i really do wonder what all of johnny's enemies are going to slather all their deathtraps with once the comics reach, uh [googles when people Figured Out about asbestos, gets distracted by the appalling yet not surprising timeline on all that] well anyway like not that villains would care if the human torch got mesothelioma but for their own health when preparing these traps if nothing else. like flying blind here i have no hint as to whether asbestos man is a one-off or some minorly iconic character. johnny's own personal paste-pot pete for all i know. but if he never shows up again maybe there is a retroactive and grim in-universe reason for that.

my other season-2-so-far note: the Continuity sure is kicking in, huh! unfortunate for me, Retainer Of Fuck All!
and i can't even blame it on the longass random breaks between my bursts of binging, because when agnes showed up for the... see, i was going to say second time, but it's not even the second time, it was the third time, that's how little i remembered her. and when she showed up for that third time i had already forgotten her name from not even 10 episodes prior despite probably having listened to that episode literally the day before.
i'm realizing now this is probably the number one cause of accidental self-spoilers because i keep checking the wiki to find out what previous episodes Blorko Jones showed up in and peripherally gleaning that they are the avatar of The Fuckening or whatever.

at first i figured it was just something to buy in on, alongside the non-diegetic soundtrack and the idea that every ass person giving a statement would be able to bust out elegant and gripping and coherent and at times philosophical descriptions of The Literal Horrors they underwent, but given the number of things he's been owned about by this point, i do wonder if someone is eventually going to bring up just how much Pussy jon has been putting into the voice acting. such as: the fact that there is voice acting at all.

my season 1 listening experience (90% paying attention while also playing supertux):
#statement regarding a horror podcast#i wanted to be Piecing Together The Mysteries but unfortunately as i've mentioned before my Fiction Detective skills are nil#+ the way i listen to this podcast (alternating between a bajillion episodes a day or weeks between episodes)#makes it difficult to notice Chekhov's Names Of Fucking Anything Or Anybody Ever#+ the difficulty multiplier of Retaining Information Conveyed Purely Through Audio#(i keep the transcripts open but i am coinflip assed to consult them.)#osmosis knowledge carried into this podcast: there are “avatars”? each representing Something and having a name like The [Whatever].#i don't know how many there are but my guess at some of them based on what i've noticed so far:#The Hweeyermz.#The Hot Hot Fire Ouchie.#The Big Lonely Silence Emptiness. (might be combining some?)#and The Web. (name accidentally gleaned from the wiki)#also i think there is one called The Spiral?
