DM: After the fighter grabs the bard’s hand and yanks her free, you realize that she was temporarily trapped in a gelatinous cube that’s so transparent you didn’t see it. 

Wizard: Can I roll nature to learn about the cube?

DM: Go for it. 

Wizard: *rolls meh*

DM: You know this is a gelatinous cube, it is very hungry, and it has no eyes to see you through since it uses blindsight. 

Me, The Bard, annoyed that I just walking into a gelatinous cube: Okay. What would you say if I tried to… Intentionally play my violin really badly to mess with it’s blindsight?

DM: *Just… Freezes for a couple seconds.* Okay???????

Me, The Bard: *just starts sawing away at my violin like I’m angry at it.*

DM, confused and distressed: I guess it’s blind for this round?!??!?

“Hyper-advanced alien can use our technology because obviously it’s basic to them” is so annoying. Like sure, you grew up around holo-screens, but are you telling me you understand every operating system you come across? You understand all the culturally-specific symbols? You can read the language?

A technologically-advanced alien will have as much luck using an iPhone on the first try as I would have trying to use mid-90s computer from China. Like yeah I know how to use more advanced tech, but I don’t know Chinese and I probably can’t guess the various OS.

Thanks to a pair of a bionic gloves, this 80-year-old classical pianist can finally play the piano again. The maestro, João Carlos Martins, had lost dexterity in his hands due to aging and health complications. His face at being able to play piano again says it all. 🎶
