im just curious, why do you ship ginny and tom? (no sarcasm/rudeness intended)

Hey I don't know how old this question is since I rarely log in to this account so sorry if it has been a while!

I like to believe that there is always a reason why a person is bad and there is still some good in them no matter how evil they are. And I believe with the right circumstances / right person a villain can turn good. I don't ship Ginny and Tom just as they are. I ship them in a way that Ginny saves him because he learns what love and caring for someone means through her (and she is the one that can do that because she knows him better than anyone does). I just love love-hate relationships which is why I also ship Dramione ans Jily. I don't ship Hermione with the mean racist Draco and I am not into abuser ships, but I like the idea that Hermione could change Draco's prejudice views and becomes a better person because of her. Same with Ginny and Tom I love gnt time travel fanfics for example where she plans to murder him but finds out there is still a bit good left in the 16 year old Tom. But I don't like fanfics where he abuses her and they are in a relationship which is what most people think this ship is about that's why it's frowned upon.

I hope this explanation isn't too confusing and chaotic!

Burn

I haven’t been able to write anything for the better part of a week and a half, but today, thankfully, the muse decided to let the words free from the prison she had them sequestered away in.

I know this is a little early, but I plan on hopefully being able to write a different drabble/short for your actual birthday. So this is kind of like your birthday gift Part I?

This is my first try at this pairing, and I hope it isn’t utter rubbish *fingers crossed* I also primarily blame you for this, since you are the reason I started shipping them. Okay, I’m going to stop rambling now, and happy birthday my darling, dearest Collie ( @colubrina ) thank you for being the awesome person that you are, and for writing such amazing things. I love you!!!

  She burns.

  He destroys.

  Her vibrant ginger hair dances in the wind as she glares at him, he throws back his head, running his blood covered hands backwards through his dark tresses.

 He strides forward with casual confidence, pale eyes sparkling with amusement as he looks upon her pouting face.

 She leans back her head, chin jutting forward defiantly. He easily slips an arm around her waist, the other moving to grasp her chin.

 “Mine,” he says.

 “I don’t belong to you, I don’t belong to anyone,” she hisses with sharp venom, stepping back as if to escape his hold-he only pulls her closer.

  “Oh, pet. If only that was true,” he grins then, flashing rows of radiant, straight white teeth.

  She burns.

  He destroys.

  She narrows her eyes into slits as she reaches up, grasping his face roughly in her hands, “if I belong to you, then doesn’t that mean that you belong to me? Pet.”

  He lets out a short, harsh bark of a laugh, “very well, Ginevra.”

  It’s her turn to smile, although it’s more mocking with the use of her full given name. He closes the remainder of the distance between them, their faces so close that their breath entwines.

 “Mine,” he repeats breathily.

 Her response comes out after a long drawn out moment, “yours.” She rakes her nails across his pale cheeks and thin lines of crimson appear almost instantly.

 Then his lips descend upon hers, claiming her as his and swallowing her fire whole. She burns and he destroys, and the grim landscape around them is proof of that, the ground is scorched, burned and what used to be a vast castle is now rubble and the bitter, tangy smell of blood tinges the air.

 She is his, and he is hers, and together they are death and creation all wrapped up in a tidy little package with a neat red bow.
