*wakes up in a cold sweat* Imagine having a best friend for what felt like you entire life, doing EVERYTHING with said best friend, and then realizing that you have actually known said best friend for your entire life even if you didn’t know it, and also being gut-punched with the revelation that oh shit I’m dying to a chronic incurable disease, well at least I’m the one dying first so I’ll never know what it’s like to have to be without my best friend, and then surprise you find out that best friend is now dead and now you keep desperately fighting for your life even though you barely know why anymore because the one thing in it you thought was a constant is now gone, and then against all odds actually getting the chance to live even though the 2 people you treasured the most in the world are now gone and so you lock yourself away in a cave until you have a reason to live again
