Happy Halloween from Solomon Grundy

This was a favorite page from The Batman Strikes #19, featuring The Batman’s version of Solomon Grundy. The pencils are by me, with inks by Terry Beatty and colors by Heroic Age studios.  Note the difference in vibrancy and sharpness between the digital version (as available on Comixology) and the scan of the printed comic. The Batman Strikes was printed on fairly cheap paper and the dark, saturated colors tended to get dull and muddy in print. Sadly the full series was never collected into trades, and only the first 21 issues have been made available through Comixology. That’s less than half of the 50-issue run! Come on, DC, get the full series on Comixology!
