I strongly dislike playing the devil's advocate, but it's frustrating to see that many people lack common sense.
Is anyone else baffled by the people mocking Zverat for feeling sick and claiming he’s just faking it? Seriously, how can anyone be that out of touch? It’s just wild!
For people with Type 1 Diabetes, heat is risky because it alters insulin action, increases dehydration, and can damage devices—making blood sugar control harder and raising the risk of heat illness.
He is absolutely not faking it, and he should not have to face the risk of a hypoglycemic coma..
If you wish this upon him, I am afraid to inform you that you are not better than him.

Guys this match took me mentally physically, and emotionally up and down we won in the end, I love the fact that the media keeps on pushing the narrative that Americans hate Russians but the vast majority of the crowd was cheering for Andrey ❤️🩹❤️🩹🤭

Losing the first set to Sonego despite his poor footwork is impressive. I was watching it live, but Fernando's new haircut was distracting me from the game. Mad cut Fed

oh we won by the way lol

hi!!! im trying to get into tennis (which is harder than i thought but not giving up) and andrey rublev is one of the players who makes me unwell…so how can i learn more about him lmao 😭 are there any significant matches or tournaments that count as more stand out moments, or just the social media things since i dont typically follow socials for athletes
if you do have some answers i thank you so much in advance <333
hi! and uff god should I say welcome? ahah
well I’ll go straight to the point, andrey is an enigma, doesn’t matter how much anyone tries he will come out with something new and unexpected from time to time.
he is very smart in my opinion but it gets overshadowed by his insecurity and it comes across as very weird , I’ve read even people speculating that he was neurodivergent yet (we can discuss how actually everybody in the world is neurodivergent but this is not the time and place lol) I guess is just a bit of insecurity and as Medvedev said andrey is actually a completely different person when he speaks his language (Russian) so we can also say that the language barrier is one of the things that makes him even more insecure because he doesn’t know how to express himself in the best way possible
actually if you listen to some of his interviews in Russian, he comes across as a very deep person, thoughtful with a really good heart, but also cold in a way you can feel that is trying to put a sort of wall between him and the interviewer mostly because he doesn’t want to be too much public with the public (make it make sense lol) (and I can understand why especially with the Russian press) actually within time is trying to be more open and actually trying to say more things to open a little bit more ; now we know that he makes electronic music, tennis is not the only sport he plays (he had an interview if I’m not wrong with RA optics talking about sports and he said he likes snowboarding, or stuff like that) he has 3 or 4 older sisters he has been widely open about depression actually since 2020 when In October 2020, approximately 48 hours before the St. Petersburg Open final, he lost his grandmother and nonetheless went on to win that tournament, dedicating the victory to her memory he often speaks about her as she was the person who was closer to his during his whole childhood (she played piano, and he has often credited her for inspiring his love of classical music and art) and losing her was a bit like losing himself.
so now that I gave you a bit of insight let’s focus on the iconic moments I am yapping too much
this is not a chronological timeline!!
1. The “No War Please” message
After winning the Dubai title in 2022, Rublev wrote “No War Please” on the TV camera, right after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
This is actually the moment I became a fan of his, I don’t think people realize how brave that action was, plus he did it literally the day after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Absolute Legend
2. His victory in Montecarlo against Rune
It’s actually available on YouTube, he managed to win his first master 1000 after many losses in finals
3. Cincinnati 2021 first time beating Medvedev
this is his first win against a top-5 player in a big event and also well meddy is his best friend so it was something even more special in that sense
4. 2020 winning everything
he won Doha, Adelaide, Hamburg, St. Petersburg, Vienna and we loved that
5. French Open Quarterfinal 2020 > first quarterfinal in a grand slam
6. Defeating Nadal at Monte Carlo (2021)well winning against Nadal is a big win
7. Nitto ATP Finals (2022) he won against Tsitsipas
8. Olympics golden medal in doubles with Pavlyuchenkova
he is also known to be very humble in general does a lot of charity and cares about good causes yet he is not immune to the controversy I have to say 🥲🫶🏻
1-Andrey has openly acknowledged being financially supported by a Russian oligarch named Andrei Bokarev, Bokarev is among the Russian elites sanctioned by several governments in the aftermath of the Ukraine invasion and this also explains why after all this years he still has residency in Russia and there is a high chance of probability that a percentage of his wins goes in Bokarev pockets (I am actually really sure about it) Rublo appears uncomfortable discussing it, but said it as a necessity for his development.
2- well…. Meltdowns he has a terrible temper when it comes about committing a fault, doesn’t matter if he is 2 games on against anyone if he starts committing fault he lose his goddamn mind we have seen it over and over and over…and over (Dubai 2024, ATP Finals 2023, Montecarlo 2022, Miami Open 2021 , French Open 2022, Roland Garros 2022, Madrid 2022)
3-related with the meltdowns and probably one of the things I hate him the most for, the self harm on court , there is no justification for doing that ever it’s something absolutely disgusting and I don’t think ai have to explain myself further
4-his clothing collation being a little too expensive (180€ for a sweatshirt is crazy) and his questionable partnerships with brands (imo only to get money let’s be real)
5- transphobia accusations after the Imane Khelif case, I uncovered that well when that happened in this blog I don’t wanna start all over again (personally I don’t think he is transphobe but I had to add this for transparency)
6-his friendship with zverev…….. .
Hope this helped you ! plus his surname pronunciation is ROO-blyoff not ROOBLEV 😭

He keeps on saying the level he played the match with Alcaraz isn’t his best and he could have done much better, which I strongly believe, say what you want but I know my man, the thing here is that he is way too subjective to his emotions and you can see his up and down during matches like honestly no other player and until he doesn’t “fix” that he will never play at his fully potential
#atp tennis#andrey rublev#atp tour#tennis#he is literally strong as fuck he plays tennis since always probably tennis was his first word#believe in yourself#Андрей Рублев
