There are many variations of normal Hilichurls such as the Shooter, Fighter and Berserker. The Fatui Harbingers
The Fatui Harbingers are the Tsaritsa's lieutenants who have been given absolute authority, and each of them leads their own militia division.
In the game we so far have met the 6th Harbinger, the 8th Fatui Harbinger and the 11th Harbinger. We also are aware of the alias for six of the remaining eight Harbinger. Each member of the Fatui Harbingers get their title from a stock character in commedia dell'arte (16th century Italian theatre which is normally comedic).
The 6th Harbinger is ‘The Ballader’ Scaramouche. Scaramouche was created by the Raiden Ei (Inazuman Archon) as the initial test into whether there was technology that would make a passable puppet body. Scaramouche was disregarded as the puppet body after he cried when he was created, and Ei dubbed him to weak to be the Shogun.
The 8th Fatui Harbinger, ‘The Fair Lady La Signora, is the first member of the Fatui, who we meet when she ambushed Venti to steal his gnosis. She eventually meets her demise at the hands of the Raiden Shogun. She was granted a pyro vison but wields a cryo delusion. Signora also has the title of The Crimson Witch of Flames, which she gained after her lover died 500 years ago during the the fall of Khaenri'ah.
The 11th Fatui Harbinger ‘Childe’ Tartaglia, is the last member of the Fatui to join the Harbinger. When he was 14, he fell into The Abyss (the place) and he went through 3 months of learning to fight in order to protect himself, when he was found he went through a drastic change and became the ruthless warrior that ended up being conscripted to the Fatui

The Tsarita
The Fatui is led by the Cryo Archon, the Tsaritsa. She uses the Fatui to manipulate and intimidate the other nations in Teyvat. She also has deployed the Eleven Fatui Harbingers as the leaders of her military and foreign relations, so she can keep herself virtuous to her followers, through this separation of powers. We currently don’t know what she looks like, therefore I can’t include an image.
The method of rule the Tsaritsa uses is similar to how Stalin ruled the USSR in the 1930′s. Similar to the Tsaritsa, he used the NKVD to intimidate his own citizens into complying with his regime.

The Abyss Order
The Abyss order is a legion of enemies from The Abyss which came about after the Khaenri’ah, 500 years ago. Initially, the first parts of the abyss order you meet are the Abyss Mages, who can harness elemental energy from the Ley Lines. The Abyss Mages, usually control Hilichurls to do their dirty work for them. The usually have the colour of the element they can control.
Abyss Heralds and Abyss Lectors are creatures that are a part of the Abyss Order and who are capable of manipulating intense abyssal energy and are the commanders of the Abyss Mages.
The final member of the Abyss Order is the Traveller’s Sibling is the lost twin sibling of the Traveller and the supposed leader of the Abyss Order. When you reunite with them, they say you need to finish this journey; which hints that during the 500 year separation something drastic happened causing them to cause their loyalties to change.
The best parallel for the betrayal of The Traveller’s Sibling could be viewed as Romulus and Remus of Roman Mythology, where Romulus murdered Remus to control the city of Rome alone, and to win the favour of the Gods after a dispute.

The Unknown God
The Unknown God is the enemy in the prologue who separates you and your sibling. We still don’t know much about them but we can assume the Unknown god is from Celestia, which is where the archons receive their power from. Not much is known about either Celestia or the Unknown God, but they are extremely powerful compared to the protagonist.
The Unknown God could best be compared to that of the Covid-19 virus. This is because similar to the Unknown God, as a community we feel helpless compared to that of the virus, as it has changed life as we knew it. This mirrors the Unknown God, as she separates the siblings from each other, sending one to the future in the unknown new land and leaving the other trapped in the past in this land.
As you progress through the game you also find out that Celestia, the place where it’s believed the Unknown God is from caused the destruction of the nation of Khaenri’ah, 500 years before the event of the game.

What is Genshin Impact
Genshin impact is a free MMORPG available on computers, mobiles and gaming consuls. In the game, you play as a character from another world who is hunting for their lost sibling. The player finds themselves in the fantasy world of Teyvat, which is split into seven different nations each with their rules and a god; known as an archon. Each nation also has an element tied to its archon, who will gift visions (a method of controlling said element). Visions are usually spherical crystals branded with the symbol of their element and likewise, glow with their element's characteristic colour. Visions appear mysteriously to a chosen few during moments of extreme crisis, or singular ambition or desire.
Throughout the game, the player and their travelling companion Paimon become involved in the issues of each nation and attempt to solve them, whilst hunting for their lost sibling. The game was released in September 2020 by Chinese game company Mihoyo, and so far, has introduced three of the nations; Mondstat the city of freedom, Liyue; the city of Contracts and Inazuma the city of eternity. Mondstadt’s archon is Barbatos who goes by Venti, Liyue’s archon is Rex Lapis, who goes by Zhongli, and Inazuma’s archon is The Raiden Shogun, who currently is Raiden Ei, after taking over from her deceased twin sister. Each of these regions has different enemies you can encounter, and at least one main antagonist for the story arch.
Due to the sheer number of villains in the game, it is impossible to discuss them all, but I will explain and categorise each villain type, and where applicable I will reference a mythical or historical comparison.
