This blog is dedicated to Marko Paasikoski, founding member of Sonata Arctica. He played guitar when Sonata was still called Tricky Beans, leaving the band few days before their first deal. He returned in 2000, this time to play bass, which he did with great skills for more than 13 years. In august, 2013 he left the band to reach new horizons and lately he became an honorable student :)

Why Marko is so quiet? nilist?
...what?A) he's a Finn. Finns tend to be quiet by nature unless they're full of booze.B) he seemed pretty chatty when I talked to him. I dunno what you're on about.

Hi .... could not say anything about Marko, even if not in the band's affection for him remains the same
Hello... all I can say is that he is fine and happy with the new path he chose for his life, already graduated and with his new job.
I know it's hard for us fans to let it go, and it doesn't matter how much it hurts we all need to understand that leaving Sonata Arctica was the best thing he did to himself and let's just be happy that HE IS HAPPY now.

hi, would like to know if you have any news about Marko ... it is true that he married?
Hi, I understand that you want news but…this stuff is private and I don’t feel like betraying his trust in me. He is no longer a public figure and he doesn’t want his stuff out in the open anymore, and I will respect that.
I CAN tell you that he just graduated and he’s very happy, and that’s all you’re gonna get out of me, sorry.
