A blast to the past - Assassins creed Origins
I am what people call a fanboy. I was big fan of the Prince of Persia games once, and suddenly Ubisoft released assassins creed, when the first game came out I immediately fell in love with the concept of having history as a playground. From thence, it has been 10 years for me playing every assassins creed games.
This year Ubisoft decided to make some bold steps and change the gameplay and reinvent the game itself. I was excited because I had long waited to see the beauty of Egypt.
Story:
The story is a classic revenge story mixed with lot of love and emotions. The franchise has a custom of making the fans get involved into the story, Origins does not fail in this. However after witnessing the trilogy of Ezio auditore da Firenze, the story of origins seem to be “just a step” underneath. The story is going to be an emotional roller-coaster for every gamer. The story takes you to every possible fantasy from walking beside a crocodile or fighting a big snake god. I am forced to mention at this point that every side quest of the game has its own story making the gamer feel like, they read a novel followed by a set of short stories. You also got events that will keep you amazed every week. check Anubis out in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUY-ODPTw2Y
Gameplay:
I initially believed it to be a very bold decision made by the creative directors to make the game look like dark souls. But this is not the case, initially I thought the game is going to completely depend on melee. The game encourages the players to take a stealthy approach. I spent some time on crafting my hidden blade so that I can easily one shot my enemies and it works. If your question is “Can I play it like an assassins creed game?” the answer is a big fat “YES”
Graphics:
The graphics of the game is astounding. I have no idea if someone can showcase Egypt to me in a better way. From lush colorful gardens to morbid ritual places, the game has it all. Watching the sun set besides a crocodile filled lake or watching a scorching sun rise in the great sand sea of Egypt is mind blowing. I believe the developers over did this.
Overall:
This game is a treat to the hardcore AC gamers. Ubisoft finally delivered !

Can a war game be made bloody brilliant - Battlefield 1
I am not a big fan of war stories. It is always the same old shit with people dying for patriotism and spies being your wives (i was thinking about Marion Cottilard).
I started battlefield 1 with no intention to get a good game out of it. I trolled myself and I was absolutely wrong. The start of the game got me really into it. The game has wonderful mechanics and a great gameplay.
Be it the air-combat, ground artillery or even sneaky missions, the game does absolute justice. battlefield 1 takes you into the second world war. You get to be a part of the allied forces and relive the life of the soldiers who won the infamous Nazis.
The game is full of absolute surprises, you will be interested to know about the weapons used your ancestors. I never knew viking armors were a part of world war 2. The game is brilliant in its mechanics, from the toughness of your AI counterpart to the brilliant ideas you can make to outsmart them.
Who would not love to see some explosions and feed the craving desire to chill the nerves with some gaming violence. Battlefield 1 proved that ardent game developers exist to satisfy the deepest desires of a true gamer. Either be Italy, UK or Africa, the game shows the carnage of a real war.
The real success of a game can e measured by how it conveys the story. This game conveys the story of the soldier, his relationship with a friend, a brother, a foe, himself and even a machine. After a long time gamers have got a war game to play with passion.
On the whole, battlefield 1 is a absolute marvel ! a definite game to play !

Watch dogs 2
I am a gamer who is in much eager to play the game of the hacktivists. Me being an ethical hacker myself, I am automatically pulled towards this game. Unlike many gamers in the community, i personally liked Aiden Pearce the protagonist of the first game, and i was very sure that Marcus the new boy in town had to fill big shoes to satisfy my expectations.
The game happens in San Francisco, a huge american city. Right from landscapes, bridges, sea shores, buildings and the local hood everything was wonderfully designed in the game. Luckily the game had beautiful day-night cycles which is a hard thing to see in many titles.
The game starts with a hacker group recruiting our hero. This is the moment where the game developers have really tried to build a relationship with the characters and it worked out flawlessly.
We get a nerd hacker, a crazy engineer, a great friend and a beautiful designer. The game slowly moves as we get introduced to a cool villain, for whom we actually develop a likability at the beginning of the game. The hackers stand against a huge corporation which is a deja vu of the prequel. Several new hacks through bots and quad-copters makes the aesthetic of the game even better. There is literally a 100 ways to complete a mission.
There are memorable missions where the gamer can climb over the bridge itself and do a graffiti. There are crazy stages where you have to escape a prison full of swarming guards. The game was absolutely enjoyable and memorable. Ubisoft has clearly learnt that death in the family will help to connect more with the gamers, (spoiler alert) yes, we got a tragic part in the story, making a fun moving story, a little revenge oriented.
We also get a blast from the past when we meet the fossil “Ray Kenny” to make the story more interesting. With Ray and the crazy Wrench in your ears the mission feels robust. Ending the game really gave me a great satisfaction.
Overall the game was great, I was shipping marcus and sitara from the beginning it was disappointment, apart from that the game lacked good music like mafia 3 but the mechanics, graphics and game-play were astoundingly brilliant ! A definite game to play !
