Pygmalion and Galatea but make it lesbians 🩷 I love the myth of the sculptor falling in love with his creation, and I had a gay version a while back, so I’ve wanted to do a lesbian version for some time, and finally did! Galatea is based on a sculpture of a female warrior in Stockholm, Sweden, and the surrounding sculptures are all statues I photographed at the V&A museum in London when I was there in May. The Medusa one in particular is interesting—she was sculpted by a female sculptor in the late 1800s, Adele d’Affry, who operated under the male pseudonym Marcello🌻

She once drew a series of illustrations in which she let some Westernized characters, such as Disney princesses, wearing traditional Chinese costumes.

I also selected some western faces (I selected characters from the Harry Potter series) and tried to make them wear some traditional Chinese Hanfu.

Johnny himself might not know; Akihiro refused to believe that Johnny would endorse them if they weren’t, even if he really drank the Orchis Kool-Aid; but if he was working from within to dismantle Orchis, and Akihiro was still certain he was, Johnny couldn’t surely say anything to the contrary. Daken (a racist moniker), is a Biracial (White father, Japanese mother) bisexual mutant, son of James Logan Howlett & gifted w/ a similar power set (ie rapid regeneration & bone claws + extra pheromone powers); left an orphan when his mother was killed (and his father left), he grew up angry & vengeful, with a long history of violence, crime & villainy (ie joining the Dark Avengers; and later, ties to infernal forces); though, in time, he reconciled w/ Wolverine & found new purpose fighting evil, aiding heroes like the X-Men, X-Factor & Marauders!

Vána the Ever Young

I tried drawing her with flowers in her hair, but I liked the peacock feathers more, and I like the idea of the flowers just following her instead of being on her. They are not bound to her, they are merely small, young admirers following her, just like the birds, blooming for the first time in the Valie of youth´s presence!

And I love the idea of her being adorned in jewelry, she is the embodiment of youth, she is wild, energetic, and curious, of course she´s going to walk around in big jewelry! The motives are cats, harpies, and woman faces.

I gave her rose-gold coloured hair fading into pink because she is ✨EXTRA✨

i think that if Akihiro's story had been done right he could've been a subversion of the asian assassin trope since he was like... arguably just a regular kid until he was kidnapped by a creepy white man who exploits him as his child assassin like. every time we see Akihiro training w Romulus' people like everyone is white, or at least no one else is east asian (unless u count agent kim but like i think he's hydra so...)

the problem is that he's pretty much portrayed as a heartless killer as a kid before Romulus took him in which always made me just. Ick. but yeah idk

I also wish that he hadn't been the one to Decide literally to go by a racial slur he was called growing up like if we're doing the Daken thing i think Romulus shldve been the one to encourage him at least to use it...

Kinda crazy to me though that ppl dont talk much abt how Romulus literally takes him away from his country and his culture and exploits him as his child assassin like 😭 and thats why i think him goijg by Akihiro again was important cuz like it marks the part of him before Romulus came into his life officially
