what I'm gonna tell you now may sound obnoxious, but it's just the truth: you can decide to not worry anymore. if you make this decision, you can stop being in constant dread, paranoid and scared of tomorrow. if you consciously make the choice to be in the present moment, to face what's in front of you, to stop trying to project and predict and control and foresee, you will find peace and poise like never before. life will come at you, bad things will happen, and no matter how much you try, you'll never be prepared for the unprecedented or deny the inevitable. so it's up to you to decide whether you'll stay in an infinite loop of nail-biting affliction, or if you'll just allow your fate to unroll. it's a choice.

self-sabotage looks like surrounding yourself with people who are always complaining about every aspect of their lives. self-sabotage looks like staying in a boring (or even worse) relationship out of fear of feeling lonely later. self-sabotage looks like setting ridiculous, unattainable goals, so that when you don't achieve them, you can feel sorry for yourself. (self-sabotage looks like feeling sorry for yourself, often.) self-sabotage looks like never progressing on your goals and then the next week you just do everything exactly the same.
this world is already harsh and cold enough. stop being your own enemy.

“I don’t think people understand how stressful it is to explain what’s going on in your head when you don’t even understand it yourself.”
