The Hulk did not care what kind of bug man he was, they all look the same to Hulk, all red, all make bad jokes, all try to stop Hulk, all want to hurt Hulk!
❝ Bug men will leave Hulk alone! ❞
Picks up a mailbox and hurdles it at the bug, then a parking meter.
Oh-kay, this was bad.
Gerry dodged the mailbox, then caught the parking meter, holding it like a baseball bat.
“I’m not here to fight you!” Gerry said, then glanced at the thing he was holding. It did kind of look like a weapon. So he dropped the parking meter and held his hands up in a sign of friendship.
“You knew my mom, right? Spider-Woman? You made her a sandwich once, right? Remember, big guy?”

❝ Hulk tired of bug men! ❞
So he throws a streetlamp at him!
Okay, Gerry might not have a spider-sense, so this narrowly missed him. He jumped out of the way, clinging to the nearest wall.
“Does it help if I’m an arachnid?!”
Smooth, Gerry.

I need to get Gerry a new costume. I already have a new codename for him, but... I need a new costume for him.

❝ i’ve never heard of someone having spider dna before. is that just something you can be born with? was your mother born with it? ❞
“Nah, she kind of had evil parents... so... fill in the blanks, I guess. Anyway, it’s not all bad. I can shoot webs out of my body.”
Okay, that sounded kind of gross.
“Not... not the butt. Like... wrists.”

“ the fact that there isn’t a child-of-superheroes support group is egregious. ” he’s not entirely sure that he’s using that word right. hopefully the amount of disgust he’s placed on it isn’t horribly inappropriate. many are the risks of living among the super-intelligent. “ i think, ” he continues. “ that it should probably be a requirement for super-parents. by law, or something. ”
@gerrydrews
“You have a point!” Gerry tapped his chin. “Not to be morbid, but I think if you get some weird illness from your messed up genes or messed up evil scientist grandparents, there should be a support group for that too.” Then he thought about it. “Then again, the trauma of just being a super kid is enough, isn’t it?”

❝ genetic bad luck, huh. what are you, black cat’s kid? funny how your suit doesn’t have fur and claws, then. ❞
“If my mom was Black Cat I’d absolutely be wearing a funny catsuit, but my mom’s Spider-Woman. Hence the Spider-Man suit.”

❝ you were born with spider dna? how does that happen? ❞
“Have a mom with spider dna, get born, continue to have dna. Then you can jump really high.”

❝ i’ve only seen people who can fly jump that high. how do you do it? ❞
“Oh, it’s not that hard, really. Just be born with spider DNA and you can jump as high as you want, I guess.”

❝ yeah, i do say fuck and wacky. it’s called having variety — and what you have is called bad luck. ❞
“I find that kind of wacky.” Gerry crossed his arms. “I would say I have bad luck in the cosmic sense, but that’s kind of genetic.”

❝ can you blame me? every time you’re around, something goes wacky. ❞
“So you’ll call me a fucking idiot, but you’ll also just say wacky? Huh. Alright. And, sure, things do go strange but... part of my charm, I think.”

“Do you know how ammo works? It doesn’t just… go off. I mean, not unless there’s somethin’ seriously wrong. You can open it, it ain’t gonna poison you and it ain’t gonna shoot you.” Deadpool could have been doing anything else besides this right now, he just wanted to clean his firearms and put away his purchases.
“It’s mine, I told you. My guy had sold this lot to me and some other feeb, but I paid for it first. Guess he’s just more afraid of whoever the other buyer is.”
“Right. Yeah, I knew that.” Gerry still held his face away when opening the bag. It was what he said. Ammo. He reached in and with a gloved hand, picked up a magazine. Heavier than he thought it would be, but he does have super strength... so.
“So, like... do I just let you go with all this? Like... what do you... what are you gonna do?” Shit, Gerry, what would Peter do? What would mom do?!
Instead of figuring this out, he intently stared Deadpool down, panicking behind the mask.
