When you’re in a new relationship, you may want to spend an evening at the swankiest restaurant in town just to make every moment special.
https://gipstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Romantic-Ideas-_-How-to-Have-a-Romantic-Dinner.mp4
And when you’re in an older romance, you may want to try every new restaurant together to keep the relationship exciting and new. But no matter how you decide to enjoy a dinner date or what your intentions are, you need to understand what it takes to make a dinner date perfect. Most of us have forgotten what a dinner date is all about these days. It isn’t just about fancy restaurants or showing off to each other. There’s a lot more to a dinner date than just splurging money.
A dinner date is all about love.
It’s about enjoying each other’s company and basking in the warm glow of love on a pleasant night.
A romantic dinner date can be fun, exotic, adventurous, cheap or even expensive, but what really matters in a successful dinner date is how well both of you connect with each other, and how much fun the night was.
If you can have a memorable and romantic night with each other, then you’ve definitely succeeded in planning a perfect dinner date.
Here are 13 romantic dinner date ideas that are unique and fun, and most definitely memorable and romantic.
If you’re bored of the regular routine, try these date ideas. You may just end up having a lot of fun with each other.
#1 A home cooked meal. If you’re a good chef, show off your culinary skills by inviting your date over for dinner at home. This isn’t a good option for a first date because the setting can be rather personal and may lead to the bedroom eventually, but for any other date, it gives you a chance to let your date know how special they are to you.
If you don’t have your own recipes, follow a cookbook and prepare something your date will enjoy. This is a simple and easy date, and depending on your culinary skills, you can make a memorable impression too.
African-American couple dining out. They are toasting with glasses of white wine and smiling. Horizontal shot. ** Note: Slight blurriness, best at smaller sizes
#2 A long drive and dinner. Someone once said that the journey is far more important than the destination. If both of you have some time on your hands, head out early in the evening to a great place an hour or so away from your area code. Enjoy the views, have wonderful conversations along the way, and you’ll be able to create a memory that’ll be unique and gossip-worthy. And just a word, this can be a wonderful lunch date idea too.
#3 Candlelight dinner in the backyard. You can have dinner at a restaurant and sit down for dessert together in your backyard, or you can have food delivered home and go the whole nine yards. Light candles in your backyard and place a few candles on a small cozy table where both of you can sit down close, share food or dessert and have a long conversation about the new romance.
#4 A standup comedy show and dinner. If you’re not too great with your conversation skills or feel nervous, this may be an acceptable first date option *just as long as you do speak and both of you get to know each other*.
But for any other date too, a standup comedy dinner date can give both of you a lot of laughs and a good time. Just make sure you wrap the date up by going somewhere cozy for dessert so you don’t forget the romance in all that fun.
#5 Karaoke nights. This one is just perfect to create a completely fun and memorable date together. Head out to a karaoke bar, watch several other bad singers bray out of tune, laugh at them together, have lots of drinks, have dinner, join the list of bad singers by singing at the top of your voice, and don’t forget to serenade your lover while you’re at it. It’ll definitely leave both of you with a lot of hilarious memories that’ll only bring both of you closer.
#6 Live music. Live music can be a perfect accompaniment for a romantic dinner. Pick a restaurant with live jazz or soulful blues, or any kind of music that makes both of you feel relaxed and sexy at the same time. With the buzz of a few drinks in the air, both of you will feel really cozy and romantic in the warm, soft glow of the dim lights and the smooth music resonating around you.
#7 Cook your own food restaurants. These restaurants aren’t the first choice for lazy diners, but for a romantic date? Well, this can be just perfect! You get to cook for each other, have loads of laughs while preparing the food, and enjoy a wonderful unique experience that can easily stretch for a few hours without the worry of date conversations that may leave one of you feeling awkward. This can be a perfect date to bond and interact without any difficulties, however shy you may be.
#8 Take a pizza and go somewhere nice. This is as simple as it gets. No fuss, no problems, and all memories. Dress up in regular casuals, pick up a pizza along the way and head out to a romantic place, be it a cliff or a calm street with a view of the playgrounds.
Sometimes, even just sitting in a park with a pizza and a drink and watching others pass by can make everything around both of you seem so idyllic and blissful.
#9 Unconventional dinner. Feeling adventurous? Meet up for some good street food. Walk down a food street and eat anything that catches your fancy. It’s junk, well most of it, and that’s what makes it so much fun! It doesn’t matter if it’s a food truck, a tiny burger joint on the way, or even a cart on the street. But make sure both of you end the date with several scoops of ice cream before heading back home. A heavy dessert always makes the experience so much fun!
#10 Go restaurant hopping. Pick a street with a lot of restaurants next to each other. Don’t have your dinner at just one place, instead go restaurant hopping by having one course in each restaurant. It sounds silly, but you’ll never know just how much fun you can have when you walk from one cuisine to another in a matter of minutes. A drink or two will make the whole think a lot funnier too!
#11 Try something new together. There’s always a new cuisine to try all the time. If both of you haven’t tried a particular cuisine yet, take a chance on something together. The more exotic it sounds, the better the dinner date experience, just don’t forget that.
#12 Order food home and watch a movie. This is calm and simple. Order food home, kick your shoes off, sink into the couch and watch a movie at home. A simple romantic comedy with an even simpler plot work best, because it gives both of you time to talk in between without missing any plot points. Enjoy the food, watch the movie and talk about something now and then. It’s safe, easy and very comfortable.
#13 Romantic restaurants. This is a romantic dinner date idea at its very best. It’s very predictable, but also memorable if you pick the perfect restaurant with the perfect ambience. Couple restaurants come with all the works these days, be it mariachis, candlelight or mood music. If you want to sit back with your date, enjoy fine food and drinks and indulge in a footsie under the table, this is the place to be!

Sometimes I don’t know what love is. Sure, I’ve been in love before. I understand the way it changes a person, how it makes someone feel, how two people become intertwined and grow together, how powerful and messy and beautiful it is.
As a writer, I’m constantly trying to define love, even though I know it’s something I can’t really define. But do I really know what it is? Is there a concrete, same-every-time-you-ask answer to the question ‘What is love?’ Honestly, I don’t know.
https://gipstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/This-is-the-Meaning-of-Real-Love-_-Mother-Teresa.mp4
But what I do know is that when I asked one of my good friends for the answer, right before he proposed to my best friend/his girlfriend of almost six years, he said, simply, “Love is giving 100% and expecting 0%.”
And as he got down on one knee in a pre-planned, beautiful, sunset-on-the-cliffs moment to ask for her hand; as she started crying and nodding her head, the sun beautiful and brilliant behind the clouds; as I teared up, snapping photos of the moment; as others cheered to their new life of happiness and love—I realized he had to be right.
“Love is about giving 100% and expecting 0%.”
See, the problem with the way we love today is that we expect. We’re scared to let people in, so we don’t, at least not fully—we hang back, we withdraw, we withhold parts of ourselves. We don’t go all in, yet we expect our partners, significant others, dates, potential interests, etc. to give us everything. We expect them to be honest and true, open and vulnerable, real and raw. And we don’t do the same…then wonder why things don’t work out.
The problem with the way we love today is that we want people to be and act a certain way, but humans aren’t puppets that we can manipulate. And love isn’t something we can change, conform, or contort to our own rules.
The problem with the way we love today is that we think we can control emotions and people. We think we can choose how much or how little to let people in. And instead of falling, instead of giving our all, instead of letting our hearts talk, we restrict.
And end up unsatisfied and unhappy.
See, real love is not about setting guidelines and rules. It’s not about comparing your actions and thoughts to those of your partner. It’s not about being guarded, or only letting someone in piece by piece. It’s not about only giving as much effort as your S.O. does.
In all reality, love is about giving everything. All the time.
I’ve written about love hundreds of times. It’s something that fascinates me because it’s so complex, because it’s so inherent within us, because it’s beautiful, and because it continually changes.
I’ve always believed that love is selfless, but to give 100% and expect nothing? As someone who values her strength as woman, there’s a part of me that gets angry just thinking about giving my all to someone and getting nothing back. How is that fair?
But love isn’t about being fair. It’s not about matching someone’s heart with perfect consistency. It’s not always going to be balanced and equal—it’s going to be messy and confusing and sometimes one person will give a little more and sometimes it won’t make perfect sense.
https://gipstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/The-Love-of-Giving.mp4
And that’s okay. Because it’s real.
So maybe my good friend is right—real love is selfless. It’s giving all that you can for someone and hoping that they’ll return it to you, but not demanding they do. It’s putting your best foot forward, but not trying to control the other person’s responses. It’s going all in with your heart, your actions, your intentions, but not forcing someone to return that.
It’s about giving without expectations.
And maybe when you willingly sacrifice yourself, when you willingly share your vulnerability and imperfection, when you willingly entrust your heart in someone’s hands—that’s when you experience real love.
That’s when you stop trying to control something that can’t be controlled, and you let it control you. That’s when you smile at your best friends, hugging and crying and newly engaged on a cliff with the sunset in the background, and realize you maybe, finally understand—love is about giving, giving, giving.
Love and Giving Sometimes I don’t know what love is. Sure, I’ve been in love before. I understand the way it changes a person, how it makes someone feel, how two people become intertwined and grow together, how powerful and messy and beautiful it is.

Facebook And The Cambridge Analytica Breach.
Facebook has begun to notify users who were affected by the Cambridge Analytica data breach. If you or one of your friends installed the personality-quiz app “This Is Your Digital Life” prior to 2015, then some of your data illicitly made it to the servers of the voter-profiling company. If your data was ensnared in the breach, you’re not alone. I’m also one of Cambridge Analytica’s victims. (If…

Where Trump is correct: Amazon doesn’t collect taxes.
In a move that sent Amazon’s shares reeling, President Donald Trump complained on Twitter Thursday that the online retail giant pays “little or no taxes to state & local governments.” But his attack on the company, ostensibly in defense of brick-and-mortar retailers, was misleading. Although Amazon had once collected sales tax in only a few states—those in which it had warehouses or offices—it…

Mark Zuckerberg has a net worth around $72 billion, making him the fourth-richest person in the world.
Zuckerberg drives a cheap car and wears basic clothes, but appears to splurge on real estate.
Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan are generous philanthropists, investing billions in childhood education and medical research.
Mark Zuckerberg, the 33-year-old founder and CEO of Facebook, has a net worth of $72 billion and counting. He’s the fourth-richest person in the world, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, but it seems he doesn’t have a taste for opulence, especially when it comes to cars, clothes, and travel. As a member of the Giving Pledge and cofounder of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, which he started with his wife and college sweetheart, Priscilla Chan, the Harvard dropout has dedicated much of his fortune to charitable causes.
In May 2012, eight years after its founding, Facebook debuted on the New York Stock Exchange. At the time, it was the biggest technology IPO in history. Despite his status as one of the richest tech moguls, the Harvard dropout leads a low-key lifestyle with his wife, Priscilla Chan, and their two young daughters. Like many other Silicon Valley stalwarts, Zuckerberg favors a uniform. Though casual in appearance, his signature gray T-shirts and hoodies are designed by luxury brands and are reportedly much more expensive than they look, retailing for hundreds and even thousands of dollars.
Zuckerberg is known for driving relatively inexpensive cars. He’s been seen in an Acura TSX, a Volkswagen hatchback, and a Honda Fit, all of which are valued at or under $30,000. There’s one thing Zuckerberg doesn’t seem to mind splurging on: real estate. In May 2011, he bought a 5,000-square-foot home — which he’s since tricked out with a “custom-made artificially intelligent assistant” — in Palo Alto for $7 million. The next year, Zuckerberg began buying the properties surrounding his home, spending more than $30 million to acquire four homes, with plans to level them and rebuild. He also owns a townhouse in the Mission District of San Francisco. He bought the 5,500-square-foot home in 2013 and proceeded to make over $1 million in renovations, including adding a greenhouse and remodeling the kitchen.
In 2014, the billionaire’s real-estate portfolio jumped the Pacific when he spent $100 million on two properties on the island of Kauai: the Kahu’aina Plantation, a 357-acre former sugarcane plantation, and Pila’a Beach, a 393-acre property with a white-sand beach. Zuckerberg said he and Chan bought the land because they’re “dedicated to preserving its natural beauty.” Zuckerberg doesn’t appear to travel much for pleasure. But when he does travel, Facebook foots the bill. Zuckerberg’s security detail and transportation cost the company nearly $5 million in 2015. On his whirlwind tour, the CEO dined with a family at their home in Ohio, met with former opioid addicts, worked on an assembly line at a Ford factory, met with members of the military, and even fed a calf. It’s likely the costs were much higher in 2017, after Zuckerberg spent the summer traversing America as part of his personal goal to visit every US state in a year. Zuckerberg shared photos on Facebook of his experiences in America’s heartland, and he seemed right at home. Ultimately, opulence and luxury are just a blip on Zuckerberg’s radar. In fact, his main priority is giving his money away, rather than spending it.
Zuckerberg is a member of the Giving Pledge, joining Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and over 100 other billionaires vowing to donate the majority their wealth to philanthropy. He plans to sell 99% of his Facebook shares during his lifetime. Zuckerberg has complete control over Facebook’s future, thanks to his majority voting rights. Facebook’s stock price rose over 50% from April 2016 to September 2017, and Zuckerberg said he plans to accelerate selling shares to fund The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Zuckerberg said in September 2017 that he planned to sell 35 to 75 million shares over the next 18 months, totaling between $6 billion and $12 billion.
Some of his Facebook shares will go toward the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, a philanthropic organization he founded with his wife in 2015 focused on “personalized learning, curing disease, connecting people, and building strong communities.” The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative is tackling both local and global issues. In 2016 Zuckerberg and Chan invested $3 billion into research focused on curing the world’s diseases by the end of the century. In 2017, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative partnered with housing startup Landed, giving $5 million to help at least 60 teachers in Redwood City and East Palo Alto, California, purchase real estate.
Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan are generous philanthropists, investing billions in childhood education and medical research. Mark Zuckerberg has a net worth around $72 billion, making him the fourth-richest person in the world.

Drinking too much soda can cause an array of negative effects in your body, even if you drink diet soda. Carbonated soda drinks do not contain any beneficial nutrients, but typically contribute excessive calories and sugar to your diet. Start swapping out one soda per day for a bottle of water.
The Harvard School of Public Health reports that soda manufacturers pump out 10.4 billion gallons of the sweet stuff annually. One of the major concerns that health experts have with soda pop relates to its sugar content. A single can on average weighs in at 33 grams. While the occasional soda pop won’t have a disastrous effect on your health, be aware of the proven detrimental health effects of drinking soda pop.
It’s High in Calories
The average can of soda pop contains 150 calories, solely from added sugar. A study published in June 2000 in the “International Journal of Obesity and Related Metabolic Disorders” found that the calories in liquid forms, such as in soda pop, are not registered by the body. As a result, soda drinkers consume more calories throughout the day as food in addition to the calories they drink in sodas. This leads to an overall calorie, or energy, surplus and weight gain.
It Triggers Type 2 Diabetes
A study published April 2007 in the “American Journal of Public Health” correlated nearly a twofold increased risk of developing Type 2 diabetes with the consumption of one or more sugary beverages per day. The sugar in soda pop causes a dramatic increase in blood sugar, triggering the body to release a substance called insulin. Insulin signals the body to remove sugar from the blood. Over time, the body no longer responds to insulin, resulting in Type 2 diabetes.
https://gipstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/How-to-Give-Up-Soda.mp4
It Affects Calcium Levels
Not only does soda pop directly decrease calcium intake by replacing healthier, calcium-containing beverages, like milk, it also causes the body to get rid of calcium. A study published in “The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition” in August 2006 relates that this calcium depletion is the body’s response to the high levels of phosphate found in soda pop. During adolescence, calcium is critical for bone formation. Low calcium levels can have long-term effects on bones, resulting in osteoporosis and fractures later in life.
It Rots Your Teeth
Sodas are detrimental to your dental health. Not only does the sugar content in soda directly contribute to cavity formation, the acidity of soda eats away at the enamel of your teeth. The acid in sodas is nearly as corrosive to tooth enamel as battery acid. Tooth enamel protects your teeth from everyday wear and tear, but once damaged, it is damaged forever because the body cannot repair it.
How do I stop drinking soda?
If you want to stop drinking so much soda, it basically comes down to four steps, according to the experts:
Make Up Your Mind. You have to make up your mind to give it up. You have to make up your mind to give it up. Even if you’re just trying to cut back on your soda consumption, it can take a firm commitment to make it happen.
Switch to Diet Sodas. Gradually make the switch to diet sodas, suggests Paul Rozin, PhD, a psychology professor at the University of Pennsylvania. “Just make a small decrease at a time, like one sugared soda a day,” he says in an email interview. If you’re drinking much more than one soda a day, work toward decreasing the number of diet sodas you drink as well — eventually.
Go Caffeine-Free. Caffeine, and the fact that it is mildly addictive is part of the reason soda is such a hard habit to break. Look for caffeine-free soft drinks, and gradually decrease the number of caffeinated drinks you have each day as you work toward kicking the soda habit completely. If you’re addicted to the caffeine in soda, you’re really kicking two habits — the soda habit and the caffeine habit. “It takes a few weeks to truly forget the craving,”
Stock Up on Alternatives. Keep plenty of tasty non-soda drinks on hand to make giving up soda as convenient as possible. What Are Some Soda Alternatives?
Here is a list of non-soda beverage possibilities to consider. You’ll notice the drinks that contain calories also contribute important nutrients like calcium or vitamin C.
Give Soy Milk a Chance. If you’d like to work in a serving of soy a day, give soy milk a try. Lots of brands and flavors are available. If calories are an issue, try one of the lower-calorie options.
Don’t Skimp on Skim Milk. Skim milk is a great way to boost your intake of protein, calcium, vitamin D, and other important nutrients. One cup of skim milk has only around 85 calories. The Beverage Guidance Panel recommends up to two servings a day of nonfat or 1% milk and fortified soy beverages.
Pimp Your Water. To an avid soda drinker, water can seem a little unexciting. One of the best ways around that is to add noncaloric flavors to your water. A sprig of mint or a slice of lemon or lemon will do wonders. If you like subtler flavors, try a slice or two of cucumber or a frozen strawberry.
Make Green or Black Tea Your New Drink Habit. Tea is a healthy alternative to water for people who prefer flavored beverages. Tea is calorie free and contains powerful phytochemicals like the antioxidant in green tea, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Great-tasting green and black teas abound in supermarkets and specialty stores. If you’re cutting back on caffeine, look for caffeine-free teas.
Think Outside the Juice Box. Although 100% fruit or vegetable juice contains important nutrients, try having no more than one serving a day because they can also contain plenty of calories (about 100 in 1 cup of fresh orange or carrot juice). One way to cut those calories is by making a homemade juice spritzer: Combine one or two parts seltzer, mineral water, or club soda with one part 100% fruit juice (try fresh orange juice). Or try the new vegetable juice flavors in your supermarket, as well as fruit and vegetable juice blends. While they’re not super low in calories, each serving contains a serving of fruit and a serving of vegetable.
Discover the Coffee Cure. For java lovers, coffee can be a calorie-free, flavorful alternative to soda. And you can easily find lower-caffeine coffees in coffee shops and supermarkets. But to keep coffee low-calorie, be sure to keep it simple — skip the syrups, whipped cream, and whole milk.
Make Good Old WATER Convenient. At least 4 servings a day of water for women and at least 6 servings for men. When you need to quench thirst or hydrate your body, nothing does it better than water. If cold, refreshing water was more convenient, and if we were reminded to drink it during our day, a lot more people would reach this daily goal. So keep water bottles ready to go in your refrigerator, and every time you leave the house, take a bottle with you. If chilled water is sitting in your car or on your desk at work, you’ll be more likely to get into the water-drinking habit.
Some advice on how to cut back On Your Soda. Drinking too much soda can cause an array of negative effects in your body, even if you drink diet soda.

Today, Robert Herjavec is a star of ABC’s “Shark Tank,” the CEO of cybersecurity firm Herjavec Group and a multi-millionaire.
His success is entirely self-made: Herjavec’s family fled Communist Yugoslavia in 1970 (now Croatia) and arrived in Canada with a single suitcase and $20.
But before becoming an entrepreneur and investor, Herjavec felt adrift as a young person.
“I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I was a bit of a mess, partying, hanging out,” he says season 9 of “Shark Tank.” “People would say, ‘What do you want to do with your life?’ I’d go, ‘Ah, it doesn’t matter.'”
https://gipstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Robert-Herjavec_-Success-Isnt-Measured-on-Days-When-the-Sun-Shines.mp4
But at 21, his father sat him down for a serious talk.
“I went through hell so that you could have the opportunity I never had,” Herjavec’s father told him. And it gave Herjavec the drive he needed to succeed.
“I had this incredible sense of desperation that if I didn’t do something with my life, all the sacrifice wasn’t worth it,” Herjavec explains to Inc. He landed a job at tech firm called Logiquest, and excelled, becoming president of the company in his 20s. Later, he founded his own company.
The lessons he learned along the way were hard fought, and there are four keys to success, Herjavec says in a recent blog post, that “I wish I knew back then.” And any young person can use them.
Earning money is less important than gaining experience
If you’re thinking about taking a summer job as a lifeguard or waiter to make extra cash, think again, Herjavec warns.
“I see a lot of young kids in high school and university working odd jobs because they want to enjoy their breaks from school,” Herjavec writes on his blog. “That’s fine, but in the long run, the experience will be what helps you identify your path and find success.”
Herjavec suggests prioritizing the professional skills you can learn at a summer gig or internship over the amount of money you might earn.
“Experience is your most valuable asset, so find a job that gives you the experience you need,” he writes.
Fellow self-made millionaire and real estate mogul Sidney Torres agree.
“Intern in the industry you want to be in,” he tells CNBC Make It. “Don’t worry about what you’re getting paid.”
Or, instead of working at all, invest your free time in learning a skill, like “teaching yourself a new [software] program,” Herjavec writes. “Remember — you are your best investment.”
Making excuses is a bad habit
“Don’t make excuses because nobody cares,” Herjavec says. “We’ve all experienced hardship in our lives, so the biggest mistake you can make is to make excuses for why you can’t do something.”
Jon Taffer, the host of Paramount Network’s “Bar Rescue,” argues that making excuses is “the common denominator of failure,” in his book “Don’t Bullsh*t Yourself!: Crush the Excuses That Are Holding You Back.”
“If you own the failure and truly blame yourself, you will fight it,” Taffer explains. “If you blame an excuse or someone else, you have no reason to change and will continue to fail.
“Own your failures and you will own your success,” Taffer continues.
Instead of making excuses, Herjavec suggests young people adopt a problem-solving mindset. “Focus on what you need to get the job done — and then go do it!” he writes.
https://gipstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Roberts-most-memorable-year-story.mp4
Risk-taking can be beneficial
The time to take big risks, “like quitting your job to start your own business,” is when you’re young, Herjavec says.
“I’m a fan of taking the risks earlier in life when you likely have fewer responsibilities and more flexibility,” he explains, instead of when you have a family to consider.
Taking calculated risks is part of the mindset successful people cultivate, according to “The Top 10 Distinctions Between Millionaires and the Middle Class,” by Keith Cameron Smith.
“Millionaires overcome fear with knowledge,” Smith writes. “Millionaires educate themselves before taking risks, and then they consider the consequences of failing.”
Herjavec agrees on the importance of analyzing risks before taking them. For example, when starting a business, he advises you “test before you go all in, 100 percent, to make sure you have the buy-in of a customer base.”
College helps, but getting to work is key
Student debt reached nearly $1.38 trillion at the end of 2017, according to the New York Federal Reserve. Herjavec suggests young people think carefully about how much education they’re willing to pay for.
Though today an undergraduate degree is almost a necessity, that doesn’t mean you should spend years and years studying up, says Herjavec.
“Education is critical, but there’s no reason to go into massive debt for the ‘perfect’ degree or multiple degrees in the same field,” Herjavec writes. “Where I get worried is when I see students shying away from putting their degrees to practice in the job market in favor of adding another minor or perhaps masters.
https://gipstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Robert-Herjavec_-You-Dont-Have-to-Be-Smart-to-Be-a-Billionaire-_-Inc.-Magazine.mp4
“Unless you need a specific degree for your career (for example, you’re getting a professional certification), your ability, experience, drive etc. are far more important,” he continues.
His advice is to get to work and see how you fare: “I encourage the youth of today to try their hand in their chosen field. Fail. Learn. Succeed. Then decide if you want to pursue further education.”
Even billionaire and investing icon Warren Buffett prefers experience over fancy degrees. “I don’t care where someone went to school, and that never caused me to hire anyone or buy a business,” he says.
Four keys to success: The story of Robert Herjavec Today, Robert Herjavec is a star of ABC's "Shark Tank," the CEO of cybersecurity firm Herjavec Group and a multi-millionaire.

What are the qualities which a leader should possess? There have been many attempts at listing the many good qualities which a leader should possess, and catalog those undesirable characteristics which he should not possess or should minimize or eliminate. Such a listing often serves only to discourage the aspirant to leadership, because, in summation, they seem to describe an unattainable ideal. However, a goal toward which to aim is necessary, if one is to shape his efforts in self-development so as to gain a satisfactory measure of accomplishment in preparing himself to lead, to guide and direct the efforts of others in any field of common endeavor.
The qualities of the leader may be grouped according to different methods. They may be separated into personal characteristics and professional capabilities; they may be classed as physical, mental, and moral qualities; or they may be considered as those qualities related to the leader himself and those related to the individuals whom he aspires to lead.
https://gipstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Qualities-To-Be-A-Leader.mp4
Merely to enumerate the desirable qualities of a leader would accomplish little. But a consideration of some of these qualities will serve to illustrate the characteristics which we should watch for in others and which we should strive to develop in ourselves in order to prepare ourselves to be better leaders.
Loyalty: No quality is more important than loyalty. It is essential in both the leader and the follower, for it works both ways from the individual, and loyalty down is no less important than loyalty up. Loyalty begets loyalty, and an evident sense of devotion to the interests of his followers on the part of a leader is assurance of faithful and willing cooperation upon their part.
Simplicity: Too often is a realization of professional ignorance and lack of self-confidence manifested by an attempt to conceal these faults by vague and complicated orders, explanations, or conduct. The best results in the performance of a task are obtained by simple and direct methods, where the end to be attained and the means to that end are first clearly understood by the leader and then, through his efforts, clearly understood by his men.
Self-Control: No one can lead others until he can properly control himself. We are quick to realize the mastery in the man who can master himself. He who, when he makes mistakes in drill or in any other organized effort, loses his temper and attempts to “bawl out” his subordinates, thereby sacrifices in large measure their willing cooperation in the team play of the unit.
Tact: A sense of the appropriateness of things, of when and how to act, is an invaluable lubricant to the conduct of human relationships. When tact is lacking the military machine soon develops friction and is less efficient. Sympathy, kindness, generosity, and a consideration of the rights of others are all bound up in the exercise of tact in procuring the cheerful and whole-hearted performance of a desired action by others.
Energy, Enthusiasm, Diligence: Inaction in the face of a situation requiring positive measures is at once productive of failure. Capability without industry cannot result in success; but many a mediocre leader has succeeded through sheer energy and perseverance. In this truth lies the hope of the vast majority of us in our endeavors to lead others in the accomplishment of a common end. Enthusiasm breeds enthusiasm, and fires others to efforts of which they might otherwise not feel themselves capable. No man is beaten until he admits defeat, and impending defeat has often been turned into victory through the energetic and enthusiastic inspiration furnished by the leader.
Common Sense, Judgment, Acumen: It has often been said that common sense is one of the most uncommon attributes of the individual. But the exercise of common sense and good judgment is in large measure the foundation of active leadership. Knowledge is the background of common sense and judgment. Acumen denotes quickness of perception, keenness of discernment, sharpness in deduction, and ability in clear discrimination. The leader who can promptly estimate what his fellows will do under a certain set of circumstances, and who then can make a sound decision based upon the conditions as he sees they will develop, possesses qualities which place him upon a high level of leadership.
Earnestness: Sincerity of purpose, like enthusiasm, in a leader is soon transmitted to those whom he aspires to lead. Sham, hypocrisy, and bluff are all too readily unmasked, and he who attempts to conceal his ignorance or to “alibi” his mistakes will soon find himself not only a dethroned leader but an outcast from the fellowship of team-mates. Zealousness does not require a superior manner, but a conscientious willingness to go more than half-way in the solution of the task in hand.
Justice, Fairness, Impartiality: A sense of justice and a determination to deal fairly and impartially with all others are essential in any one who would control and lead others. The degree of respect, of admiration, and even of affection with which their faith in him is measured is in a very large measure determined by his possession and exhibition of these qualities. In little things even more than in big things does the demoralizing effect of partiality or unfairness make itself felt. Justice does not, however, necessitate domineering, bullying, or blustering tyranny. Usually, these are indications of secretly admitted incompetence or lack of faith in one’s own judgment or decision. Such measures are destructive instead of remedial. Nor is it necessary or desirable, in order to be fair, to be over-lenient, lax, or cajoling, for these qualities in the individual set to lead will quickly corrupt an organization through its lack of respect for his ability and qualities. Even a fool can tear down, but it takes a man of mind and character to build up
Willingness to Accept Responsibility: A willingness to accept responsibility is the foremost trait of leadership. Every individual from the highest commander to the lowest private must always remember that inaction and neglect of opportunities will warrant more severe censure than an error of judgment in the action taken. The criterion by which a commander judges the soundness of his own decision is whether it will further the intentions of the higher commander. Willingness to accept responsibility must not manifest itself in a disregard of orders on the basis of a mere probability of having a better knowledge of the situation than the higher commander. The subordinate unit is a part of a tactical team employed by the higher commander to accomplish a certain mission and any independence on the part of a subordinate commander must conform to the general plan for the unit as a whole.
Initiative and Vision. In order to have a willingness to accept responsibility, the individual must have initiative and vision. Many a cause has been lost through lack of foresight and vision on the part of those charged with the responsibility of planning the course to be followed. Many an action has bogged down in failure because the one in charge did nothing. An early edition of the Field Service Regulations stated: “In a given situation it is far better to do any intelligent thing consistent with aggressive execution of the general plan than to search hesitatingly for the ideal.” Such action takes initiative, and a willingness to accept responsibility and to act. In drill, for example, it is necessary to think ahead, to plan the next movement, and to be prepared at the proper time to give the necessary order. Organizations and groups of individuals often exhibit an inertia similar to inanimate matter and tend to remain at rest or continue in the same direction unless a controlling influence is exercised from without by the leader himself. Imagination and creativeness of mind are attributes which facilitate the exercise of initiative and vision.
Reliability and Dependability: These qualities are much to be sought for and developed in the follower as well as in the leader. It is a comforting thought to know that a task allotted will be well and surely performed, and the leader who knows that he can depend upon his subordinates is well served. Likewise, for those who follow to know that their leader will not desert them and that he is bending every effort toward their welfare and devoting every fiber of his being to their benefit is to call forth from them the last ounce of eager, loyal, and whole-hearted cooperation.
Decision, Resoluteness, and Perseverance: The ability to decide to act and then to act has characterized all successful leaders of history in whatever field of endeavor, and their success has been measured directly by the clarity of their decisions, the determination with which these were executed, and the tenacity with which they clung to their purposes. All this takes willpower, firmness, and the courage to follow the course decided upon. It has long been a military axiom that “a good plan once adopted and put into execution should not be abandoned unless it becomes clear that it cannot succeed. After-thoughts are dangerous, except as the aid in the execution of details of the original plan.” Moreover, a mediocre plan executed with determination, energy, and single-minded purpose will produce far better results than a better plan initiated belatedly or executed with vacillation and indecision.
Honor, Uprightness, and Truthfulness, an inherent quality in every human being, savage or civilized, young or old.
The preceding material is designed for the study of the individual who aspires to become a leader. This is only one approach. There are hundreds of approaches, but it is believed that a careful analysis and application of the foregoing will enable an individual to become a leader. In short, every individual possesses inherent qualities that may be molded into leadership. Some find it more difficult to attain than others, but all leaders have one characteristic in common; the unalterable desire and passion to become a leader.
What are you passionate about?
The 12 Amazing Qualities of a Leader. What are the qualities which a leader should possess? There have been many attempts at listing the many good qualities which a leader should possess, and catalog those undesirable characteristics which he should not possess or should minimize or eliminate.

I read a lot on the issue of “gender equality.” My mission is about helping leaders capture the documented benefits of gender diversity. I help leaders attack the reasons for the slow pace of achieving gender diversity (see my article on the London School of Economics Business Review). The issue is getting more and more attention. We are almost past the point of needing to talk about its business case.
I am more frequently seeing terms like “gender equity,” “gender parity” and “gender balance.” For example, the report by Lean In and McKinsey & Company, Women in the Workplace 2015, looked at the (tremendous) economic value of “gender parity.” That report concluded that, if the (slow) rate of progress over the last three years, continues, it will take 25 years to reach “gender parity” at the senior VP level and more than 100 years to reach parity in the C-suite.
https://gipstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Gender-Parity.mp4
So, is “parity” (meaning an equal number of men and women) the right goal? Leadership gurus tell us that the goals that inspire people the most are measurable, time-bound and attainable. They must be currently out of reach – but realistic over the long term. (Even 25 years is very long-term; in 100 years most of us will not be alive to know the outcome.) In the 2010 census, women were 50.8% of the U.S. population. Is it realistic to think that, even within the next century, women will represent 50% of every level of business, including the C-suite? Is this an “attainable” goal? I don’t think so.
I talk a lot about the barriers that keep women from the top. They include unconscious bias or “mind-sets“ like the “double bind,” gendered definitions of leadership and the “comfort principle.” Even if we could magically eliminate all unconscious gender bias, other factors would make parity unlikely. Bias is a big reason women aren’t proportionally represented at the top. But there are other key reasons.
First is the free choice to put family ahead of career. Second is how women don’t “lean in.” A third is a distaste for what life is or is perceived to be, at the top. The latter point is the focus of Arianna Huffington’s book Thrive, in which she points out the toll on our health and well-being of our current ways of working. All of these do and will cause some women (and some men) to prefer life outside the C-suite.
The study The Power of Parity by McKinsey Global Institute points out the economic value of gender parity. But the study recognizes that parity may not be the right goal. The study shows three scenarios – (a) the “business-as-usual” scenario, which assumes only historical growth, (b) the “best-in-region” scenario, assuming that each county matches the gender parity results of the best performer in its region, and (c) the “full-potential scenario.”
https://gipstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Obama-on-gender-parity-in-business.mp4
The executive summary of the report explains why the less ambitious scenario, scenario (b), is considered. It notes that the full-potential scenario is “unlikely to materialize within a decade” for two reasons. First, the “barriers hindering women” are unlikely to be fully addressed within that (very short) time frame. And second, “participation is ultimately a matter of personal choice.”
I am not at all dis-heartened by my conclusion that full gender parity is unlikely in my life time. I respect the reasons people freely choose a path different from the path to the C-suite. But I remain committed to removing the other barriers – so that choice is truly free.
What do you think of the goal of “gender parity”?
Gender Parity: A Realistic Goal? I read a lot on the issue of “gender equality.” My mission is about helping leaders capture the documented benefits of gender diversity.

Patient information is essential if prescription drugs are to be used safely and effectively. In today’s medically conscious society, the patient should be regarded as a consumer of a product. And as a consumer, the patient should be an active participant in prescription drug therapy, not a passive recipient of whatever information the physician deems best.
It is opined that a physician should obtain the patient’s informed consent before initiating therapy. The patient’s consent must be known if it is to be true consent. Therefore, the patient must be informed of the risks involved in the use of a particular medication so that the patient may balance the risks and benefits while taking into account “[his own] personal values, lifestyle, and attitudes towards risk.”‘ Without adequate patient information, the patient’s consent is not true consent, but merely acquiescence to the physician’s choice of therapy.
It has been more than ten years since the Food and Drug, Administration proposed regulations which would have required detailed patient information for all prescription drugs. The proposed regulations are intended to promote the safe and effective use of prescription drugs.
Prescription drugs are dangerous compounds which can cause serious injury when used improperly and occasionally even when used properly (Adverse drug reaction ADR, or adverse drug effect). Adverse drug reaction (ADR, or adverse drug effect) is a broad term referring to unwanted, uncomfortable, or dangerous effects that a drug may have.
A patient taking a prescription drug should be supplied with information concerning the drug’s proper use and symptoms of possible adverse reactions if the drug’s dangerous properties are to be minimized. Providing patients with adequate information on the proper use of prescription drugs and the risks involved in their use satisfies two tort objectives.
Satisfies the disclosure requirements of the informed consent doctrine. Patient information is essential if the patient’s consent is to be knowledgeable and, therefore, qualify as informed consent.
Aids in limiting the inherently dangerous properties of prescription drugs. This decreases the incidence of injury and, consequently decreases tort liability.
Because all drugs have the potential for adverse drug reactions, risk-benefit analysis (analyzing the likelihood of benefit vs risk of ADRs) is necessary whenever a drug is prescribed. In the US, 3 to 7% of all hospitalizations are due to adverse drug reactions. ADRs occur during 10 to 20% of hospitalizations; about 10 to 20% of these ADRs are severe.
The risks of prescription drugs range from mild allergic reactions resulting in minor discomfort to thromboembolic disease, resulting in paralysis or even death. The severity of the risk, however, does not necessarily increase with the benefit of the drug. For example, Accutane used to treat severe recalcitrant acne, has been associated with major fetal abnormalities, while insulin, used to treat diabetes, generally causes only mild allergic reactions.”
To find more about a drug’s side effects, look on the label of over-the-counter (OTC) products or on package inserts or printed materials that you get with prescription drugs. Because the inserts often include a long list of possibilities, you may want to also talk to your pharmacist or doctor about what to expect and watch out for.
https://gipstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Medication-Side-Effects.mp4
Patient information consists of patient instructions on the proper use of prescription drugs and patient warnings concerning the risks. Patient instructions can improve patient compliance and decrease the incidence of drug interactions, thereby decreasing the occurrence of adverse reactions. Patient warnings can decrease the severity of adverse reactions by allowing earlier recognition of possible adverse reactions. Patient warnings can also improve patient compliance by informing patients of frightening but minor side effects.
The safe and effective use of prescription drugs entails using the drug properly as well as limiting the occurrence and severity of adverse reactions. Most individuals desire from physicians all information concerning possible adverse effects of prescribed medication and do not favor physician discretion in these decisions.
Patient Information In Prescription Drugs. Patient information is essential if prescription drugs are to be used safely and effectively. In today's medically conscious society, the patient should be regarded as a consumer of a product.

Do you have a dream that you want to accomplish in life? While I believe everyone has a dream, not everyone dares to pursue it. Most people choose to let their life slip by because they get stuck in the rat race, going through life without any meaning or purpose. They wake up each morning for the sake of going to work, and they work because they need to pay their bills and put food on the table. Are you one of them? On the other hand, a small portion of people chase their dreams and work on the things that they want day and night. These are the dream chasers, and they dare to do things differently to live their dreams.
So which category are you in?
If you are someone who knows what you want and you’re working hard on it; congratulations, you will materialize your dreams eventually. If you are someone who lives through life without knowing what you want, with no passion and without any direction, here are 10 reasons why you must pursue your dream life right now…
#Success #Quotes Chase Your Dreams @styleestate
Experience Growth
People who pursue their dreams will experience growth. Imagine yourself working at the same company, in the same position, and doing the same work for 30 years. How do you feel about that?
You will feel bored and as if life is meaningless. Things will change and you need to grow from time to time to feel alive. Look at how our mobile phones have changed in the past 20 years. Who remembers those Nokia brick phones with the snake game on them? Even the clothes you wear, the car you drive and the food you eat has changed.
Change is inevitable. And if you don’t change, you are dying. You’re either growing or you are dying. Thus, experience growth and inject freshness into your life every day by pursuing your dreams.
Getting What You Want In Life
Do you want to live in a bigger house? Do you want to live in the villa by the sea? Do you want to drive a better car? Whatever you want, you can get it as long as you dare to pursue it. The sad news is that most people don’t dare to chase for what they want. They choose to stay in their comfort zone because they are afraid of uncertainties. They ask themselves, “What if I try and fail?”
There is no need for you to live in mediocrity, my friend. You have the capability and the talent to manifest your dreams.
Will Smith once said; “The first step is you have to say that you can.” Trust yourself and your ability. You can get what you want in life. So start chasing your dreams.
Live With Passion
Why do you wake up each morning? Is it solely because you have to go to work? Successful people wake up every morning feeling excited and motivated for their dreams. In fact, they are so driven that they can hardly sleep and they can’t even go a day without thinking about their dreams. Conversely, people who live in mediocrity are reluctant to wake up. They choose to sleep more when they have the chance.
The reason is simple; they don’t have a dream in life. And when you don’t have a dream, you don’t have a purpose. When you don’t have a purpose, you will never live with passion. Find out what you want to do with your life today. And from tomorrow onward, wake up with motivation and live your life with passion.
Have A Clear Direction
Having a dream will give you a clear direction in life. Your dream will tell you what you need to do and the direction you need to go in. Without a dream, you will be living your life like a lost sheep following the crowd. You will become part of other people’s dreams.
People who go on to accomplish outstanding success in life are always clear about what they want. They know what they want and they work on it. If you don’t have a dream, you will never know what to do. This is why most ordinary people spend their weekend sleeping and wasting time in front of the TV.
https://gipstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/BELIEVE-IN-YOURSELF-Motivational-Video-ft.-Jaret-Grossman-.mp4
Successful people spend their weekend on productive things and work on their dreams. Unsuccessful people waste their weekend doing nothing and feeling bored or partying.
Being Extraordinary And Unique
When you have a dream, it separates you from the ordinary people. Your dream makes you special and unique. People will look up to you when you have a great vision. Think about it, would you work for an ordinary firm, or would you rather work for a company like Google or Microsoft if you had the chance?
Most people prefer to work for a great company because they want to be part of something big and meaningful. And this is what makes you unique and extraordinary. When you have a dream, a bold vision or a purpose bigger than yourself, people will follow you and join you, because you are special.
Unleash Your Potential
Another reason why you should want to pursue your dream is so that you can unleash your potential. Do you want to live your life without unleashing your full potential? Do you want to bring the great music within you to the grave? There is only one way to unleash your greatness within, and it is through pursuing your dream life.
When you go for what you want, you will learn to handle setbacks, hardships, failures, and mistakes. These are the things that will make you grow. And these are the things that will build your character and unleash your potential. We often think that successful people are great because they are talented. No, this is not always the case. Successful people are great because they dare to chase their dreams and are determined to always give it they’re all.
Serve And Help Others
When you are on your journey to pursuing what you want in life, you will enrich and help others along the way. Think about it, when Steve Jobs pursued his dream to create a smartphone without any keypad, he created value for people and he made people’s lives more convenient.
The same goes for Elon Musk. His dream was to create an electric car so that the world can become a better place by reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Sam Walton created thousands of jobs while he was on his journey to building Wal-Mart into the biggest chain store in America.
Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela liberated and had provided freedom to millions of lives through their dreams.
Do you know why you want to pursue your dream life right now?
Create Positive Changes in Life
Apart from helping people along the journey, you will also create positive change in both your life and other people’s lives. How can you change your life? By chasing for what you want. When you work on your dreams, you change your life indirectly.
Marianne Williamson has a great quote; “Your playing small does not serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.” We are all meant to shine as children do. Therefore, chase your dream and create a positive life.
Give the Best to People You Love
Do you want to give the best to your lover and people you cared about? Do you want to provide a first-class education to your children and give them a better life? You can if you work on your dreams. People who dare to dream and chase for what they want in life have a greater responsibility than people who live life just as it is.
When you are successful, you can give a better life to those you care about. You are not the only person who will benefit from the rewards of chasing your dreams; those around you will benefit too.
Feel the Satisfaction and Happiness
You feel happy and the most satisfied when you achieve your worthy goals. Albert Einstein said; “If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.” Once you reach your goals and start living your dreams, you’ll feel extremely fulfilled and happy. This is because your hard work has finally come to fruition. On the other hand, people who do not have a dream will often feel bored in life. They feel that life is meaningless and without any purpose. Eventually, they will end up stressed and start living their life like a zombie. Don’t let that happen to you.
#Success #Quotes Chase Your Dreams @styleestate
A great reason to pursue your dream life is so that you can experience fun, exciting and unforgettable moments in life. Imagine your dream is to travel the world and to visit countries you have never been to before. When you embark on the journey to travel the world, you will see things ordinary people will never get to see. Not only that, you will experience great moments that most people can never have.
Your dreams make your life worthwhile. Your dreams will create opportunities and bring you the best moments you have in life. “You Only Live Once.” Life is short, and so you should pursue what you want. Seriously, you don’t want to wait until you are old and regret the things that you didn’t do, right? So do your best and chase for the dream life you have always wanted. We’ll never be able to live life over again. Thus, whatever the dreams you have or the things that you want to do, do them right now.
Getting What You Want In Life Do you have a dream that you want to accomplish in life? While I believe everyone has a dream, not everyone dares to pursue it.
