so many ridiculous grifters have successfully made lucrative careers off the martyrs in palestine. it’s obscene how deeply entrenched capitalism is for so many people that “successful” activism just looks like big numbers and money. that one “bookstagram” person wrote a book titled something deeply patronizing like “genocide is bad” and proceeded to make a bunch of ill-informed uneducated and violently liberal posts about syria, all whole plugging their book, and also (surprise lol) decided to align with anarchism as a response to constructive criticism (and many other large-scale creators, bemoaning “tankies”, gave their words of support lol). they have since apologized for “losing the plot” about syria and genera geopolitical history but i bet their book sold well. everything is so pathetic and disgusting to me when it comes to digital activism. everyone sees it as an opportunity for careerr activism, as if that’s a real thing that exists outside of capitalist structures. it’s a demand from them to excuse them from the pressures of life that makes it hard for others to manage more than one thing at a time. sorry this is long i just need to write i’ve been in my head all day and pissed off at these dishonest fuckers who think they educate when in fact all they do is evoke surface emotions of people to overwhelmed to do anything else

also so much discussion is about like fast food megachains and why they are or aren’t on the list (or even amongst the “organic boycotts” that the BNC feels the need to approve for some reason) and it’s people like “omg i’ve been avoiding KFC for a year now are they not on the list?? 😭” a) stop using that emoji you beast and b) avoiding? is KFC chasing you?
