife. MC wholeheartedly approves and persuades her friend to let Sasuke takes her away.

She hesitates because MC, what about you?

But MC insists that she wants to stick to the Uesugi until the bitter end and convinces her friend to leave.

The maid, now ex-maid follows Sasuke to his hidden village and is given a place to live in.

That place was the kunoichi’s old home. And there is a letter adressed to her, which Sasuke gives her after they reach the village.

In the letter, the kunoichi apologizes for the deception and explains things, especially abot Sasuke since the maid is really worried and mystified when he just showed up and offered her a new life.

Turns out, they were childhood friends and the kunoichi called in a favor and Sasuke promised to take care of the maid should anything happen to the kunoichi.

The kunoichi also pulled some strings so that the maid can move into their village in case someone targets her (since being friends with MC is dangerous as every army wants her)

Finally, after taking a few days to process and calm down, that girl decides to stay and learn medicine to help people. She is mad that the kunoichi keeps things from her but understands the position the other was in.

She still keeps in touch with MC via letters and occasionally sends medicine to the Uesugi.

She lives to an old age, having no children related to her by blood but instead, she has lots of children who she saved during the years, and later, grandchildren as well.

She never knows the exact relationship between her and the kunoichi since it is confusing. Were they enemies? Or friends? Or more? But the thing she knows is that she loves her.

Notes

The kunoichi here comes from a branch of a small clan in Koga. She is a member of the Mitsumono, a group of spies who work for Shingen. Check up on the Mitsumono and Mochizuki Chiyome if you wanted more info.

Uesugi has a ninja force called Nokizaru as well and such and at first I planned to have the maid be a member of the Nokizaru in disguise, sussing out spies but plans changed ;))

Shingen died of unknown cause during his campaign (don’t remember what it was but if you want to know, Google is your best friend). A few years after his death, the Takeda lost the Battle of Nagashino, which was kind of like the battle that signaled the end of the Takeda.

The Otate no Ran was kinda like a civil war between Kenshin’s adopted sons, Kagetora and Kagekatsu. Please use Google to find out more because it’s midnight here and I don’t have enough energy left.

I’m not a pro when it comes to history stuffs so I might get it wrong. That is why Google (sometimes) might be your best friend. I just know enough to draw up a plot like this, I think.

As stated before, if you cannot handle girls x girls, please take a hike. And maybe do not come back.

The girls still have not have official names but I call the kunoichi Yuki, written in hiragana, meaning either snow or happiness. The maid, though. I am still thinking about which name to give her.

It took me some time to remember what I drew but it's a nice surprise. I write so much that I forget I draw too sometimes. Though I haven't been drawing much lately as I was busy with a zine & Big Bang for another fandom.

The second part of the Main Story in Senbura is wild.

I hope we get more Nobuharu content in Main Story.

Like, he's sweet and mature and will probably be a formidable competitor in the battle for MC's heart. Heck, he could give Shingen (the closest to the goal a.k.a MC's heart) and Masanobu (would be the closest to winning if not for Shingen) a run for their money.

I was surprised since I thought my "One year with SNB" was longer but I might have accidentally deleted it or something since it has happened before so yeah, it was just bad luck.

It's a good card. Kagekatsu and the MC were so cute! They played around with karuta, I guess and somehow ended up talking about one of the poems in the Hyakunin Isshu (Collection of 100 poems, featured on karuta cards)

I did some researched and honestly, I was afraid that I might have understand it incorrectly but then I remembered that it was a poem and the possibilities are endless.

And I don't know if anyone notice but this set of cards were inspiredby the Hyakunin Isshu or something.

Like honestly, most of the cards have names corresponding with one of the 100 poems, excluding Kenshin's, maybe? I mean, I checked and 4/5 were begining of the poems in the collection.

I suck at literature and it's not like I can uderstand everything in an poem. A side effect of sucking at literature but sure, I can't do anything about that.

A year with SNB

It has been more than a year since I started playing SNB and looking back, there are just so many things I want to say.

Sometimes I can't believe SNB is so generous. Voiced Main Story, voiced cards (UR, SR and R) (R and SR cards until a certain point were voiced), free gems, items and such...

I mean, there are always possibilities of screwing up and ending up penniless in-game but as long as one can reign themselves in, it is a great way to get used to drawing up plans and schedules and stick to them.

I have seen people dismissing SNB as another boring otome game with a personality-less MC and it saddens me but what can I do. It is their opinion and choice.

I came to SNB because of V.As, aesthetics and all but I had never imagined that I would still be here a year later. Out of the 5 games I play, SNB is the second oldest in terms of the times I spent on it. And it surprised me. Like it is in Japanese and I only know very basic words. But I am still here today.

I guess it was the plot that made me stay. I have trouble with learning a new language without assistance from other people but SNB encourages me to take a risk. I am still not fluent but I can now grasp the main concept of a story or chapter and I thank this game for pushing me out of my comfort zone.

I just realized that I haven't written any drabble. I was so occupied with that fic (the name is too long :(( ) and the events (balancing 5 games) and things irl.

So I'm officially back. Still juggling fics for 2 fandoms but things are less messy. (that may change in like 2 days but whatever)

After 4 ×10 pulls, Kagekatsu appeared!

I missed his Halloween card and the one where he's reading a book so basically, getting this after 4 pulls was like a miracle.

Idea 2: A little bit like Idea 1 but instead of nice neighbor, this time, MC ended up with that neighbor who she was sure hated her guts a.k.a the tsundere ones. Somehow they were almost never apart (Everyone thought there was something between them :P)

Possible candidates - Nagahide, Mitsunari, Kanetsugu, Masakage, Masamune.

Idea 1: Modern AU where MC’s friends set her up on a blind date and she just ended up with that really kind neighbor who lived near her house and it’s awkward af but they keep going out together because a) MC’s friends were trying to help her go out and maybe get used to stuffs like that b) same with her neighbor and c) they were pretty bored so why not?

As for the neighbor, I’ve gone through a few possibilities - Mitsuhide, Masatoyo, Kanbee, Kojuurou, Takamoto, Yukimura.

Kagemochi, like Masanobu, has his day job as Kenshin's assistant and his other job is a bartender (that UR card) to gather info because lips are easily loosened after a few drinks. Of course he lives with Kenshin and co. since they (Keshin, Kageie & him) are friends who grew up together and when Kenshin's sister picked up Kanetsugu and Kenshin became responsible for those two after his sister's death, they moved in together to cut down the expenses and lend him a hand in looking after the kids.

Kageie cooks for the kindergarten Masatoyo works at before entering the cooking competition. Though he did work as Kenshin's assistant for a time before Kagemochi took over. Currently devoting himself to cooking so that no kid under his watch would go hungry.

Nobuharu is the security for the kindergarten and the kids love him after seeing how sweet he really is. Brings home-cooked food for the kids, which he cooks himself.

Masakage works as a kendo instructor. He is small af but his dedication to teaching the kids is really something else. Got teased by the kids a lot. Nothing ill-spirited though. Just fooling around, those kinds of things.

Ranmaru is picked up by Nobunaga when he was young and basically became his adopted siblings. Currently in an internship at Nobunaga's company (the name will be figured out later). Every co-workers love him because he is too cute and sweet. Is a mischevious kid but hides that behind his politeness and kindness.

I don’t know why but somehow, I can just imagine Masatoyo as a kindergarten teacher while Masanobu works a journalist for extra income while his day job is something akin to Shingen’s assistant.

And the Date Trio run small coffee shop which is famous for its pastries and a certain waiter who might or might not have been called one of the four ikemen in the area (the really gentle guys who had a dark side that they usually don’t show, if you know what I mean =￣ω￣= )

And Mitsunari as a librarian wih his friends, Kanbee and Hanbee frequently accompanying him to his workplace to pick up some books while Katsuie applies for a cooking show with Kageie, Nobuharu as his competitors (Masamune does not apply because he has better things to do a.k.a trying to beat Sanada’s coffee shop and dominating the field as the best place for coffee)

Also, Kanetsugu is an up-and-coming fashion designer. He maybe all tsun and no dere but Kagekatsu knows and usually ends up as his model.

I might have to add an extra part. Like a route divergence. A fanfic of a fanfic, kinda like that. Or just an after story about what happened to the MC after chapter 3.

That might or might not happen in the future but I have to finish chapter 4 first.

I worked on this for more than a month (toying with the idea and actually writing it down) amd I am honestly surprised to see how nice it turned out to be.

I have only finished the first chapter and halfway done the second but I am eager to the day when this is completed.

It is written in the Second POV. It has been a long time and I think it would be really fun to do so.

Well, I tagged this as Masanobu x MC but Masanobu only appears in chapter 2, which I’m currently working on.
