This is more just a face and facial stuff cause I’m still working on his outfit but let’s start:

^Now for this ignore the goggles but I think he would wear a similar mask, the tube I honestly think would be for filtration and for air, he does a lot of search and rescue so he doesn’t want to be inhaling thing but also he wants something to give to the people he rescues so they don’t have to breathe it while he’s getting them out, bonus is he could test the filter later to try and figure out if this was like an intentional attack and what was used

Welcome to me realizing a danganronpa oc I have had for years fits scarily well into a piece of media

His backstory is uh ROUGH:

Isamu was raised primarily by his father, who was a cruel man, he saw Isamu more like a test subject, more like he was devoted to what would be his greatest creation. This is because he was a chemist himself, one who had been shunned by the science community for the things he wanted to create and test, those things being chemicals to create a perfect individual. The perfect human, calculated, intelligent, strong, fast, adaptable.

Isamu was going to be this individual, his father knew it, this lead him to continually trying to create and get the chemicals right, testing it more and more on his son. Preaching to him about how he only wants to help him, how the rest of the world doesn’t understand, that they are against the two of them, that he is the only one who loves Isamu.

The reason he was primarily raised by his father was because his father felt that his mother was a bad influence. Too emotional, corrupting Isamu, making him stray from their goal. Coddling him, and eventually had enough. Taking out Isamu’s mother when he was very young. Leaving the young boy with little to no memories of his mother.

Eventually his father was found out, found and killed so close to his goal, shot dead infront of Isamu.

Leaving him with a hatred and distain for the outside world, while he continues to research and uncover his fathers notes to finish what he started, to become the perfect individual.

Unable to see through years of abuse and conditioning that what his father had for him was not care. That the pain he was put through was not love.

That his Father was not the victim.

Can we talk about how much Shuichi idolizes and ignores people’s flaws (Kaede and Kaito) and just sees them as all great who’s words are never questioned? He puts them on such a high pedestal that their bad behavior is somehow justified in his mind. If Kaito were this homophobic I think Shuichi would immediately think there was something wrong with him instead of something wrong with Kaito’s morals. He sees people in such extremes, the only person to break that way of thinking was Kokichi up until the end of chapter 4 at least in the English version.
