Flatfish flyby 💨
This Dover sole, Microstomus pacificus, lives along the Pacific coast from the Bering Sea to Baja California. It is a flounder, likely named for its similarity to the common sole found off the coast of Dover, England. It can live on the seafloor from less than 10 meters (30 feet) to over 1300 meters (4,265 feet) deep.
