7th Blog Update
Like I said in the last blog that I had a terrible hangover from drinking too much last night. I resulted to going to Pho Viet in five points which has excellent Pho to cure my hangover and it did the job. I was disappointed about the football game last night but I believe we will have a winning season this year. After my hangover was cured I fell asleep for about 2 hours and I went to the USC women's soccer game against Coastal Carolina. Kickoff was at 6pm and the admission was free through the cockpit app. I received 1 point for attending but it was well worth it. I stayed for the entire game and it was action packed. No yellow cards and no red cards shown but there were 2 injuries and 5 goals. USC women's soccer dominated the entire match and beat Coastal Carolina 5-0. They gave out free shirts and free pizza. Every point I receive through the cockpit app I get one step closer to reaching my goal. Now you can start requesting football tickets but they reward football tickets to those who have points. I'm sure I'll reach my goal in no time. If you're not signed up for the cockpit app, I strongly recommend you to sign up and take in all the perks of being a USC student.

6th Blog update
Sorry I missed a blog post last night. I was busy working and watching the football game. Unfortunatley the gamecocks lost the football game to UNC. Like I said before in an earlier post that I live in Columbia and I'm well aquainted with the student life here in Columbia. Five points wasn't as packed as everyone thought it was going to be but there were still a lot of people out and about in five points. I had a blast but ended up drinking too much which caused one of the worst hangovers I've had in a while. I was surprised there was no student section at the stadium and the tickets were very pricey. There also wasn't a scanner for the cockpit app so nobody got any points for attending. All in all it was a good game and the first half was amazing for the gamecocks but we ended up losing the game which sucks but we will get them next time.

5th Blog update
Hey everyone I'm back with an update. There is going to be a volleyball game tonight. USC vs. Miami. I'll be attending tonight and I'm so excited to watch this game. I was disappointed I couldn't attend the game against Clemson but it's time to start racking in some points on the cockpit app so I can attend a football game this semester. I'm hoping USC wins tonight and I hope I'm not sending in any bad luck. It's also a Friday night and after the volleyball game I'm going to go out to Five Points with my friends and have a good time. First bar will be Jake's, then Breaker's, and maybe Rooftop to finish the night off. I hope to see everyone out there and I'll post more updates as the week comes to a close.

4th Blog Update
I hope everyone was safe during the storm. My hurricane party was a success. Everyone I invited showed up and more. I woke up with a slight headache but it went away after I took some ibuprofen. Quick tip, if you have a bad hangover, go eat some spicy pho. Your hangover will be cured after you eat a bowl of spicy pho. I did not go to the volleyball game yesterday but I wish I did. The line to get inside was insane 2 hours before the game started. The gamecocks went on to defeat the clemson tigers. It's a great victory for USC and a great rivalry win. I don't know my objective for writing this 4th blog so I'm just writing my thoughts. I'm aiming to see another game so I can gain more points. I missed out because the volleyball game was worth 2 points so I really need to step up my game if I want to get football tickets this semester.

3rd Blog Update
Today I woke up, walked my dog, got dressed, and headed to class. During class I received a notification from the cockpit app about a USC volleyball game. I was stoked to go so I rounded up the boys to go to the game. Like most events, the game is free admission for students. Because of the forecast and hurricane Idalia, we decided it wasn't a good idea to go to the game even though it would be a blast. Instead we decided to do our homework, cook dinner, and throw a hurricane party. I don't know what we are going to have for dinner but I know this is going to be one hell of a party. 0 points today and kind of disappointed this hurricane became a stick in the mud for my goal but I know there are going to be more events to come this semester. I hope everyone is safe during the storm but it seems to be nothing more than another tropical storm. Take it easy everyone and I'll keep posting updates.

Second blog and first soccer game
On Sunday August 27th I went to my first USC men's soccer game against Gardner-Webb university. Admission was free with the cockpit app so it gave me more motivation to go support. Kick-off was at 12pm so my day started as everyday starts by walking my dog in the morning. I showered and made breakfast after walking my dog and I got ready to go to the game. Stone stadium was only a 10 minute drive from my place so it wasn't a bad drive over there. I found street parking right away which was nice but when I walked into the stadium it was extremely hot outside. I grabbed a water bottle for $2 but the sun was overbearing hot. I felt bad for the players but they had water breaks every 10 minutes. The heat index said it felt like 105 degrees outside. Besides the heat the student section was more than alive and I was happy to be a part of it. Our men's team fought hard but got unlucky and fell to Gardner-Webb 2-0 full time. I received 1 point for attending the match and for a free admission, I wasn't complaining. That's 1 point closer to reaching my goal.

First Blog of the Journey to the USC Clemson football game.
Hey guys welcome to my very first blog! I'll be blogging about my journey to get student tickets to the USC vs. Clemson football game this semester. I've decided this semester that I should get more involved with the school especially attending more sports games. I'm a USC Sumter student but I live here in Columbia and many of my friends attend USC main campus in Columbia. I didn't realize I can still attend USC games here in Columbia for free by using "The cockpit" app which is a student reward app. In the app you can request football tickets but the more points you have the better chance you will receive football tickets. You get points for every sports game you attend and the cost is free to attend soccer and volleyball games. So this semester it's my goal to go to as many sports games I can so my chances of going to the Clemson game will be very high. I'll be posting updates daily on how my journey is developing. Below I posted a link to the cockpit app and a link to all of USC's athletic schedule.
