PraHAHA
After a GRIM journey, finally we arrived in chilly Prague (the type of weather, we found, to persist throughout the entirety of our stay.) After quite literally dropping our bags off at our hostel, situated in the centre of Prague, we explored the city: the centre, shops, clock and Hamleys. We relived our childhoods on the snake slide...
Today was a chilled one in preparation for our first night out of the hols - WHOO! After a charming little dinner (look at my fit friends...) and a trip to Lidl, we were well prepared for a fab night with our £4 vodka and mixer from Lidl. YAS.
The club we visited was 5 stories with different themes floors: pop, r&b, oldies, dance and an oxygen bar. Safe to say we made a lot of friends...only 80% of which were creepers so girls did good. We boogied our night away before wandering home fueled by pizzas (me a magnum) and left over vodka.
DAY 2: hangover. We were up for 8am for breakfast (not going to miss out on free food despite the pain) fueling our busy busy day complete with hikes and pretty views. By the end of the day, we were shattered ... and yes, I slept in McDonald's. We walked up to the viewing tower, castle, John Lennon wall and back home.
At the end of the day we were left with the pressing question of where to go for cocktails. Unfortunately, we met a sweet little Starbucks instead and our drinks kept us going before our pizzas and 11:58pm train.
Prague in 36 hours...done.
Czech us out.

AmsterDAMN
As four Geordie lasses heading into Amsterdam we were met with an abundance of options - apparently it is socially acceptable to get tanked at 11am here. Surprisingly, we decided to hold off the alcohol go to the sex museum, which, despite being full of dicks (literally...hehe), made for a really entertaining morning.
We ventured across town to find a free toilet, happily stumbling across the Rijks museum to killing two birds with one stone. It is a modern art museum however, so naturally we were more interested in the water fountain and maze in the grounds. We journeyed on in true tourist fashion to the I Amsterdam sign and soaked up some rays.
Soon night time approached and we agreed that, as geordies/boderline alcos, it would be rude not to have a drink. We braved the ice bar appropriately dressed of course, some in sandles and bare legs, where we were met with a free cocktail and ice shot inside.
Day 1 ended with a cheeky space cake by the canal, watching as the reflections of the multicoloured buildings danced on the water's surface.
At 10:20am we went to Anne Frank's House, a moving experience that proved the strength of a young girl and her ink far surpassed Hitler and his Nazi regime. She spoke of hope and courage and how together they could conquer fear. There was a lull of silence in the house, although the atmosphere wasn't of sombrerity but of awe and respect for the Frank family, and how they acted as a microcosm for so many Jews in Nazi Germany.
The experience, however, was rather tiring so we found a brunch of pancakes (yaass, smashing stereotypes again) to be highly appropriate.
After our newly found glucose source we cycled around Vondelpark, a large green space scattered with rivers and yogis meditating. A sense of tranquility amongst the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam.
So Dam, we thank you...your quirks, charm and forward thinking has been welcoming and highly refreshing. Your space cakes banging and your canals and flat paths so relaxing.
A 10/10.
I'll see you soon ❤
