Ike smirked, knowing that look far too well, raising his hands in an ‘I come in peace’ kinda way. “Yeah, I gotta go record something for my channel anyway. You two have fun~" 

He says, making his way to the stairs all the while Kyle glared at him with a pout to his expression. It suddenly changed when Ike stopped halfway up the stairs and speak  "Don’t forget Ky, no glove no love~” Only to dodge a shoe that was thrown at him and rush up the stairs to avoid Kyle’s rath. Leaving a blushing kyle with his arm extended outward. 

Moving to stand up straight, Kyle looks back to Bebe with a flustered expression to his face. “I’m sorry about him, my parents left for a date night and left me to take care of him.” Even though he was 15 and had skipped at least two grades. Ike was more than capable of taking care of himself. Not that Kyle really complained, he’d get yelled at if he did, but he didn’t mind it usually. 

Taking a breath to calm down, he holds his arm out to offer to take her coat. “Here, I can hang your coat up for you.”

Bebe couldn’t help but laugh. If it were Kyle himself saying such gross things, that would be completely different, but brothers were brothers - and brothers were complete dicks to each other. Silly boys.

“It’s fine,” Bebe hummed, shrugging her coat off. “Siblings are just like that, right?” She handed her coat over and glanced around the Broflovski home. It was clean, just like she expected, with family pictures on the walls. Cute. It was all very cute.

“When I was younger I wanted a sister so bad,” Bebe said, looking over at one of the family portraits. “Now,” she laughed, “I’m glad I’m an only child. No one around to embarrass me in front of cute girls.” She looked over and winked at Kyle, purposefully hoping to embarrass him further.

“So,” she said, a hand on her hip, “are we going to your room?” She could have added an extra wink, but Bebe knew the rules - one wink every five minutes, or else you look either creepy or desperate. No, thanks!

   Kyle found it interesting; she was into speed runs and he was into the METHODICAL, slow win of a difficult game. Think Dark Souls III or The Witcher. He tended to play more casual games on stream. Hearthstone, Gwent, WoW, or Heroes of the Storm. What it came down to was two very different styles. They were two VERY different people.

   Kyle got the sense that Bebe liked him ― or at least liked talking to him. A prospect which he would have said was IMPOSSIBLE before this very conversation. Bebe Stevens had turned tail and sworn him on the do-not-call list the first time he yelled at her for complimenting his ass.

   Her nervous laugh brought him back down to earth, his brows lifting in CURIOUS amusement. Then he scoffed out a dry laugh. Her music taste was entirely unsurprising. Go figure.

  ❝ I kept up with DUA back when she had that song about the rules, or whatever?? But yeah, that’s just about what I expected. ❞   The SCARY thing was that she seemed to want to impress him. This was scary for only one reason: it meant she thought he was worth impressing. It meant she thought he was cool. And Kyle was good at faking it for short intervals. That was about it.

   He watched her through the screen for a moment, then he smiled and looked away.   ❝ You should show me sometime. INTEGRATE me into pop culture, or… whatever. ❞

Well, at least Kyle wasn’t mocking Bebe for her taste in music - ‘that’s just about what I expected’ was possibly the closest thing Bebe would let Kyle get to teasing her. At the friendship level they were currently at, anyway.

“You should keep up more. Listen to the stuff that isn’t constantly overplayed on the radio.” Bebe ran her fingers through her hair, shaking it out of habit to fluff it back up.

Integrate him? Well, if that wasn’t an innuendo... don’t say anything, Bebe. She kept her mouth shut, curved into a playful smirk.

“It’s a date, then,” Bebe teased. “You come over, and I’ll integrate you on everything you’ve missed.” She doubted it would be anything more than just listening to music, maybe playing some games together, but--

But... she could let her mind wander a little, even though Kyle was clearly not interested. After all, it wasn’t like thinking about kissing Kyle on her bed meant that she actually wanted to, shut up.

“You should head over when you’re free.” Bebe glanced at the time. “I still need to have dinner, so unless you’re into mukbang, I’ll let you go.” She looked back at Kyle on the screen, giving a small smile. “And then I can watch you stream!”

Clyde had the jock persona for a reason. It might have made Bebe like him if it wasn’t for all of the shoes she got because of his dad.

     It made Clyde upset because he saw how much more revealing Bebe was towards other people now and he knows that this wasn’t his Bebe. Once he heard her speak though, this was the Bebe he was used to. Clyde softly touched the girl’s shoulder as his tone became more comforting rather than confronting.

     “What made you think that in the first place?” Clyde actually wanted to shed a tear seeing the girl like this. “Just because bunches of assholes think that you’re suddenly easy? You’re anything but boring! You’re an amazing person, even if it has felt like you pushed me away from this new attitude.”

“I don’t know how you feel about me,” Bebe sighed. “I know you like me, but-- but how? Are you sure it’s like a sibling thing?”

She glanced over at Clyde, holding herself back from getting emotional. “I feel like I’m so on edge with you now, more than before, because I just don’t know what you want-- do you want to fuck me? Do you just want to fuck me? Is all this chasing just leading up to the one moment that you get what you want, and then you won’t want to talk to me again because I’m easy?”

Bebe ran a hand through her hair. “Or do you just want to... I don’t know. Hang out? It would break my heart either way-” She swallowed. Fuck it. “I don’t want to be nothing to you. But I don’t want to be some other things, either. Actually, if I’m not one specific thing, I feel like my chest is going to collapse on itself. So I’ve been freaking out, and trying to pretend I’d be fine with anything else. But I’m not, actually. Is that what you want to hear?”

Curriculars, social life, stream, calls with Ike every-other-day, dates when he was lucky enough to snag one, and on the off chance he wanted to actually make basketball tryouts ( God, he really did ), he had to fit that in, too. Was Kyle actually interested in what she liked? Maybe he was the type who liked listening to people. Actually -- that would be a pleasant change to who she thought Kyle was. She didn’t mind this Kyle. Interested. Actually wanting to listen.

“Do you want me to be honest?” She laughed nervously. Music was the one thing she didn’t completely open up about. She pulled open her phone and scrolled through her main playlist. “Um... Marina and the Diamonds, Lizzo, Dua Lipa, uh- Duran Duran...” Pink cheeks. She didn’t need to go any deeper. “You know! Fun music!”

It was tough to even spit out, but it had to be done. It hurt even more because he still loved her in the romantic sense and he didn’t want to see Bebe end up in this cycle that Kenny was basically in. Bebe probably didn’t even think that he loved her in that way, but the past is in the past.

Kyle was never really that sexual, Stan was an emotional mess and probably still figuring out his sexuality, Craig and Tweek are gay, Token’s literally dating Nicole, Jimmy’s…Jimmy. The only two names that he could think of who would actually take Bebe up on her offers are Kenny and Cartman. “This isn’t the reason I feel in love with you. I fell in love with the girl who will put a fucker down in their place for calling you a slut, the girl who secretly played games up until these recent years, the girl who still looks at me hoping there’s still something there. What changed?”

Bebe groaned. Bebe groaned because she knew Clyde was right. Something had changed, and it didn’t have anything to do with the streaming. Or, maybe it did. Bebe was on show. Bebe was constantly on show.

That three-word sentence alone was the most she had opened up to anyone in a while. “I started flirting, and people liked it, so I just kept doing it, and now... now, if I go back, I’d be boring.” She turned her head, looking out of the window, refusing to look at Clyde. “I know the way people feel for me isn’t genuine. No one really wants me. But I can pretend that I have tons of friends. Just like elementary school.”
