AFRIKIN® Talks ignites the world’s conversation with the theme for 2018: Crafting the Narrative. Led by a notable keynote speaker, thought leaders, scholars and revolutionaries will discuss society’s active role in trying to psychologically dismantle people of color, but focus on possible solutions to strategically empower those in attendance to create concrete change, ways they can share with their specific audiences following the event.

 Striking beauties will grace the runway with collections reflecting the style and attitude of the earth’s most underrepresented streets, the fabric of the people put on display for AFRIKIN® Fashion. Through a wide variety of shapes and sizes, the ‘Black is Beautiful’ era is revitalized with a focus on natural hair, presenting originality so often appropriated, but seldom appreciated.The Food of AFRIKIN® 2018 delivers delicious dishes from world-class culinary artisans, while the open bar offers enlivened spirits to impress even the staunchest oenophile. The chocolate bar is a sweet addition to the night’s festivities.

As a rhythmic people, African drumming echoes the heartbeat of us all and AFRIKIN® 2018 will vibrate with the will of the ancestors through a timeless performance. Guests will enjoy electrifying musical acts, thrilled by the talents of top-notch artists from the continent and the Diaspora.
