Davia didn't know why she was rambling to a man that she had just met, she didn't know what had even got her talking in the first place. Maybe it was because she felt alone here, because she had no one else to turn too. She hadn't spotted anyone else from the Coterie and her usually confidant, Dennis, seemed like a distant memory now. "No," she corrected him, "I don't care about what people think." That wasn't true though, she did. She had been battling to stop doing exactly that for her entire life. It seemed it was always one step forwards and two steps back. "I'm doing Burlesque for me, to make me happy, because it makes me feel confident. I just...I was really excited about our new show and to see people putting it down right in front of me gets under my skin because we work so hard at what we do. I feel like if you don't like it, don't come watch, don't support it, I don't understand people who think that their opinion is so valuable it needs to be heard."

Gabriella hadn't meant to creep on the other. In fact, she had just been walking when she had heard the soft singing. It wasn't loud and demanding attention, but was instead rather gentle and yet somehow inviting. She listens until the other is done with her song, and then she interjects, "you have a lovely voice." She realizes after that it probably wasn't the best practice to sneak up on someone unannounced. Perhaps she had interrupted the other's alone time, that wasn't something she wanted to do. "Sorry, I didn't mean to interject, or invite myself to listen. I was just walking by and it sounded so beautiful. I couldn't help but stop. I'm Gabriella, I teach music and stem at the high school."

Iggy usually, well for the past few nights anyways, had found himself in the bar after his shift. Tonight wasn't unlike any other night this week, and so again he sat on the same stool he'd been sitting on all week. Iggy overhears a rather short yet unpleasant encounter that the man next to him has with another. He looks over momentarily, he was about to interject, but soon realizes it isn't necessary. It's evident that the stranger can handle himself. Iggy waits until the moment has passed between the two, the man sitting beside him seems to have prevailed, so Iggy picks up his beer and extends it to him. "Cheers man. Haven't heard someone stand their ground so well in awhile. My names Iggy, you should let me buy you a beer. I have a feeling you're a guy with a lot of stories."

"Wait so you're a carpenter?" Gabriella asked, genuinely interested. She was always intrigued by the professions that others chose. She couldn't imagine doing anything other than what she was, except perhaps actually performing. That was something she had always longed for, and unfortunately, she didn't remember having that opportunity. "Do you like it?" She leaned forward on the table as she asked the question, eyes focusing on his as she maintained conversation. It was kind of him to offer her the seat next to him in the overly crowded coffee shop. The least she could do is make conversation with him. "I'm Gabriella by the way, thanks again. I really was standing in a lot of people's way trying to drink my coffee and you really didn't have to offer me a seat, but it was kind. Sometimes I think the world would be a simpler place with a little bit more kind in it"

Trevor Grant x Ian Gallagher

Trevor and Ian hadn't exactly left things awesome the last time they had seen each other. Trevor had put more of himself on the line with Ian than he had ever meant too. He didn't want to stand in the way of love and so he had taken a step back. That didn't mean that he didn't think Ian couldn't of handled things differently but, all in all, he was happy to have run into the other here. He didn't understand what they were doing here, or why they had both been brought to this place. Honestly though? Seeing a familiar face was welcome. It made him feel both more and less crazy. Less because there was a sense of familiarity in Ian, this was something that maybe they could tackle together. More, because a part of him wondered if this was some fever dream he had thought up for himself to bring them back together. Of course, Trevor didn't even know if thats what he wanted necessarily. He wanted Ian to be happy, whatever that looked like, whatever that meant for him. He didn't want to be caught up in the middle of anything, and he didn't want drama. That whole world seemed so far away now though, as the two of them walked down the street.

"Honestly, it's nice. to see. a familiar face. I was starting to think I was here alone. There's something going on here, something that doesn't make senes. Some people seem so at home, and then others remember that they aren't from here. I don't really understand it. How long have you been here?"

Iggy was leaving the shop when he heard someone call out to him. He had been working in an auto shop fixing up cars and bikes. In truth, he had always been good with his hands. He understood how things work and he was able to take them apart and put them back together seamlessly. He turns around, to see what all the fuss was about, and is met with a redhead who seemed to think that they knew each other. Iggy's brow furrows, and he shakes his head, smiling in spite of the all around weird interaction. He wasn't one to apologize, no matter what the context, so instead of saying 'sorry what?' he goes, "Listen here Gingersnap, I don't think you know what you're talking about and I certainly don't know what the fuck your on about. What I'd like to know though is how you know my name? You come by the shop earlier, that it?" A smirk grew on his features. Iggy was used to being admired, and he wouldn't admit it out loud, but the other wasn't bad looking, "if you wanted my number, coulda just asked me, didn't have to track me down after my shift and chase me down like a madman."

Davia didn't know what it was about this place that wore her down. Maybe it was being so far from her friends, or maybe it was that she felt like a completely different person here. She was so worn down that she turned to the first person who would listen to her and she let it all out. How she'd been feeling, how lonely it was, all of it. She had talked and talked and talked until she was out of breath. Now she sat in everything she had said, and in the silence that passed between the two of them. Finally she dared to speak again, hoping that she could at least shed some light on her outburst.

Trevor bent into his car to retrieve the business card for his LGBTQIA+ youth centre. Mostly they dealt with LGBTQIA+ youth that needed a place to go, he helped to ensure they found safe homes as a social worker. Of course, that wasn't all the centre did. They had multiple groups for people having a hard time, amongst other things. He smiles at the stranger gently, offering the card to them with nothing but a genuine shine in his eyes.

"Don't count me out, I can handle all the baggage that you're carrying."

Gabriella didn't know a ton of people in town, so she was grateful to get the chance to talk to the other woman as the two of them stood in line waiting for coffee. She wasn't sure what it was about Beth's face that made her seem trustworthy, but after a few minutes of talking she was telling her about her latest escapades in the dating world. She was recounting what the latest man she had been out with had said to her, all of it causing Gabriella to walk out and leave him with the cheque. "You tell me what I want, what I want to hear, make me believe in magic, and disappear." Gabriella recited his words, shivering afterwards. "Thats what he said to me! As if I was someone he had known for ages and as if I owed him anything. It was all very strange, the way he said that I made him believe in magic. It was such an odd thing to say, considering we had only been out a few times."

how long has your character been here

Davia has been in Washington a little over two years. She knows she isn't from here, and she knows she's supposed to be in Los Angeles. What haunts her the most about being here is being away from her friends at the Coterie. She tells herself they don't know how to get on without her, but the truth is, she doesn't really know how to get on without them.

what is your character's job**

Davia works at 'La Vie en Rouge'. It's a Burlesque style dance club where they put on a few alternating numbers each weeknight and a brand new number every night of the weekend. She loves it as it has inspired her to be more confident about her body. It is something she never saw herself doing before she did it in LA. Since she has to be in a place that she doesn't understand, around people she doesn't know, she wanted to keep at least one thing from Los Angeles and bring it here in order to feel more at home.

where has your character been pulled from in their fandom

Davia has been pulled from the end of season 4 in the show. She remembers everything that happened canonly in the first four seasons of the show and due to this is makes her want to get back to Los Angeles all the more.

has any magic affected your character

Yes!! While Davia does have all of her memories intact, in her two years in Washington she has tried to leave 5 times. Every single time she tried to leave she found herself drawn back to Washington. Although she knows that it isn't the real Washington, DC every time she tries to escape she is plagued by an indescribable homesickness that causes her to return. On two of these occasions, the homesickness began to affect her physical health as she tried to fight it in order to return to Los Angeles.

how long has your character been here

Gabriella has only been in Washington for a little over a year. She never really felt like she had to do any adjusting because when she arrived in Washington, she believed it was where she has always been. She doesn't remember anything about her past life or who she was, but that doesn't mean that she is a different person. It more so means that she doesn't have any memories of her high school musical moments or any of the people that she connected with in that time. Gabriella also doesn't remember other key plot points that happened in her life after the canon of high school musical was over. She doesn't remember being with Troy, she doesn't remember her best friends, she doesn't remember going to University and graduating with honours. Gabriella doesn't remember any of it.

what is your character's job**

Gabriella teaches musical theatre classes as well as STEM classes for her line of work in Washington. The classes are for ages 15-18 (separated by grade) and she teaches them at the high school in Washington. She loves teaching the kids all about theatre and music and getting to use her own love for singing in her work. In addition to her musical theatre class in which she gets paid to teach, she also runs a drama program for kids on a volunteer basis that is held after the normal schooling hours. The kids that attend her musical theatre/drama club put on multiple productions for the school.

where has your character been pulled from in their fandom

She has been pulled from after the airing of all three High School Musical films. To be more specific, Gabriella has been pulled from where she would be in her life during the airing of High School Musical: The Series.

has any magic affected your character

Yes!! Gabriella has no recollection or memories of her past life. She doesn't know the things she did, relationships she had, or people that she has met. The magic seeps into her late at night, in the form of very vivid dreams. She dreams about the life that she used to live, but of course, Gabriella doesn't understand that these dreams are actually real memories of a life she lived previously. She simply thinks that they are dreams of what her life could be if she hadn't grown up in Washington and decided to stay there and make a name for herself.
