SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE! . PEACE GIRLFRIENDS'🙌🏾 . With summer on the way, it's important to begin planning and visualizing what your summer is going to be like. Maybe you have already scheduled some educational learning programs, or homeschool CO-OP field trips but have you thought about how you will fill in the in-between? . Start a weekly schedule of fun family activities that you can commit to! -Go hiking -Go bike riding -Cook a meal together -Challenge yourselves to read "x" amount of books this summer -etc. . While summer break is a gift to us mothers with it allowing us a moment to relax and not stress about the next assignment or test you have to set up for your children, take this 3-month opportunity to have freedom to experience, chill, and thoroughly enjoy your time as a family through being in each other's company. . Peace Girlfriends' When GG2H first became an idea 2-years ago, I believed that its purpose would be to speak to the homeschooling audience regarding the sad reality of homeschooling as a black woman/family in a predominately white space as well as give voice to the black community along with the same focus. . Now that time has passed, the focus has grown and cultivated into something much more. In addition to giving a voice to black homeschoolers, it is now more about gathering the scattered scattered by families of the African diaspora and become a driving force of encouragement and support for families to begin to EDUCATE OUR OWN! . GG2H hasn't quite settled fully into its rightful position, presence, and influence in the African diaspora community. Even though we haven't reached that 'place' just yet, as the journey continues to unfold, I am forever humbled with gratitude to have each and every one of you along for the ride. .
