I’m a cis man and before a few nights ago I hadn’t really had any symptoms of dysphoria or otherwise wanting to be a girl but I had a dream a few nights ago that I lived basically an entire lifetime as a trans woman and I had other trans woman friends and we loved each other and celebrated each other and did each others hair and all different kinds of stuff and I never felt closer to a group of people as I did to them. And when I woke up and realized that all my friends weren’t real and that I was just a regular guy again I was weirdly devastated. I haven’t been able to shake the feeling for days. Again I really didn’t ever even think about the possibility of being a girl before this dream. Idk do you think this is something I should just wait out or should I explore this possibility at all? I don’t want actual trans women to think that im doing this on some sort of impulsive whim and mocking their struggles, y’know ?

i say try it out! put on a dress ask for she/her pronouns!! if it doesn't feel right you'll have learned something about yourself and made some new friends, if it does feel right, you'll have learned something even bigger about yourself!

not every trans girl Always Knew- a lot did, but a lot of us went through adolescence quite certain we were boys until we weren't. and beyond that, sometimes people change! if you decide that your future is woman and your past really was man, that's really chill and something that happens!
