The harness was a beauty. Genesis had done quite a lot of shopping before finding one that satisfied him. Angeal had snorted when Genesis had shown it to him, saying it was just typical of Genesis to get a red leather one. Which was absolutely true, and Genesis was not at all embarrassed by it. He was a firm believer in doing everything with style, and that included fucking.

So, was it love at first sight with the prompts or you still need time to think about it? Do you have a favourite already or you just can't decide where to start?
Don't panic! There's plenty of time! 📅

SephGeal Appreciation Week starts tomorrow!
Are you ready?🪽
Tumblr media
Hello there, Sephgeal nation! For the first time ever, we're pleased to bring to you Sephgeal Appreciation Week!! This cozy little wintery event shall run from December 21st through December 27th, during which you're all invited to partake in absolute holiday joy with our boys in the #sephgealweek tag.
Prompts can be found below. Feel free to be as creative with those as you can, and take your time working on your entries, but please don’t forget to post them in the right date, though we'll gladly accept anyone who's late as well. (But just a little late! The tag will keep being checked up to the 31st!)
Some days feature two prompts. You may pick one or another, or find a way to combine them.
===============================
Dec. 21 ⠀||⠀Day 1. Mistletoe
Dec. 22⠀||⠀Day 2. Snowfall / Fireplace
Dec. 23⠀||⠀Day 3. Hot Cocoa / Soup
Dec. 24⠀||⠀Day 4. Starlight
Dec. 25⠀||⠀Day 5. Hanahaki / Gardening
Dec. 26⠀||⠀Day 6. Solace / Memory
Dec. 27⠀||⠀Day 7. Modeoheim
===============================
Please remember to include the week’s tag within the first 5 tags or else it might be almost impossible to find your work! If you fear you won’t be found anyway, please @ this blog in your post or send a DM. Anything containing any Character/Ship Hate won’t be accepted, so avoid including those in your entries. (Making characters as villains is fine, however.) Also don’t repost anyone else’s work as your own! Definitely don’t harass other people and remember that fiction is fiction, and we're here to have a happy time!
We’re also on other platforms as well! Check us out in the links below!

Genesis refilled his wine glass, clenching his teeth tightly enough to give himself a headache. He nearly bit his own tongue off when the doors creaked open—but it was only Angeal, returning from…wherever he’d gone, after Genesis had watched the last of the light fade from his parents’ eyes. The wine tasted sour in his mouth as he eyed the white-feathered wing poised behind his friend’s back.

Anon because I have a deranged question for deranged people like me: do copies/clones qualify as GenGeal?
Like A-Griffon/G-Ptolomea. Or G-Devastator/A-Ahriman. Or Angeal Penanace/Genesis Avatar. Or every single Genesis copy/Angeal.
Dear monster... lover friend, your question required a lengthy discussion and the opening of an investigation into the matter. The first conclusion we came to is that we love your perverted little mind and for that alone you would deserve a yes on all fronts. However, our answer is a little more complex than that:
Not only are Genesis Avatar and Angeal Penance really Genesis and Angeal, but now we must read this hypothetical fic of yours. They are Angeal and Genesis' final forms, so they qualify as GenGeal.
Copies are a a trickier issue. If you want to interpret copies as something like clones (canonically they're not, but your work, your headcanon!), clones are just genetically identical individuals, much like twin siblings, so they definitely wouldn't qualify for a GenGeal-focused work.
In canon, copies are SOLDIER or monsters whose cells have been overwritten with Genesis and Angeal traits. Lazard clearly states that his own thoughts and intentions are drowned out by Angeal's, so we can safely assume that copies tend to lose their sense of self over time. However, if the copies in your work still retain an individual identity (like Lazard), they wouldn't quite fit into a GenGeal focused event; if the original subject's mind is already lost and inextricably bound to Angeal's/Genesis' (do they even know they're not actually Genesis, for example? Do they still have free will?), they might fit into the theme of GenGeal week.
We trust that you will not abuse this clarification and and that you will use common sense to sense the fine line between narrative device and off-topic, because the outcome could be extremely interesting!

stupid question, but what if I have a WIP that fits with the prompt(s) even though I haven't started it specifically for the event? or if I have a multichapter in progress and I want to add a gengeal chapter?
Hello! As a general rule we would prefer to see new works for the event. If you have a WIP that you have not posted yet, and you believe it would fit within the theme of GenGeal week, then you are welcome to post it as part of the event, even if it's not something that you came up specifically because of it.
However, if you have a story that you already started posting before GenGeal week which just happens to have a GenGeal chapter, then that would not qualify. Events such as this exist to encourage people to create new fanworks for pairings and/or characters, and participants often get excited to see new material (especially when, like in the case of GenGeal, the focus ship isn't one of the most popular within the fandom), so a work that already existed before the beginning of GenGeal week wouldn't quite fit.
But if you have a not-yet-published GenGeal spin-off of another, already published work, that would be perfectly fine. Also, to clarify, having posted a short snippet or preview or otherwise hints to something you are working on does not make that previously posted work, so if you want to participate with a work you have already shared a few sentences/a sketch of that is alright.

Is polyship okay?
Think of us as relationship anarchists! Genesis and Angeal can entertain in other relationships within the body of your work, or you can ship them with other characters altogether and keep their relationship platonic as you wish. However, GenGeal must be at the centre of your work, and the aim should be to explore their relationship.
Keep in mind that even in non-monogamous relationships, individuals have their own unique ways of relating to each other, and each pairing can be explored on its own. Keep in mind that people have meaningful relationships outside of romantic and sexual ones. Whether you headcanon them as monogamous or polyamorous, you can still highlight their relationship on your own terms!
Here's a couple of non-GenGeal examples to clarify:
I know it's over by @birdblacksocialclub has a Strifesodos endgame, but the story revolves around SephGen;
Public relations by @rainbowcarousels implies AGS as a throuple, but the story is SephGen focused;
Ignore the flowers by @unknown-lifeform is a Strifesodos story, even if Genesis suffers from Hanahaki disease for Sephiroth.

Hi there! I love the dynamic between these two, but I don't really ship them romantically… is that ok? Is the event ship focused or do you accept platonic/friendship focused submissions? #aroproblems
Hi Anon, thanks for the question! Far be it from us to endorse any form of amatonormativity and allonormativity: whatever your headcanon for the Genesis/Angeal dynamic, the event will be happy to welcome it, as long as the focus of your work is on their relationship, regardless of its nature.

Welcome to the page of the first edition of GenGeal Week, a fan event ran by @ilminnestrone and @unknown-lifeform to celebrate the relationship between Commander Genesis Rhapsodos and Commander Angeal Hewley!
The event is going to take flight (see what we've done here?) on April the 21st, so you will have 19 weeks to think about the prompts we prepared for you. We created two separate lists to satisfy even the most demanding palates:
Prompts
Prompts (Spicy edition)
The deadline after which the tag will no longer be checked and entries will no longer be reblogged is May the 12nd: a good two extra weeks to finish your fanworks. In the meantime, set the mood with our playlist and navigate our tags as you please.
Feel free to add your works to our AO3 Collection.

Rules
Please tag us @gengealweek2025 within your post and/or put #gengealweek2025 within the first twenty tags of your post to ensure that we see your entry.
Please note if you have the event organiser’s blocked they will be unable to see your entries which may result in them being overlooked and not reposted: be sure to unblock the event organisers at least in the 21st of April - 12th of May time window if you want to avoid it.
If your works are spicy, please tag or label them appropriately so that they can be filtered out effectively by those who are not interested in spicy material.
Do not post content that is meant to discriminate against someone’s sexuality/gender/race/religion/disability. Do not discriminate against other creators, regardless of whether their personal takes and headcanons fit within your preferences or not. Just don’t be a dick, in general.
No character and/or ship bashing. This is an event meant to celebrate a ship we love, please do not fill it with drama.
No AI generated material is allowed within the event.
F.A.Q.
Who runs this event? GenGeal week 2025 is ran by @ilminnestrone and @unknown-lifeform
Do I have to post a work for every day of the week? Nope! Just post as many as you wish and are able to, no pressure at all.
Do I have to follow the prompts we are given? The prompts are there to give people ideas and inspiration, but they are not an obligation. If you have an idea that you don’t think will fit within the prompts you may still post it for the event. The most important thing is that we all have fun.
Are there genre/rating limitations? Nope! Just remember to tag your work accordingly (as a rule of thumb, remember: Dead Dove: Do Not Eat and Trigger Warning don't communicate anything about the content of your work, please specify the possible sensitive content).
What type of media is allowed? Anything! Please have fun with the suggested prompts and give free rein to your imagination!
Can I use the SFW prompts for spicy content or spicy prompts for SFW content? Of course! We set up two lists with different intentions, with clear innuendos in the "Spicy edition" list: people who prefer one type of content over the other can follow our suggestions, but you can pick and mix them however you like. You have full freedom to interpret them however you want: feel free to experiment and make the most innocent of prompts as deranged as you like, or choose our hottest one and turn it into fluffy cotton candy 😉
What if I already posted some GenGeal fanwork? That's great! You can bookmark your fanfiction in our AO3 collection and we'll be happy to queue your fanart or Tumblr posts if you point us in the right direction!
