MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED. I dunno how accurate these nutritional facts are but the fact that fufu and soup came up in my food search makes my night (and it's only 300 calories? Hmmm) s/o to the Lose It! Weight loss App lol

My Ghanaian Problem
Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of people criticize South Africa for their violent xenophobic attacks. While this violence may not be common in a lot of African countries, I immediately thought of my post GP #212 where I basically said tourists are treated better than Ghanaians themselves. Looking back at that post I noticed that one of the tags I used was foreigner. I don’t want to generalize our whole country but typically the red carpet is rolled out for non-Africans. When I went to Ghana last summer I noticed a quite a few foreigners investing in our land. My cousin was talking to one of our grandmothers about this and she basically said they’re coming in and taking everything. We’ll gladly allow foreigners to buy our land but make up stories to make us fear Nigerian refugees. This is passive xenophobia imo. What’s going on in South Africa is horrible but we need to evaluate ourselves as well before casting the first stone.

Blackout Day and Ghana’s Independence Day. It’s time to celebrate the melanin in our skin and the kinks of our hair. It’s some we stop hiding who we are and rejoice in the way God made us. It’s time to be who we are. I thank God for my dark skin and my beautiful country of Ghana. May the good lord shed his grace so that Black folks and Ghana can thrive! Stay Black and stay bold.

So I recently got relocated for work and when I moved my mom came to visit to help me settle in. While she was here she bought this bucket. She claims she bought it so I could use it for cleaning. But let's be real. She bought to bath while she was here LOL. S/o to Ghanaians who still have the bucket despite having a working shower. AND HAPPY 58th INDEPENDENCE DAY GHANA p.s. It's also blackout Friday so post you fellow Ghanaians all over social media since it is our day too 😜 I'll be posting my fellow Ghanaians all over my social media, most likely Instagram lol
