I've always told myself: "Kevin is a good brother." But then I just remember the scene in the basement of the agnostic family, where Karen called Kenny, but not Kevin, despite the fact that he was there next to her. It scares me, but what's scarier is the fact that Kevin didn't even come over and calm her down

Ohh yeah we have some scenes where he just does nothing like in the sodosopa ep when Stuart yelled and made Karen cry only Kenny went to her to comfort her. I don't see Kevin as a perfect good brother at all he is flawed, which is what makes SP interesting they are all flawed but at his core I do think he's a good kid and a good brother but as the preteen that he is those qualities won't show all the time.

I also blame Matt & Trey's inability to do any development with this character so he's often just as a background or not even there 🥲

For me because I'm a sucker for angst, in this type of situations I could see this at him just taking a step back, Kenny is the default better brother for Karen and we can see how he is her favourite, so I could see the thought of 'when Kenny is here she prefers Kenny and not me' running through Kevin's mind. Which then fuels angsty ideas for me of Kevin being insecure and frustrated because in the family Kenny seems to have it all while he has nothing
