I'm trembling with excitement because the lovely folks on the discord shared this amazing link to Edwardian-related things with primary and secondary sources and so my wants-to-write-an-edwardian-AU-for-dbd brain is very, very happy right now.

These Brilliant Lights is coming to AO3 in the foreseeable future, ladies and gents, and I am excited for it.

Something I love about Edwin as a character is that he’s simultaneously such a teenager and such an old man all at the same time. Like, he’s a sassy little drama queen with boy problems, like all teenagers. But he also knits on trains and scolds you like he’s your great grandpappy when you do something stupid. It makes him such a fun character and I love it.

One is These Brilliant Lights. It's going to be an Edwardian AU. Edwin and Niko are paranormal detectives. Charles is cursed as a ghost and Crystal does seances. That's how she meets him.

The other is In Umbra Mortis. It's very, very loosely inspired by Orpheus & Eurydice. A spell gone wrong, Charles ends up in Hell and Crystal goes down to bring him back.

But I dropped in to say I might be starting one of my Dead Boy Detectives fic ideas, possibly. I'm waiting for a beta to get back to me on another fic so that one's on hold. But there's a good chance I could start on a DBD one!

Hey folks, just a heads-up. From today until 11/8, I'm going on a little hiatus.
