after washing a knitted sweater, I lay it flat on a towel and then I slowly roll up the towel with the sweater inside it, stopping every half-rotation to place my knee onto it to squeeze out the water using most of my bodyweight, until I have this little compact roll of towel and sweater, and then I unroll it and lay the sweater out to dry
I need God to do this to me. I think being that sweater would fix me

yeah, it feels like the sun's never gonna come out again, and my country is descending into something orwellian faster than expected and it's snowing on the gulf for the first time in 21 years on the day someone is trying to take her name from her but alas, i have this cigarette to smoke and all these friends to love and these youth acolytes to teach how to light the altar candles. i have class in the morning and this little little life to live.

If you identify as asexual and Christian, check out this survey! It's for a book about asexuality and Christianity which I don't think is a topic that exists yet and is definitely needed. Please also share this with people who might be interested, the author currently has 10 interviews and would like to get to 50 by the middle of March 2025.

fyi your religious and spiritual practices don't have to make sense to anyone other than you.
im a christopagan, and most people can't wrap their heads around that. how i can pray the rosary and consult saints, and then proceed to light candles and do devotional acts for aphrodite and hestia.
but the thing is, they don't need to understand it. i understand it.
don't let anyone tell you your practice is invalid because they don't understand it. you understand it.

💫witch tip💫
because i once again forgot to add this to my list post, but have something that breaks up the stagnant energy in your rooms. like an analog clock cuz it's hands are always moving. or a lava lamp, or wind chimes.
something to keep energy moving in the room instead of letting it settle and build up
or you can be the movement. nowadays a lot of people are prone to doomscrolling. i personally believe that's a form of stagnant energy or gathering stagnant energy. i hold your hand when i say this (because im not immune to it either) but get up and interact with your space, acknowledge your space, appreciate your space, show some love to the items that surround you because they're there and pixels aren't tangible.

yesterday I spent a few hours making my own custom prayer routines to use with a rosary (one for praise and one that's more like "pls help me Jesus")
and I highly recommend doing it, the process was very challenging and fulfilling, it really made me examine what words resonate with me so much that I want to come back to them over and over again
and it was also just a lot of fun to gather material from psalms and other sources, and also add my own words in a few places

just heard “turns out, shockingly, that you can’t pray away your gay thoughts because you can’t pray away your capacity for love” from a wise Christian queer man on a tiktok comp, and i thought it’d be wise to share

to see so many people who call themselves Christian hate others so blatantly and without second thought baffles me.
we follow a God who preaches love at the very core, the heart and centre of His Word and yet i see so much hate and abuse and negligence come from the words and actions of Christians. how can you claim to follow God and His Son, to love Them both yet completely disrespect Their second most important command (the first being to love God) - to love your neighbour as you love yourself?
to every Christian who may come across this post, i hope God grants you the strength to love everyone around you. every single person. especially those people who you think do not deserve it. may God bless you all

i get asked a lot how I can be Christian if i don't believe in hell, but honestly, what's more important to me is the day someone asked me whether i loved God or loved heaven and feared God or feared hell. i began to finally understand that heaven, hell, purgatory, all of it-- it doesn't matter. i am not called in God's commandments to mark off the days as i wait for the afterlife, pledging devotion out of a desire for paradise and a fear of hell. i am called to love my neighbor, and to love Him. not to beg for a reward in heaven or to lose sleep over the idea of damnation. i am not here because I want something (or don't want something), I am here because I love Him.

i cherish my christianity the same way i cherish my queerness. they both are so dear to me, a space in which i can exist fully, with no judgement, in all my colorful shades and nuances. so deeply intimate, the truest and most vulnerable parts of myself.
