The Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered 360 hp already has a price
Peugeot surprised at the beginning of 2019 with a very sporty plug-in hybrid prototype. In addition, it was created by the competition and high-performance subsidiary Peugeot Sport. At the beginning of this 2020 it was confirmed and they showed us the production model: the Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered.
Available in both 508 bodies (saloon and SW station wagon ), the Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered combines the efficiency of plug-in hybrid mechanics for everyday use, with high performance. So much so that we are faced with an all- wheel drivemodel with no less than 360 hp.
This sports saloon combines a PureTech 200 petrol engine with two electric motors, located at the front and rear. As we said, it is a four-wheel drive model and its combined power reaches 360 hp . Meanwhile, its maximum torque is no less than 520 Nm.

This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 5.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km / h. And all this with CO2 emissions of 46 g / km. Thanks to its electrical autonomy of 42 kilometers in "zero emissions" mode, it benefits from the DGT's Zero environmental mark in our country.
Logically, everything has a price. The Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered is available from 62,200 euros for the saloon body, having to pay 1,200 euros more if we want to opt for the SW family variant.
Best of all, the French signature of the lion makes it clear that this is just the beginning . More cars tuned by Peugeot Sport and with electrified systems will arrive on the market soon. When and what models will they be? The company has not wanted to advance more details, but we do not doubt that soon we will know much more.
Audi SQ5 Sportback TDI, with a 341 hp diesel V6
Barely a couple of months have passed since Audi unveiled the coupe-like body of its Q5, the so-called Audi Q5 Sportback. The German firm continues to "promote" this model, but now it releases all the data of the sports version, the Audi SQ5 Sportback TDI .
You already know that many of the new models in the Audi S range have put gasoline engines aside for a new diesel engine. In the case of the Audi SQ5 Sportback there is no exception. Under its hood is a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine.
The top-of-the-range Q5 Sportback family delivers 341 hp at full capacity. Meanwhile, its torque is 700 Nm , that is, huge, being available between 1,750 and 3,250 rpm. This, among other things, allows you to do 0 to 100 km / h in 5.1seconds and obtain a limited top speed of 250 km / h.
This diesel engine -which is the same as the current S4, S5, S6 and S7- has a micro hybrid system. The 48 volt mild hybrid system stores electrical energy in a small battery. Afterwards, it is used so that the car can circulate by inertia with the heat engine switched off for up to 40 seconds. It also moves the electric compressor and is responsible for starting the vehicle through the alternator generator.
