this is journey of creating my window display of Gucci creating the theme ladies race day for spring/summer 2025. Throughout this process i started with the base of applying the prints on the back and side walls for my display i went with bold bright floral prints. Then from there i added the hedges to represent the horses jumping over the fences and applied there signature logo on the green hedges. For the back wall i made a rosette to really give my window display a statement piece. Originally the rosette was going to be red but i added a touch of green to represent the gucci colours of there brand and to add details. Then round the edges of my box to make my window unique instead of using a wall i added in green hedges to make it feel like your at the races and to symbolize the theme ascot ladies day. To finish the window i added on the gucci bags on top of the hedges to make it look like horse games at the fair and to make the window fun and playfull.

when designing my window display i researched examples of ladies race day displays. to get inspiration for my window display and pull out certain pieces to add into my window. In the hermes window i really like the horse stirrups they used for the background. Even though it simple it makes the saddle stand out more by the simplicity used. I also like in the other photos the vibrant colours that are used and over the top flowers that are placed to make the window eye catching.

In London we visited the Nike store what sets this brand aside from other brands is it edginess and futuristic vibe it portrays. What i really liked about Nike is how the mannequins have movements and how they are positioned in the store. I also like the neon lights they used to give certain aspects of the shop floor a pop of colour. When walking into Nike it is a very young demographic of people you see in the shop by the music they play and they also had a DJ in the middle of the shop while walking past. In one section of the shop there trend was layered clothing and how layered clothing was styled on the mannequins and how they used one set colour so style a section of the shop.

what makes this window display different is the use of curve effects and how the lamppost wraps around the metal sheet gives of a edgy look and makes the display unique. In the second picture why i like this display because of how they made the christmas tree different with the use of the spiral effect giving a modern take on a christmas tree.

i few pieces i like from these images is the fairy lights with the golden butterflies for the brand Dior. and the simplicity of how the bags are arranged within the butterflies not making the display to messy but bold. I also like the neon lips on the Charlotte Tilbury making the image bolder and brighter. Walking round i like how the print kenzo is place all over the drawer and even though it simple with the colour scheme it makes the display bold.

We visited the Gucci cosmos exhibition in London and saw all the stages oh how Gucci was created and how it manage to be a house held name in the fashion industry with its timeless pieces. When walking through the exhibition it was a very sensory experience. Each room gave you a different experience when walking through. With different sounds and visuals. Gucci is my chosen brand because of how they express there clothes and brand is very theatrical with vibrant colours and sizes of objects is very expressive. why I chose this brand is because of the equestrian side of Gucci and there signature piece there horse bits on there garments, bags and shoes and even using equestrian pieces such as riding hats and whips goes with the theme of my window display. For my own window display i am basing my theme on ladies race day. And why I thought Gucci would be a great brand choice is because of the prints they use such as colossal flowers and bold prints with different types of colours. and with my theme being race day there is a lot of inspiration i can use within my theme. Gucci has used horses within there brand for years and there are examples of historical equestrian events such as fox hunting pieces they have incorporated in the exhibition. the first room you enter there is a horse galloping round the room listening to the horses nose flare and hoofs echo round feels like your in the room with a horse is a fascinating feeling.
