i’m compelled to point out that you don’t have to be ashamed of stanning ej. he’s a kid who grew from his mistakes - he understood that he was manipulative of nini in an almost dangerous way and he apologized for it! he continues to make active changes to his behavior and i loVE TO SEE IT. it’s so important for kids to understand that toxicity and manipulative behaviour can be actively eradicated from your personality or personal tendencies if you put in the work - and ej is/has been putting in the work. he’s a teenager who’s LEARNT that he was being a red flag boyfriend, he has REFLECTED and APOLOGIZED. 

he’s a that’s teenager growing and learning - cancel culture shouldn’t exist for him bc he’s actually GROWING and that’s what we want!! ej happy and healthy and wholesome is what we want. stan ej - he’s wholesome and pretty and some of the best comedy in the hsmtmts eps right now. and he clearly has more depth that will be explored if he’s in s2 (which i’m sure he will be).

Carlos stans, can we please address the sheer brutality of 22:47-23:27 in S1:E3 “The Wonderstudies” ????

Because Mr. Mazzara delivering that line to Carlos about “finding some friends under the age of 35” was so mean and hit me so hard that I just REALLY think we need to address Carlos’ life before the start of the musical because that boy just seems so freaking lonely in the beginning of season 1.

Bit drunk but I feel that Andi Mack should not have been forgotten as quickly as it has been like,, a show where the protagonist is an Asian teen girl, storylines about learning difficulties and dealing with parents in the military, openly gay kids and an actual deaf character... all on Disney channel? Groundbreaking. And just pushed to the side immediately.

I still see people trying to compare Andi Mack and HSMTMTS and yes, by saying Andi Mack has better rep than HSMTMTS is comparing the two shows.

I won’t deny that Andi Mack does indeed focus heavily more on the rep, like there was a whole ass coming out/gay relationship, several anxiety, learning disability, military, and cultural storylines, etc but as I’ve stated in my other posts regarding this topic, even tho HSMTMTS does feature some poc/gay rep, the show is not focused on that... like if you look under the category on disney+ it says ‘romance, drama, comedy, music’. That is what HSMTMTS is about. And as we’ve seen, they focus heavily on romance and music, so it’s not fair to compare the two because it’s just impossible.

If you’re looking for a show that centers heavily on rep, I’m sorry to tell you but HSMTMTS is not the show for you. Their rep is more subtle (like they’ll mention Nini’s heritage here and there while the gay rep is subtle... like it’s natural and not made a big deal because in-universe it’s all normalized)
