@ritzcuit most people aren't familiar with Leo's game I think!!! Most people are too busy clutching their pearls over that he's mean and willing to prioritize many lives over the life of someone he barely knows to actually pay attention!!!

Leo is extremely justice minded and you can tell that from his pre-prologue dialogue on top of it telling you that he's been through shit. Even before this episode I could tell he grew up in less fortunate circumstances. A spoiled rich kid doesn't have the priority of "Life sucks and then you die, but I wanna make the people responsible for making life suck regret it"!

The first time we meet him he's seemingly scamming a guy who's trying to stab him. That guy is later in prison, with Sho saying they finally caught him. As in, he should've been in prison long before. That's because Leo's targets are all scummy people who abuse their power and wealth and probably have been getting away with breaking the law in some way that's been harmful for everyone else for a long time!

The teachers he goaded into punching him IN MIDDLE SCHOOL? No amount of being angry at A TWELVE YEAR OLD should prompt you to punch them. And Leo got them fired--and made three more quit, probably with similar cause! And the group chat for the class went wild whenever he did--probably because those teachers were scummy and abusive already and he just made sure they couldn't get away with it. Remember--Sho said that Leo putting himself into the line of fire to lure out a threat is an extremely Leo-like plan? He's been exposing people for being shitty for half his fucking life, by making them show how shitty they are to him. The people he doesn't expose he takes wealth and valuables from and threatens.

The fact that he' constantly goading Subaru? Remember that there was a recording from a tabloid that said that Subaru had abused one of his juniors in his troupe? Leo, the guy who spends a lot of time on social media, absolutely has heard this and sees Subaru--especially sees him trying to make nice with Sho!--and says you have a history and I don't trust you and I'm going to prove that you're a threat. And that's why he keeps bugging him! To either get proof that Subaru's changed or that Subaru hasn't changed and could be aggravated to violence and he can't be trusted.

Same with Tohma. He doesn't trust that he switched sides so easily. He doesn't trust that he seems to have some kind of drug problem. He doesn't trust that he's blackmailed and extorted people. He doesn't trust that he's making nice with Alan who's too careless and trusting to question someone who seems to be playing two sides and isn't keeping Jin in the loop. He wants to test him and see if he's still a threat, if he can still be trusted, if he's actually a threat to Alan and his ignorance?

And Dante, and Darkwick, and his many targets, and the gross old men he scams out of money with ai generated pictures of women--

Like he says. He doesn't care if people call him a demon. He knows what he is. He knows that he's not doing anything wrong per say. Even if his methods are a little crude. Like you/Eset said, he's testing people. Testing threats. Looking out for himself--and everyone around.

And why's he mean to the pc? Lots of reasons. He doesn't see her as a threat, no, he sees her as someone who'd be irrelevant if not for the special circumstances. So he doesn't have any problem amusing himself with her, although he also understands her use and importance. But more importantly I think he sees her struggle? He sees her trying to be strong regardless? And he's like. . .why though. You're a civilian. A normie. Why are you trying to not be angry? Why are you trying to not be sad or scared?? Why are you denying your feelings instead of letting them out?

I feel like a lot of his goading is because he wants her to be angry. Even if it's at him. At least let her let those feelings out somewhere. I feel like a lot of his teasing and bullying and goading is to 1) test people and prove if they're threats or not, 2) have people let their feelings out if they aren't actually threats(because what good is holding them in?), 3) help people recognize what bad behavior they might be missing from some larger source is by seeing it in a single person(him). Then they can do more to take care of themself by recognizing warning signs. (Of course a lot of that is theory and headcanon but I have reason to believe it's the truth okay.)

Just. People are so caught up in surface level 'but he's mean to the pc!!!!!! I don't like bullies!!!! >:(' that they don't give anything else any consideration I think lmao. Yes he uses people for his amusement but. Idk. He's a lot deeper than 'mean popular kid troll bully' and it showed very early on to me. As much as I'm like 'yeah I want Leo to be mean and bad and worse!' I've never thought he was mean and bad for the sake of it. All of it is defensive, giving too much of a fuck but not showing it, tired of injustice and people with power getting away with whatever they want. He, like Sho, is actually a really good guy. The whole thing with Vagastrom is they want change for the world. He just expresses it very crudely, because he doesn't actually care much if people like him or not. Being loved and admired is nice yes and it's very useful. I imagine he became an influencer partially so he could use that influence to expose more people, use his power for good as well as selfish gains. He's cynical, he thinks everyone is cruel and selfish, so he's playing the game so he has level playing field with the people he hates the most. And obviously you can't do anything if you don't look after yourself first, of course he's selfish, he values himself. But. Idk. Leo is very much a good person to me. He cares about what's right and what's wrong, he just doesn't want anybody to think he does to make things right. And I'm love him for that. _(:'3」∠)_
