so I took a bite out of a fruit today thinking it was an apple, and I almost spat it out because it was a terrible apple, but then I realized “oh! It’s a pear!” and I ate the entire thing because it was a pretty good pear.

There’s a metaphor in that, but it’s too early in the morning for me to parse it

It's so weird to me people don't have tumblr. Like where do you express your sexual desires? Express yourself in the way we do it here? Loose your mind? Stay unstable and insane? Yet very fuckable?

I went to Joann to see spooky stuff and swore I wasn’t going to buy anything because I’ll be in Brazil for Halloween…but I couldn’t resist. So many cute things 🥺

I think so? 🤣 Kind of blew my life up. Ended a long term relationship. Solo living with my dog in a house that’s way too big for me alone. New international love interest and learning a new language. New reorg at work gave me a new managar that’s actually invested in my growth. Lots of change all at once and I’m just trying to keep up!

sometimes when I'm bored, I go through the list of recent bad faith Wikipedia edits that have since been reverted. a lot of them are politically contentious/offensive topics that attract crazies and trolls in general, but sometimes there are completely innocent inoffensive articles that people attack for no reason. some guy yesterday vandalized the article on the chemical element francium

That news is still going to be there in the morning. Nothing huge is going to happen in the race right now, it's going to be people speculating and talking in back rooms and nothing is going to be settled right now.

If you want to read the news this evening, that's absolutely okay, of course.

But if you feel like you have to read the news, have to keep up to date on it, have to know what's going on?

You don't have to. You can take the evening off from politics. Go outside and look at the moon. Drink some water. Watch something that makes you laugh. Whatever helps your brain breathe for a moment.

It's okay. You can catch up tomorrow.
