Prince was 19 years old.

It is called Loring Park Sessions ’77, a series of free recording sessions in the studio of Loring Park (Minneapolis) owned by Owen Husney, Prince’s first manager. Eight tracks, all instrumental and untitled, realized with the participation of bassist Andre’ Cymone and drummer Bobby Z, who will soon become members of Prince’s first band.

Year ago today came down with the vid. Took me a month and a half to beat. The illness exacerbated a preexisting condition in my right foot which became septic, went to the H for another month, transtibial. The intravenous anti-biotics clashed with sepsis, invoking a dysphoric Alice in Wonderland delirium that persisted only as long as the anti-biotics were being administered. Felt like I was in a MKULTRA experiment where the staff were honing Mind Control techniques. Met my best self from a parallel dimension. He was funny. He took me on a tour of my Akashic Library and visiting experiences like Scrooge and The Ghosts of Christmas Past-Present-Future. I laughed a lot. Very grateful to be alive. I don't know if you know that sepsis has two stages. The first stage usually requires amputation of the infected part. Second stage, the EMT is instructed by Law to rub a little gel on your temple and in two hours you're dead. I am very thankful to be alive. Said many Thank you's and I love you's to God. Grateful for this brief experience.
