The AO3 Demographics Survey 2024 has arrived!

This project is an independent survey (not affiliated with AO3) which seeks to research the demographics and behaviours of AO3 users. The survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete, will be open until 1 February, and can be found at https://forms.gle/2kt5J17ipzcAbnFY9

Fo you only ship jessa?

It’s not the only thing I ship, but for TID, my emotions about other ships are rather tepid by comparison. I’m barely in the fandom anymore. I just occasionally see some OTP things on my dash and squirrel them away on this blog for safekeeping.

A new illustration that was featured as a display triptych in the @illumicrate Chain of Gold Special Edition box! It features the main trio from the Infernal Devices trilogy, Will, Tessa and Jem!

I had a really fun time with this piece, and it allowed me to get in some nice expression detail for the two pairings. The flat colors (meant to replicate stain glass) was an appealing style to work in! Black Friar’s bridge can be seen behind the couples in the time period that they’re in. (’A bridge through time’)

I must say, I’m super new to the Shadowhunters world - at least in the book spectrum. I was suuuuuper put off from reading the series since I distinctly remember not enjoying the original City of Bones film. Unrelated to participating in this box, I did get some prodding about this trilogy from other readers, and the time period setting really appealed to my tastes. I started from TID #1, went back to TMI #1 for world building context, and finished off TID #2 and #3 - and I very much enjoyed it! I was working on the Nutcracker Papercraft as I was listening to the final chapters of Clockwork Princess, and y'all………….

Here we have the beloved by all James Carstairs from the Infernal Devices and Ghosts of the Shadow Market by @cassieclare1. What can I say about this beautiful person? That it was so hard to draw him. Looking up another artist works, I found out that is completely different from one piece to another. So this is my illustration of him, hope you like this version. 💚 also, no need to say that the Infernal Devices boys won by far with 186 votes over 84 from the TMI and 82 from the TDA. So… you know who is next😏
