Do you have any headcanons for Rex?

I've got a bigger post in the works for him, so these will be just some minor points for now:

Due to FusionFall already combining the various cartoon worlds into one, the events that would occur during the Ben 10/Generator Rex crossover are different: Rex and Ben would know each other already thanks to the relationship of the groups they work for and public identities in their teens, so there's no misunderstanding and their first meeting isn't a battle. Overall, they have a good friendship and work well together as a team. If anything, it's typically their similarities that can cause them to clash on occasion. When the both of them have some free-time, they'll hang out together often.

Rex's brother, Caeser, is even more swamped with his research than usual due to the added troubles of the war; however, it's almost entirely by choice. He loves what he does and gets tunnel-vision easily when it comes to his job. Outside of field tests, he typically stays cooped up in his lab. Someone, please bring this man food so he remembers to eat. He and Ben also get along pretty well and debate smoothy flavors. Rex's participation in the war tends to keep him at the Providence Outpost in the City, so the two don't get to see each other as often outside of Rex's visits back to HQ--typically when the teen is still working, either helping train fusion fighters or getting called in to deal with an EVO.

According to the FusionFall wiki, Rex would survive during the events of the Future, as he was seen there on his Rex Ride. He likely missed the Battle of Tech Square, prioritizing the evacuation of civilians across the City as it fell.

Since Rex's machines are basically an extension of himself through his nanites, his imaginary energy (IE) is already synthesized with them. So long as they have a strong enough IE, he and similar EVOs can fend off fusion monsters without needing all of the equipment a typical organic being would. Nevertheless, he still can't regulate his IE itself and his body can't withstand fusion matter exposure without the use of a mech form. His best means of defense typically are his "block party" gauntlets.

FusionFall Headcanons: Providence

Similarly to how I addressed things like the Great Mushroom War and Aku’s dominance over the Earth, for the sake of FusionFall’s combined timeline, the Nanite Event is downscaled.  Rather than spread the incomplete nanites across Earth’s entire atmosphere, the accident mostly concentrated in Abysus and its surrounding areas.  However, various individuals/locations outside of Abysus would still be affected due to EVOs similar to Breach–possessing teleportation/the creation of dimensional portals–turning and warping to different parts of the globe during the mayhem. Outside forces like nanite dealers, those interested in manipulating EVOs, and others who are against curing EVOs would also contribute to the spread.

Thank You, Dexter

At first, I thought it was just a simple crush on a fictional character. But I realized not too long ago that it runs much deeper than I thought.

If I ever feel touched-starved, lonely, or depressed, it's like Dexter's instantly there to comfort me. I always think of him wrapping his arms around me and pulling me into his chest, telling me that everything is alright. And every time he does, I believe him. He's gone through so much, just like me, and still manages to pull such a confident smile. Not to mention how incredibly smart, handsome, and kind he is despite his arrogance haha...It's just so weird but fcking amazing how much I adore this guy. 

This is sort of a thank you piece towards Dexter. I know how it sounds since he's a fictional character, but at least some part of him will always be real to me. Dexter's 'existence' has helped me through some really horrible times, and my connection with him has always given me a reason to stay alive and keep going.

Thank you, Dexy, I love you so much

FusionFall Headcanons: Azmuth

To Azmuth, the war between Planet Fusion and Earth was concerning for multiple reasons.  Beyond the threat Fuse posed alone, he didn’t believe in the alliance Vilgax made with the fusion fighters and was worried that the tyrant would use it as a cover for one of his many attempts to steal the Omnitrix.  There was no way he could just wait things out with the two galactic-scaled threats on the loose.

FusionFall Headcanons: Flapjack

With its near isolation in the middle of the ocean and close proximity to dangerous locations such as the Sea of Teeth, Stormalong Harbor didn’t have much a chance when the invasion hit.  Many people when forced to flee, Flapjack, K’nuckles, and Bubbie included–and in the process, the trio was separated.  However, this young adventurer tries to keep a positive, upbeat attitude despite all of the disaster surrounding him.  Determined to bring his mismatched family back together, Flapjack will explore any part of the wide world he now finds himself in.

FusionFall Fic: Wayward Souls

(Over the Garden Wall in FusionFall, requested by @tonixman, might be due for a part ii because I kinda like this idea.)

As another soldier spawned from the nearby Resurrect ‘Em in a flash of gold fire, Wirt asked himself yet again why he was even there.  He couldn’t fight on the battlefield: All he could do was help the ones who did during recovery.  And, for the most part, that was a joke since the Resurrect ‘Ems did most of the work.
