jokes to make after failure that aren’t self-deprecating:
I’m the best to ever do it
Nobody saw that (best if said loudly)
No one’s ever done it like me
I could be President/they should make me President
Behold, a mere fraction of my power!
The public wants to be me soooooo bad
I’m an expert in (thing you just failed at)
How could this have happened to god’s favorite princess?
Nothing ibuprofen and a glass of water cant fix
I’m being sabotaged

I’ve learned so much this month that it seems almost sinful to be bestowed with the depth of knowledge I have been privileged to gain.
There’s something so beautifully intangible, breathtaking almost — about the way I’ve collected pebbles and pieces about life that are being churned into (with pace) collections that have given me solace and peace.
Still, as I am human, I find myself experiencing discomfort of some of those discriminate stones when I find them in my boots.
What I’ve learned is that we as humans hold such a propensity to rip those stones out the moment we experience pain and discomfort, but…
…these are just as human (if not more human) as the moments we experience joy, happiness, and confidence that lead us to exchange dopamine for morsels of time to placate the notion that “I’m doing much better than [insert soul name here]”⁉️
Anyone can express gratitude and appreciation when the “good/success” lays out in front of you like an eight course meal (real or imagined), BUT…
…how many entities can express the same indebtedness when it feels as though life has you hanging by a single bungee cord attached to a rock that doesn’t appear to be stable enough to hold you… or that damn cord?
How does one react when the curtain falls and the night gets darker, and you are unsure of the next step, strategy, and/or stone? What do they DO? What do they SAY (to themselves AND others)?
This is what challenges, fascinates, and stabilizes me simultaneously.
Those souls who do not run and instead embrace the stone, possibly picking it up out of their boot to marvel at it, and then RETURN IT BACK to their boots to understand its purpose?
They are rare, possibly blue even…
I prefer to hold myself adjacent to those who understand what it all entails, even though we know nothing at all.
THAT is true knowledge.
Word to Socrates.

The lofty entry begins the interior expanses of Italian travertine with the natural fissures filled with color-matched grout, furnished by Hastings Tile Co. The rug tapestry was made under license from the artist Roy Lichtenstein.
