BTS has been losing fans
Let's talk BTS.
note: this post does not represent the entire genz community, these are only based off opinions.
——————————————————————————————-
I was once a very big fan of BTS, and KPOP.
BTS changed and it made me stop loving them.
Just like everyone else, people change and they split ways because they longer need/ can relate to each other anymore.
The main reason why I stopped being a fan was because the group started approaching the western market, releasing their first English single, dynamite. Don't get me wrong, the song was a bop and it still is. But it felt like they completely re-branded themselves to fit what the Americans wanted (including the use of autotune). It just felt like they were going so far away and leaving their Asian fans who has been there since the very beginning, hanging.
BTS started feeling foreign.
As the group progressed and achieve more success, I started wondering if they were still a KPOP group. I can't help but question why they are releasing albums and singles with 90% English lyrics and still call themselves a Korean-POP group. (i know i am exaggerating but still.. you get it)
I'd rather the company debut the group in America, just like they debuted in Japan and release songs in full Japanese lyrics, whilst still releasing genuine KPOP music.
Of course, music should change with time, because releasing the songs with the same vibes can get boring for the fans. But, this drastic change is unacceptable to me (it might be acceptable for you), especially since they have been in the industry for YEARS, leaving their fans hanging and forgetting about their existence just isn't right.
Overall, BTS grew older and are no longer the active, young and fresh group that they once were. They have personal goals and ideas that are different from what they once had, to which I have learned to accept as a fan and made the choice to let go.
I wish BTS all the best and constant happiness in their endeavors, I wish for them to continuously make their fans happy, and feel the love that they truly want to receive.
——————————————————————————————-
I get that idols can get sick and tired of Korean fans being manipulating and toxic, but what about fans from the other Asian countries?
what are your thoughts with the KPOP industry in 2022? do let me know what you think!

30/11/2022
Before we enter December 2022.
a self-reflection
Quick question, do you look forward to turning 18? / do you remember the time you turned 18?
——————————————————————————————-
I am turning 18 this December 2022, an age where I officially transition into my young adulthood.
When I was a child, I always wondered what I would be like when I grow up. Back then, 18 seemed like a big girl number, a number where I would be completely different. 18 seemed distant, but yet felt so close to my heart.
(i especially felt a little overwhelmed when i met 18 year olds as a kid)
Now that I am approaching this age, I can't really describe how I feel, kind of like a mixture of happiness and sadness (that i'm growing old and so is everyone else).
Since the beginning of the year, I made a new years resolution to live my last teenage year to the best, and I did exactly that (the first time I ever accomplished a new years resolution).
A little backstory of my teenage life, when I was about 13/14 my self-esteem was pretty low, which means that I was closed-off to those whom I weren't friends with. When I was 15, my friend group died as we were split into different classes, to which there, I began my journey of loneliness. But it all changed this year, where I started opening myself up.
What caused that change?
Well, as I was closed-off and had no social life in my teen years, it felt like I had wasted my time and not lived as how a conventional teenager (people my age around me) have lived. That includes, going out window shopping, going to the arcades, movies and just hanging out with friends in general outside of school time.
In 2022, I managed to make new friends, although we are not as close as I wish we were, I am still really happy I stepped out of my comfort zone and managed to bring out the teenager in me, instead of pretending that I am mature and need no childish friends.
It has brought an immense amount of happiness and gratefulness, just by being in the moment of hanging out with them. This experience was elevated because I did not expect that having friends can make me the happiest.
I am so glad that I made the decision to gain more experiences in life with them and that I can, in the future, say,
"I did that before I turned 18, with my friends."
——————————————————————————————-
I am not sure if I managed to transcribe how I truly feel in this blogpost, but,
I want to give a full stop to my teenage life instead of a question mark and,
I want to leave no regrets behind.
to children younger than 18: do what you want when you have the excuse of saying you are young and childish, don't be afraid.
to adults older than 18: it is not too late, your 18 year old self is always there, the burning passion should power and drive you to do what you want to and nothing should stop that!!!!

parents can be a barrier to children with mental illnesses
Why Genzs struggle to seek mental help.
note: this post does not represent the entire genz community, these are only based off opinions.
——————————————————————————————-
With more awareness and people in this generation getting educated with mental health, why is it that despite recognizing the signs and symptoms of depression and anxiety, genzs still tend to keep everything to themselves?
One reason I have discovered based on observations of my genz friends around me, that parents are partially to blame.
How exactly? It is the fact that they do not understand where mental illnesses stem from. Parents aren't educated on how to react and what to do if they were to ever face someone with mental health issues because it was never introduced to them when they were younger.
Some of the older generation (millennial/ genx) grow to think that they have gained more life experiences and are therefore, a step ahead of the younger generations. This makes it difficult for education and awareness of mental wellness to reach the parents of genzs (because of factors like, the way they were brought up and the limited exposure to social media), which as a result, becomes a barrier for genz to reach out for help.
[an example of a barrier: parents will think that it is a waste of time and money to see a therapist.]
Parents who are not educated on mental wellness will likely react in a way that is not recommended by professionals. For example, saying things like, "Get over it" or "Stop being dramatic" or "Stop being lazy!". Parents should instead, be concerned for their children and ask questions like, "Why are you feeling this way?" or "What is making you upset?".
That being said, no one is at fault here. So, reading more articles and having a growth mindset to learn new information is important for everyone! It improves the communication between generations, allowing more genzs to not be afraid and seek mental help.
——————————————————————————————-
Your mental health is important, please take this blogpost as a sign and reach out for help if you need it <3, do send me messages if you just need someone to talk to!

Christmas gift ideas for gen z girls
not sure what presents to get for your genz friends and family? here's a list with links for you to decide and choose from. * as an amazon associate, i earn from qualifying purchases *
——————————————————————————————
Makeup
Tumblr media
You can't go wrong with getting makeup to gift as presents... there are many different items in the world of makeup:
liptints,
mascara,
sunscreen,
primers,
blush,
eyeliner, etc...
don't get makeup that has different skin shades like foundation, concealer, bronzer etc..., because girls will not wear the makeup if it is the wrong shade!
some amazon links to help you get the most popular items in the market that girls will definitely say yes to!
Sunscreens:
All skin types: Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk SPF50+ PA++++ 60 ml - This one is pretty popular. I own one myself and it is super smooth as the name suggests, "milk", the consistency is liquidy. It has a slight florally scent and has a very shear white cast (not really noticeable, but it's there). It also acts as a primer so makeup does lie nicely on top :D
2. Dry skin: [Laneige] Watery Sun Cream SPF50+ PA++++ 50ml
3. Combination skin: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Non-Greasy Moisturizing Sunscreen
Liptints:
PeriPera Ink Velvet Lip Tint - Get shade 3 if you don't know which one to get (they have a wide range of shades to choose from). It acts as a base colour and it looks super natural just by itself! Achieves the no make-up makeup look very well!!
2. Etude Dear Darling Water Tint
Mascara:
ETUDE Dr. Mascara Fixer for Perfect Lash  - One of the more popular k-beauty mascara, does keep straight lashes curled (lashes has to be curled before applying). It is transparent so it won't make the lashes look clumpy and also, makes the makeup look super natural!!
L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara
CLIO Kill Lash Superproof Mascara
2. Custom Jewelry
Tumblr media
necklaces,
bracelets,
rings,
ear studs,
earrings, etc...
Custom jewelry can make the gift more personalized and come across as thoughtful and meaningful, use my code "25853" at CustomCuff when checking out to get 10% off your order!!!
They offer custom jewelry with coordinates, dates and even you handwriting engraved! They have sets too so you can match with your loved ones :) <3
I bought a pair of bracelets, it has not tarnish although I wear it 24/7 as friendship bracelets with my bestie!!
3. Water bottle
Tumblr media
Cute and aesthetics water bottles for hydration? YES. Girls want to stay hydrated to keep their skin clear, they'll appreciate it if they have a nice water bottle to bring with them to school or the gym.
Nalgene water bottle 32oz - most popular bottle used amongst students (i personally use one myself >.<, no leaks from the bottle and i save a ton of money from buying water outside too)
4. Gift cards
Tumblr media
Starbucks,
Grab
Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf,
Amazon,
Shein,
Cotton on,
Sephora, etc...
If all else fail, Gift cards are the way to go, these are some of the more popular and frequented places that genz tend to visit the most, Grab would be the top choice!

"dating in this generation is difficult"
GenZ vs First Love
note: this post does not represent the entire genz community, these are only based off opinions.
——————————————————————————————-
The only problem here, is that genzs are all afraid to be vulnerable.
Why is committing so hard? Because, growing up with social media (especially YouTube) has taught us that no matter how in love you were and how loving your relationship once was, it will come to an end.
To my friends that are afraid of getting their hearts broken even though they have never been in a relationship before, the only solution here,
is to face your fears:
Don't be afraid to get your heart broken.
Have morals and don't cheat on your partner.
Before I have people coming at me and saying my solutions are useless, let me explain.
Have a growth mindset. Yes, everyone knows losing someone whose presence you are so used to, will make you go through the process loneliness. But think positive, think about how you used to hate presentations (and you still do), and still improved slightly because it's a ever so often at school. Apply this to your situation of being afraid to love, you will start learning how be vulnerable along the way because you have to.
Life is a process, not everything will be smooth sailing and go your way. Staying in your comfort zone limits the valuable lessons you can learn. What's the point of living if you don't experience life to the fullest?
Lastly, it's a no-brainer, DON'T CHEAT. Stay civilized and when everyone abides by the rule of no cheating, this world would be a happier place.
also, communication is the golden key ;)

to: parents who love their children
HOW TO IMPROVE FAMILY RELATIONSHIP WITH A GENZ.
note: this post does not represent the entire genz community, these are only based off opinions.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To parents who love their children:
We are humans. Just like your colleagues and your friends your age, we prioritize other things and feel like certain things are not as important. We are no longer 5 year olds wanting to watch baby shark on repeat. We do not think that you are always right and are well equipped with the answers we need anymore.
We have report papers and groupmates at school who does not contribute, to stress about. We stress about our future and how we can support ourselves in this society. We are just like you.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The hard truth is, parents do not own their children. Communications will improve if the relationship becomes a friendship. Because what they need is support, not criticisms on what they should or should not do.
