It's been a while since I posted stuff here and I keep mostly getting very blurry pictures from our roleplays that nobody wants to see, but oh well. Named it an RP blog, now you have to just go with it. So here's a fun one: a Ron+Hermione+Harry in Silmarillion AU. Just kidding) These are actually original (and one canon) characters we've created for our Dor Lomin RP this June, but they had somewhat similar dynamics to the Golden Trio. May I present, left to right: Hundir, Gaelir and Hador the Golden Haired. And not even blurry!

This casual snap from inside a bush filled with gnats somehow turned into a pre-raphaelite painting.

La Résistance, 1942 France. Boy, this role play was SUCH a cactus. Putting yourself in a position of someone constantly in danger, constantly helpless and terrified about their loved ones... well, it was an experience, but I don't think I would want to go through it ever again. Also, their hairdos are hell! Had to put in about 20 bobby pins for it to stay in place for a couple of hours.

Some cool suggestions, we'll see how many of these I'll be able to fit in during my visit to Moscow.
Hello. Hey. Hi. I just wanted to say that you are amazing and your content and creativity and blog and everything are perfect and a joy to see! Also I was wondering if you have any recommendations for Moscow. I am traveling there in October. No pressure to answer though. Hope you have a lovely day :)
here are a couple places i personally like going to in moscow (mostly in summer though, be prepared for quite cold and rainy weather in october - take a suitcase of sweaters please)
Artplay (metro station Kurskaya, circle line) is a pretty neat space to look around, you can go and see an exhibition if you’re into that - currently they’re having one about Claude Monet:
youtube
or eat at a really nice (and cheap!) vegan place called Fruits and Veges, out of all the vegan places in moscow this one is my favourite, it is very unique and run by a bunch of friends
about 5 minutes from Artplay there’s also Vinzavod - a centre of contemporary art so again if you’re into that you might want to take a look at their exhibitions while you’re there
next on our list are Gorky Park and Muzeon - those are two nice parks located on both sides of the Krymsky Bridge (metro stations Oktyabrskaya or Park Kultury, circle line) there are a bunch of things you can do there from eating out to feeding ducks to watching a movie in an open-air cinema, they have all sorts of things going on http://park-gorkogo.com/en/places
and while you’re there definitely spend some time in Garage which is a relatively new museum of contemporary art with a cute book shop next to their box office
another neat space around that area (when you’re moving away from Muzeon towards Kropotkinskaya station, red line) is Red October (which used to be a chocolate factory) with the Lumiere Brothers center of photography and it’s always a nice little walk from there towards the Patriarshiy bridge and if you’re into iconic buildings you’ll see the Cathedral of Christ the Saviouron the way
a more central place to walk around is when you go from Kuznetskiy Most street (metro station Kuznetskiy Most, purple line) down to Kamergerskiy Pereulok it’s full of places you could eat at and leads you straight to the Tverskaya street which is one of the main touristy streets that goes to the Red Square and St. Basil’s Cathedral
i also like walking around the Patriarch’s Pondsarea (a slightly tricky walk from metro station Tverskaya, green line) it is extra nice in the evening - it has lots and lots of places to eat at and drink coffee or wine if you’re into wine - my suggestion for coffee would be Nude - Coffee & Wine Bar, Scramble for pancakes or cider and Fresh for salads, smoothies and everything vegan
and one last suggestion - Danilovsky Market (metro station Tulskaya, grey line) for trying new food, it is just a place FULL of options from traditional russian foods to asian to coffee to smoothies to literally anything
don’t forget to download a metro app or use this website to plan your trip https://metro.yandex.ru/moscow?ncrnd=4809

Opera is so strange. I’m listening to the Queen of the Night’s aria from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. The Queen sings about her anger and bloody revenge and you-are-no-daughter-to-me and so on, and then she starts to squeak. Intricately. I mean, okay, it’s a complicated tune to sing, but what does it mean from the emotional point of view? Does the Queen have a seizure? Has she turned into a particularly malevolent swift?

Darling king Richard) Can't get this song out of my head. Actually, this whole series is a nest of earworms. Relative Middle Ages known to roleplayers big and small in all its wild, gory, and beautiful ridiculousness.

I love the term “partners”. Are we dating? Are we robbing a bank? Do we run a legal firm? Are we the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies and are members of an elite squad known as the special victims unit? Who knows.

Okay, definitely the most relaxed role play, our take on Damekko Doubutsu. Need to display an emotion? Hoot! Asked a question? Hoot and look stupid. Wanna do something? Hoot! Wanna attract attention? Hoot! Oh, and don’t forget to look stupid. The easiest character with the most elaborate makeup So refreshing after a busy week))
